Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

Struggling to see it with him.

Speaks well in the media, and was quick to get rid of deadwood.

But we look absolutely clueless. This 343 isn’t working at all.

So....this is the first time i've actually began questioning him. Very disappointed with his lack of subs/trust and use of the youth. He came here with some sort of reputation for also using youth at Sporting. Just reeks of cowardice, persisting with some of this lot - especially when Casemiro's legs had clearly gone in the first half already.

If he brought the youth on you can guarantee this place would be slating him for throwing young players to the wolves. Constant moaning no matter what he does.
Yeah cos everyone gave him shit whenever he played Collyer didn’t they

Here we are again with another manager almost at the the stage where we start to ask how long more can this go on.

Sadly he’s beginning to tar himself with the losing brush, tough to shake it now. If he gets to the end of the season he’s basically given himself a couple months to get us going or we are going to end up in the Ten Hag cycle.

His use of Obi then was baffling, what did have to lose in all honesty. Giving him them 3 minutes was basically a pointless substitution.

Him not putting any of the youth on is not good enough for me. That was cowardly. Lost a lot of confidence in him today. Huge red flag for me.

Didn't have a ton of options but he was cowardly with the subs. He's got some weird obsession going on with persisting with Hojlund despite the guy being so far off this level it's harming the team

If you cannot see why Rashford had to go, you are quite frankly clueless.
Our attackers are even more useless than them. Rashford was done here and probably deserves to go but he has immersive favoritism towards Onana and especially Dalot, who’re hot garbage. If you have standards, you need to apply them across the board, not selectively.

Clown stuff. With his fecking clown formation. Bruno and Casemiro in midfield, miles apart, for 90 mins. While 3 centre halves talk to each other behind them. Stop being a fecking idiot and play 3 midfielders, instead of 3 centre halves which we do not need.

Was clear at the latest by half time that he should have taken a defender off and put on a third midfielder.

Yep, he has done next to nothing to earn trust for the future backing

He said the structure of the team is awful and criticised the midfield several times, with Bruno ending up in the right midfield, pointing out gaps again and again.
Fair enough

I don't mind him being a stubborn cnut (if as Sporting fans say he is) but he's got to fecking show more, recognise the issues on the pitch and actually fix it. Ffs.

I’m starting to dislike this system but the fact we are clueless up top has a lot to do with it

I am always pretty much on manager side but today he is part of problem. You don’t wait until 91 minute to change.

He’s insisting on a system that just doesn’t work and the players are not suited to.
Yeah I can’t see it ending well if he sticks to that unfortunately

He’d have half a chance if we could splash the cash and get 4-5 players to suit his system this summer. But we can’t

It'll be a miracle if he makes it to next season. This is getting worse and worse, can't score to save our lives and injuries have crippled us even when we already have a weak squad.

Have faith in him but this is clearly not working, the players are neither good enough nor up to it.

Hojlund struggling out of there clearly and he puts up Chido for 3 minutes at the end.

At least Dorgu played in his actual position this time.
Chido is 17 and has barely started playing for the u21s, expecting him to play in a premier league game at all is a bit much at this point. The injuries and lack of transfers have screwed us.

You can’t keep just doing the same thing, with these results and performances and expect to escape criticism. It’s self harm at this point.

He had zero intention of using any of those lads today, sink of swim give them a go.

Jesus christ Hojlund could play for 5 hours and not score, give the youth a go, we'd respect it more.

More disappointed in Amorims lack of trust in the youth than the result. Honestly, really hope someone gives him a lot of grief for it. Definitely not the United way,

This guy isn’t making it to the summer window, and even if he does, I’m now no longer confident he has the ability to use those resources wisely. Properly lost me after that dross.

He’s insisting on a system that just doesn’t work and the players are not suited to.
To be fair today the system didn't let anyone down? Spurs didn't do anything of any note and have scored from a scrappy goal.

We lack the quality clearly. We had 3 or 4 really decent chances that on another day, or for another team, end up scoring.

He’s lost me with his lack of subs today, baffling decision which is likely to lose him a lot of support, can’t see him getting another season but I still expect us to be a bottom half team next season regardless. I’m concerned the damage done to this club by the Ten Hag era is irreversible.
