Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

Amorim is gunna be in for a shock when he gets to work at United. This pace and intensity simply does not exist in our team.

Exactly what I was thinking, we just don’t have many players that play with that type of pace and intensity. He’s going to have to adapt initially and then build towards that over time.

So glad he has joined mid season as he has real opportunity to have look at the squad and get a head start for what changes are required in the summer.

Of course you never know how things will work out but if we had sacked Ten Hag and took our time with an interim, my god would we be looking on wishing we had him.

About the only thing missing from his CV was a big statement win in Europe. That'll do, pig.

Bonus: seems one of those coaches where his players will run through brick walls for him - meaning if we have some money available in the summer, we’d be favorites to sign any one of those sporting players IMO.

Poor guy is in for a shock when he arrives in Manchester…gonna be Sanchez all over again.

After one training session he’ll be calling his agent haha.

feel bad for sporting
having to say good bye to their manager in middle season on a high note.
He definitely should've stayed till the end of season but the situation at United left it impossible.

Nah, he can't adapt to the players, that's partly why ETH moved away from what he tried at rhe start. Took him 2 games to abandon it.

It has to be his way or no way from the start, the players have to sink or swim.

Had this happened a couple of weeks prior, media would’ve based our decision on this one result. While it was fantastic to see our new man beating City so emphatically, the media hype during that international break would be sickening.

All the best teams are full of hardworking players. That’s a given if we want to be successful. No matter who our manager is.

Yep seems like a bare minimum requirement the same as being able to string 5 passes together but we seem to struggle with both

Hope our lot watched that tonight if that doesn’t excite them nothing will

You have to commend United board for solving this quickly. I dunno if it would be easy after this performance.

Will be interesting to see if amorim can make utd play crisp passing game, sporting played counter attacking game with no interest in retaining possession admittedly first time watched sporting

Please, let’s all remain level headed

Sporting lays United golden eggs at this point, absolutely insane what Sporting have done for us

You’d hope that if things go tits up, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, will be seen as the players’ fault and not Ruben’s. We all know our online fanbase especially hasn’t got the intellect for that though.

 he hasn't started yet but yeah I get it. Hopefully you will finally will have found your coach.

I’m not sure what we do there though, every single manager has been given a smörgåsbord of his favourite players. At what point do those who have the “intelligence” say the manager is at fault?
Was it never LvG’s fault, nor Mou’s, nor Ole’s, nor ETH’s?

They owed us one big time after Rojo.
Wth with Ronaldo and even Nani and now when Amorim rehabilitates Bruno you could afford to buy us 10 Rojos.

Stay off Quenda BTW. At least for a year.
