If we weren't going to support this Head Coach with proper recruitment in the mercato, we should not have appointed him in the first place. IMO.It's also very very unlikely that we can have yet another rebuild. The money isnt there and Amorim was hired to change the team and tactics. He's got to adapt to the demands of the league and try and get a tune out of these players whether he likes it or not. He might get one or two in but ultimately he's got to change the style and fitness as well as keep the team competitive.
Clubs with much smaller revenue streams, like Liverpool and Arsenal (borderline Top 10 in terms of annual revenues when the “project” began) managed to overhaul these caliber of Starting XIs for Klopp and Arteta...

Amorim can't be expected to succeed if he isn't similarly backed and adequately supported by the technical team and the ownership.
Even a club like Bayer Leverkusen signed Grimaldo, Boniface, Xhaka, Hofmann, Tella (and brought in Stanisic on loan from Bayern Munich) during Alonso's first summer window.
