Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

Do you honestly and truly think what you're seeing right now has anything to do with tactics?
There’s usually a variety of factors at play in producing a performance like that, and I’d say tactics are certainly one of them.

So as a supporter who should we point fingers at ? The leadership for hiring a coach whose basic philosophy is different to the entirety of the squad.. or should we blame Amorim for being stubborn and sticking to his principles ? The players are obviously get the lions share of the blame. But I personally think the leadership screwed up big time by extending ETH and then hiring Amorim mid-season. 2 coaches with conflicting philosophies.

Amorim's stock will be high no matter what happens here and I think he will be a success here if given a chance. This league season is gone. It doesn't matter if we finish 10 or 17th when it comes to signing players. We are not going to be able to attract top level talent anyway. This might help up us clean up shop and get some players that suit the coach.
Amorim is absolutely doing the right thing, he should be stubborn.

Being outplayed by the rock bottom team in the league and with just two wins since this bloke took charge, and some posters want to call those of us who call this a crisis hysterical. This is a new nadir for the club.

Actually incredible that he can line us up so defensively/sitting so deep in a 5-4-1 and yet see us being dominated like this with so many holes all across the pitch.

Against arguably the worst PL team in history that is. At home. With arguably our best XI available.

Doesn't bode very well, does it?

Got to be his fault. These players have been brilliant for past managers. He's got them in the wrong formation!

Worrying this is Southampton are set up the same way as us and are comfortably the best team in every department tonight. Amorin has to be held accountable here because they are the worse team in PL history and showing us how to play this system. Worrying, no?

The night Antony’s United career well and truly ended.

And the night United hit new depths.

This is god awful.

Can’t believe I raced home from work to watch this crap.

He's going to get us into a legitimate relegation battle.

The hard truth is that we would've been better off with Ten Hag for the rest of the season.

Should have either sacked Ten Hag in the summer or let him see it out till the following one. Got us in a mess both on the pitch and off it with PSR.

That was bad from Zirkzee, don't think Garnacho or Antony made good runs though

Relegation would be disastrous for this club.

I made a thread on here years ago raising the dreadful prospect of us becoming the next Leeds. I was absolutely hammered drunk when I made it and instantly regretted it, was after a really dire display. Dread to think it'd become a reality.

Fortunately Leicester and Ipswich both lost. We will stay up but will probably have a points total similar to relegated teams in some years.

I want to know the plan, like what are we seeing that points to how we will progress? It's easier to feel we've got an identity because 5 at the back is pretty distinctive to look at but what's the plan for creating chances? They are sitting off now so we should get more of the ball, need to see way more from the midfield and WBs.

Constantly having wingers play against our CB's, not sure if that's a great prospect for the coming years.

Antony and Zirkzee have brought some attacking intent though.

Sack this Mourinho from LIDL and bring back the OG Choose One.

David Moyes part II, Electric Boogaloo.

Where is his next win coming from? Getting close to dead man walking territory.

If we loose this, this is up there with the 7-0 loss away to Liverpool.

Yes I'll get shite for this.

I find it difficult to rate any manager that loses and loses comfortably against a team like Southampton.

In all seriousness - trying not to be too knee-jerk. But if he wasn't so charismatic with a magnificent record from Sporting, wouldn't most of want to get rid already?

Well yeah. If he was a boring cnut with a crap record at Sporting I'd have no confidence in him
