Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

This guy's team have the never say die mentality of United of yesteryear. Belief never wavering and players ready to run through brick walls for him.

Amazing comeback in his final match in charge to make it a perfect 10 victories in 10 matches in the league for them

Third game in a row where he's turned it around in the second half. His half-time talks must be epic.

He's him.

2nd game watch sporting this week and one thing I've noticed in both games is the intensity levels in their play.
They move the ball quick and willing runners on and off the ball all over the pitch.

I swear this is only ever an issue for us. Hopefully it’s resolved for the start of next week, the quicker he gets on the training pitch the better.

EDIT: I’m forgetting there’s an international break so it’s not that much of an issue if it’s delayed a couple of days.

It's not only an issue for us.

Seriously, can't something be done with this system? The very notion that you need some sort of process based on objective criteria to judge whether a PL club's managerial hire merits a work permit is beyond absurd. One of the biggest clubs in the world paid 11 million pounds to get him - is there something that doesn't tell you that running down a generic checklist of objective criteria will tell you something more meaningful about? Even if you think the general work permit system of the UK is sensible, this is just batshit crazy, a total joke.

Won’t start on Monday unless his work permit comes in record breaking time
Is there a city/liverpool fan working in the Home Office? It just feels like our lot always have to wait for the work permit a bit longer then the rest.

anyone know if he can start monday?
Can start his journey to England. We'll keep an eye out for him crossing the channel. Throw stones at his dinghy as he gets closer. It's are country and we'll let in who we want.

I'm pretty sure that every UK club deals with it similarly, it just doesn't make headlines the same way a United story does, or we don't hear about it because we don't follow other clubs news as closely as Uniteds.

And it´s time for us Sporting supporters to say fairwell to Ruben Amorim.

This season:
11 games - 11 wins in the championship; 39-5 in goals
4 games - 3 wins and 1 draw in the champions league; 9-2 in goals

Godspeed, Ruben. We´ll be watching you winning with Man United

Take good care of him, guys

They'll be quite a few Liverpool fans since it goes through the Immigration office in Liverpool

Good second half. Basing my entire opinion of the Portuguese league on this game, the standard is….not great
It's as good as the average team budget allows it to be. It's not a bad league for players to learn the tactical SIDE of the game.

Big decision to make regarding who he starts in midfield. Ugarte and Casemiro have formed a solid partnership but Mainoo can’t be forgotten about.

The last time someone said this about someone coming in, Donny Van de Beek happened.

Bad omen.

Neville will enjoy commentating on him with the weird noises he makes.
Álvaro Carreras goal against Porto. Helps us out by raiding our opponents too.

To be fair there's tons of games to come so they'll all get starts anyway. Rotation is going to be key.

I wouldn't read too much into it. They have played well together but their partnership only exist because Maino is injured and ETH was fired.

We shouldn't be running these guys to the ground anymore, especially mainoo. Rotating 4 players in 2 has been done for ages, I don't understand why rotation is such a big issue at united.

I really have faith in Amorim. Even more than I should probably have after 10 years of disappointment.
We've seen changes in organizational structure, we still need to bring in some more players to strengthen the squad but we already do have some players we should be able to rely on in the future, and we have a young, energetic manager who obviously wanted this challenge.
Hopefully this is it finally.

Mainoo shouldn't be starting that many games for us, he's a bit lightweight for me. Ugarte and Casemiro are very solid. They give a very good foundation for Bruno.

Who knows, maybe Mainoo works but I have a feeling Casemiro as a flexible 8/6 with Ugarte just being employed to break up play is suitable.
