Soft, but once you get that yellow you can’t do what he then did for the next yellowfirst yellow?

Bruno almost was forehead to forehead with him after the first. You could see the ref get pissed off in real time. He was begging for a chance to send him off.The red card was such a kick in the balls. He only made two fouls all game too. The ref seemed desperate to make a name for himself. I was frustrated with Bruno myself at the time though (and I’m a Bruno fan!). It seemed like such a poor decision by him and it exposed his main flaw, his inability to keep a cool head when the pressure is on. I’ve calmed down about it since.
All United fans for the last decade: we need to take our medicine, accept the 'Woodward' path has created an awful squad and let a competent, clearly-focussed manager build something new. And be willing to accept the form that comes with that.
All United fans when the form comes with that: I dunno, this is United, you can't be losing this many matches, he might not survive.
TBH I don't even care if it's Amorim's system that works, it's more important that we show we're willing to support the club through a massive change because we NEED a massive change.
It's not fun, but supporting the team is about more than that. I like everything I've seen from Amorim to date, so for me he absolutely gets a year to try this out. Including two windows. And I'm happy he's not just trying to go back to hoofball to sneak a result. This will also work out the players that are willing to graft and suffer.

The nerve to spout absolute fairy tale bollocks in your first paragraph only to follow it with a call for more nuanced arguments in your second. The squad can and should have beat wolves and we would have if that moron Bruno was on their team instead of ours.I think the main reason fans thought it was a write off is because the current narrative has to be that the squad can't possibly beat wolves, to protect the new manager. They say we are mid table until we can sign a whole new team.
If we were just a bit more honest we could come up with slightly more nuanced arguments to allow the manager a grace period, but that is not how football fans work.
"All United fans" is an absurd generalizationAll United fans for the last decade: we need to take our medicine, accept the 'Woodward' path has created an awful squad and let a competent, clearly-focussed manager build something new. And be willing to accept the form that comes with that.

Yes. Sedatives. We've been taking our medicine for over a decade now.
Because he inherited an absolute shit show, assembled by Ten Hag, in his image, whatever the feck that was, it's just a group thrown together with players he previously worked with, incidentally he played a completely different style with those players previously but decided the best way to play transition football is to sign a group of players who aren't suited to that.We just lost 3 nil to bournemouth, 4-3 to Spurs. We lost to Ipswich and we lost to Arsenal. There have been some improvements, but we still arnt getting results or any sort of consistency. Im not saying Amorim is a bad manager, but at this stage hes doing no better than Ten Hag.
Exactly. And to be honest I would be doing the same as the ref did. Can't be getting in someone's face and not think that he would be gagging for the chance to give him a second yellow.Bruno almost was forehead to forehead with him after the first. You could see the ref get pissed off in real time. He was begging for a chance to send him off.
This thread is depressing. One of the worst I've seen on the Caf forum. A mish-mash of pub bore, impatience, idiocy, doom scrolling and ridiculous expectation.
Do we have the players to successfully complete in the premier League?
Do we have the players with the skills to execute the coach's plan?
These are the key things for now. Too many players who are always on the sick bed. Players with poor attitude.
Rangnick was right about his open heart surgery. Ten Hag replaced a lot of players with no improvement at a cost of over £600m
We need to accept where we are and let Amorim get on with it. He needs to be allowed to do so, supported by the fans and even more importantly, by the footballing "board" of the club.
This medicine you're talking about seems like a shite placebo. Christ we've had so many false dawns now that I've lost track. All United fans for the last decade: we need to take our medicine, accept the 'Woodward' path has created an awful squad and let a competent, clearly-focussed manager build something new. Yes it's depressing. And the truth is there is no guarantee Amorim will be a success. It could get worse. But in the long run it's best for the club to reset imoThis medicine you're talking about seems like a shite placebo. Christ we've had so many false dawns now that I've lost track.
I'm hoping we back Amorim properly and let him rip the cancer out of the team. Ragnick was right, this club needs open heart surgery, but I'm not sure the current management are capable of it.
This is depressing lads
No not really. We never accepted bad results as part of a journey. We never accepted us not being a top club anymore, not having to pick from the worlds best for a while but do sensible transfers to stabilize. It is just like the whole rebuild topic - we haven't finished any real rebuild yet, we started a few times only for it to deteriorate shortly after. The lack of continuety played a huge role with all of this. So all this "a club like United", those "we are one or two players away from..." or those "next year Top4 will be mandatory" thats exactly not what taking our medicine is. The club fell for the same bs many fans fell and the crisis got worse and worse for it.We've been taking our medicine for over a decade now.

We hired a top level manager. Why can’t he be expected to raise the level of our current squad while keeping an eye on a new path? It's time to create something, time to set the team on a new path. Even if it means a bunch of bad results.
If we manage to win our next 3 matches (Newcastle, Liverpool, Arsenal) the entire narrative about the team will change.Funny how we beat city then lose the next 3.
Yea this place will knee jerk back the other wayIf we manage to win our next 3 matches (Newcastle, Liverpool, Arsenal) the entire narrative about the team will change.
I mean, if that's not title winning form, then I don't know what is.Yea this place will knee jerk back the other way
Margot Robbie facetiming me out of the blue is higher probability than us winning our next three. If we manage to win our next 3 matches (Newcastle, Liverpool, Arsenal) the entire narrative about the team will change.
I doubt it. I bet they only do like 3 hours a day trainingHe should have had time to work on the formation/tactics with the team, considering we played on Thursday, so i'm hoping to see some positives tomorrow:
Fri: Day off
Sat: Training on formation
Sun: Tactics for Newcastle
Mon: Game day
Because that is your nature? We've just lost 3 games in a row, including a drubbing at home and we have 3 games coming up which we have a high possibility of losing all of them. Why would this thread be anything other than depressing?
Nature v nurtureBecause that is your nature?
This place isn't known for being a very nurturing environmentNature v nurture
Beg to differ. He could clearly be a whole lot worse.I'd give Antony a chance at LWB, totally left footed n couldn't be any worse than Dalot
What a guy
would you accept relegation for these principles ?So little patience amongst the keyboard warriors. Change the formation? Change the manager? How about feck no.
What a silly question. That would never happen. We’ll always pick up enough points.would you accept relegation for these principles ?

I won't need to. Not a hope in hell that we are getting relegated - as much as some people on here are willing it to happen.would you accept relegation for these principles ?
Yep, relegation discussions are always so mind boggling.I won't need to. Not a hope in hell that we are getting relegated - as much as some people on here are willing it to happen.
