Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

He might not be good enough but his handling of rashford is a 100% spot on.
Yeah absolutely. Sick of hearing about rashford. He should have been hurting the most by the decline of this team but he couldn't even be bothered to put a shift in.

As for amorim he should be given a pre season but if the start of next season doesn't look better he will be gone. He annoyed me today not making changes. Rasmus offered nothing why not throw a kid on and see if he can step up.

The squad is shite and we missed some sitters today. Garnancho buries at least one of those chances it would have been a different game.

Been dealt a shite hand but could have given the fans some back allowing a couple of the youngsters around 15mins each. I understand him, but extreme stubbornness from managers that doesn't perform is hard to watch.

Can't hide behind the whole "he didn't want to be here midseason" excuse. He agreed to come and he has some expectation to show what he's about with the context attached. Unsure what his point per game is but it's probably atrocious.

Il guess it's less than 1point? Or there abouts. No amount of context can really explain that.

He’s lost me with his lack of subs today, baffling decision which is likely to lose him a lot of support, can’t see him getting another season but I still expect us to be a bottom half team next season regardless. I’m concerned the damage done to this club by the Ten Hag era is irreversible.
Yup. The damage has been well and truly done. Nobody’s going to be able to rectify this.

Chido is 17 and has barely started playing for the u21s, expecting him to play in a premier league game at all is a bit much at this point. The injuries and lack of transfers have screwed us.

I didn't say he should start. But I'm sure a 17-year-old with his build will be able to handle more than 3 minutes, though.

To be fair today the system didn't let anyone down? Spurs didn't do anything of any note and have scored from a scrappy goal.

We lack the quality clearly. We had 3 or 4 really decent chances that on another day, or for another team, end up scoring.

At one point in the first half for over 10 mins they had 75% possession against us. The system is clearly isn't working and/or he can't get it to work these players.

Both he and the players need to improve, except it's his job, reputation and faith from the fans to lose now.

Main thing missing from that was an inability to put the ball in the back of the net.

Disappointing result again but it's not the system.

This is life people. We’re absolutely fecked as a team and club. The money has dried up get used to this. It ain’t ever coming back

Coward….. not even trying to change the game and get a point. I don’t care if their kids are not Manchester United was built on youth.

Everyone says to protect the youth and their mentality when we’re in a bad spot. But how is this helping the more seasoned professionals? There’s zero confidence with anybody in the squad. And these games just continue this downward spiral

If it's true we need to sell to buy in the summer, then I don't see how he turns this round at the minute.

If you aren’t gonna trust the academy, especially when forced to, then you are at the wrong club, doubly so with our financial situation.

Jeez he would have still given fresh energy compared to HOijlund and Casemiro who were gassed.

Even Macheda produced brilliance as a sub doesnt mean he was ready to play as a regular.

Struggling to see it with him.

Speaks well in the media, and was quick to get rid of deadwood.

But we look absolutely clueless. This 343 isn’t working at all.
Same, I have to say. I think he talks a good game. I thought he handled the Rashford situation well. I’m seeing very little else to hang my hat on at the moment.

First time that I have doubted that Amorim is the right person for the job. Not bringing on anybody for so long is honestly criminal. Trusting in youth is a core part of this clubs identity.

I'm not so sure, I don't hold it against him but a different manager maybe gets him back onside, finds a place for others, inspires the team. I still think he is right to set levels, and the players should rise to them, but you still gotta work with what you have. That's always been a sign of a great 'manager'

Yeah lets sack another manager.... Give me a break, ETH was supposed to be the big problem at United, he's gone and now you're all looking to throw another manager under the bus.

How about we aim all the anger towards the glazers and INEOS who have fked this club up. Glazers for 20 years of neglect and INEOS for keeping that rancid family in charge of United.

It should have been a full take over or nothing but Jim Rat decided to keep them all here and with no iron clad way of getting them out.

So, all that training time and we get 50 injuries & a 10 minute spell of decent football in a 90 minute game. Not going to plan this.

Very disappointed today. I can understand his pragmatism considering we have a number of key players out, and an even bigger number of players available and in very poor form. But, not to make a sub until the 90th minute in any Premier League game is a very poor decision. To not make a single one when we're 1-0 down and chasing the game is just lunacy. We had to go for it in that second half. Yes, we had chances and the finishing was very poor, but we had to try something different in those final 15/20 minutes. This game was there to be won, and I do count it as points dropped.

I've supported him so far, but I'm putting this one in the 'negative' column. Even if the subs don't work, at least try. We were never scoring with those 11 on the pitch.

People already calling him clown, this place is beyond toxic.
People have finally realised that just because we get a new manager he is not the messiah. He is a clown because the what he is serving on the pitch is beyond a circus. He is found out beyond his pretty interviews he has no beef.

I’m starting to dislike this system but the fact we are clueless up top has a lot to do with it
This system is the problem.
Big teams dont use it. But magically we will be perfectionist with it. Life doesn't work like that.

In PL you need 3 real midfielders. Anything short of that you will be playing catch-up game

Good thing is Arteta was also a wingback manager and he changed to 433 and Arsenal fortunes changed immediately.

He needs to change tact ASAP

I can not see any progress at all, on the contrary. He stubbornly sticks to a formation that he clearly cannot explain to his players.

I totally don't understand that many fans in here see a light in Amorim. He has shown nothing yet, and no one understands what he is trying to introduce tactically. I wasn't a big fan of the hiring of Amorim, but I have to admit I never thought it would turn out this bad anyway. And "yes" I am negative and pessimistic about Amorim, but I don't see how you can be optimistic from his first few months at the club?

If anyone in here is smarter than me and can see what Amorim's plan is for the team, I'd be very interested to hear it, because I can't see any plan at all.

Sir Alex would have sold Rashford years ago. He got rid of bigger and better players than rashford

Totally agree. This has nothing to do with Amorim. These players are overpaid, under motivated and crap, and have been for a long time. No way this is on Amorim.

I think i have had enough of this Fraud and this 3-4-3 or whatever shit is being served. Spurs are having a nightmare of a season and riddled with injuries and every other team has beaten them recently. But obviously we would be the team to lose to them.

I think we need to sack him and try to salvage out whatever we can of this season by either getting the Fa cup or Europa league. This manager is a coward as well. Zhirkee, Casemiro and Hojlund were all done in the last 20 mins, what's the harm in sending 3 youngsters to see what they are all about. What's the worst that could happen we would have lost 2. A loss is a loss anyway, but it shows he does not have the bravery of top managers. The likes of Rashford, Garnacho etc all came on to the scene because of injury crises and a manager trusted them, it also sends a wrong signal to the youth players.
