Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

Ruud took the bounce with him

You mean

Game 1: Cup game against Leicester second team.
Game 2: Chelsea 1-1
Game 3: PAOK people were getting confused and thought they were Panathanaikos, so basically a team no one had even heard of.
Game 4: Leicester team fighting relegation.

Basically terrible teams and a draw.

Yes. Under ETH we struggled against anyone

Dodgy set-piece defending aside, I think we played well that half

Zzz

The 3 CBs passing and the GK passing it between themselves and no progression at all. Why don't Martinez or Yoro carry it forward more aggressively?

No real rotations to speak of either. Pretty static on build up and it's getting nullified.

He is going to have white hair by the end of this season. We are way too slow for his liking. Need to be more fluid with the passing and build up.

Part 1 is controlling the football. Part 2 is being able to play with it much quicker. We’ve not been a side who routinely have more possession than the opponent for a long time. Part 1 will take some time

He's been here for less than a month and this is the best trained we've looked since Sir Alex retired. In terms of structure on and off the ball, passing patterns, team knowing when to press and when to defend and not having huge holes all over the place. Amorim looking just like an excellent coach.

We were very well coached under LvG. It's just that the football was absolutely dire.

Louis van Gaal was great. Shame that people wanted attacking kamikaze football and that they saw his tactical game as boring.

Sad to say we've gone back to trying to be simply a technical team in a league that requires both technical and physical ability. At the moment we look a soft touch, we don't seem to put ourselves about the opposition, it's still too hands off, defending set pieces, we look extremely vulnerable.

I know he's new to the league, but it's not like he doesn't know what the PL is about. You can't line up with a team of players who don't wanna get stuck in against opposition who do. Whether that's down to his coaching philosophy or maybe lack of attention to the physical demands of the league, but either way, we need to wake up.

He's not had a great start, has he? must be pulling his hair out already trying to deal with more than half of these players.

You could put Fergie, Ancelotti, Guardiola and prime Mourinho in the dugout and you still couldn't get a tune out of this squad.

They are shit. They are shit footballers. That is all there is to it. The most sorry bunch of footballers we've ever had.

Ten Hag has absolutely ruined our squad. Write the season off and replace as many as we can in the summer

I mean there's no manager can do anything with this lot.

Away from having any sort of football skill they're all completely thick as pig shit. Never seen such a bunch of brain dead footballers in one team before.

Cut the loses. You cant play like this at home against Forest. . We waited ETH to click he never clicked.

Embarasing game.

Until we overhaul the squad, it’s a repetitive cycle of going nowhere.

The club needs to be serious on getting rid of players who are just not good enough. That’ll be hard considering the contracts they’re on.

Brainless defending with so many mistakes but we haven't created a proper chance after the goal. Terrible all around, and City is the next game, Ruben is facing 3 L in a row...

You know as well as I do that we've been saying this now for the best part of a decade. Whilst Ten Hag bought in a few players he's worked with previously, there are still a few out there who've been part of this side since before ETH arrived.

It's also very very unlikely that we can have yet another rebuild. The money isnt there and Amorim was hired to change the team and tactics. He's got to adapt to the demands of the league and try and get a tune out of these players whether he likes it or not. He might get one or two in but ultimately he's got to change the style and fitness as well as keep the team competitive.

You people are unbelievable. Give the man half a chance.

Also, it's clearly been errors today, not solely tactical. And even if it was tactical, it takes time to set up a new system...in the middle of the season.

Tbf, he just didn't have the right players. He wanted VVD and Mane. Both would have made a huge difference.

Starting To actually have some concern we may actually flirt with a relegation fight this season.

Hate to say it but we probably would be better off having given ruud the caretaker role until the end of the season and lived off the good vibes.

It's weird how our players seem responsive when ex players are managing us from carrick to ole to ruud, or maybe it's these ex players that truly understand the beast that man united?

I agree, people moaning about how we play or tactics at the moment are jumping the gun. He’s feeling his way around the squad still and it’s obviously going to take more than a few matches. Plus we’ve got an awful run of matches coming

You can see the bipolar reactions from the players once more.

Same as with the fans I suppose

Let down by players today, this season is a throwaway. System doesnt seem to suit our players at all.

Got it wrong today by not starting Mazraoui, and keeping some players on for too long.

As interim, they are fine. Personally, i would have given Ruud until the end of the season and signed Amorim for the summer. To give him time to implement the system. Now the pressure is on from the start.
