Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

City away next so probably 3 losses in a row and 1 win from 5 opening league games

Why doesn’t he just be bold and play some kids? Persisting with the same trash who have got 3/4 previous managers sacked is just going to send him the same way.

Being hysterical
Out of his depth. Its just as bad as under ETH. No patterns of play, slow build up,totally overrun in CM,rubbish at defending set-pieces etc. Only difference is the formation.

Should've sacked ETH in the summer, if you've watched what Neville said on club ownership and sacking managers, it's word for word happening to us right now,

I think we won the tactical match today quite comfortably and created more than enough chances to win. Sadly we lost because we didn't try to prevent the ball from going into our own net a couple of times, but that's hardly on the manager.

Easier said than done. You send kids out and we could get slaughtered 4/5 - 0 and then he gets a lot of hate. He’s doing some right things. He’s dropped rashford like everyone’s been asking for.

Can't give away pathetic goals like we did and expect to win football matches. Shocking from the keeper.

I do see positives in that he has quickly implemented a clear style and purpose to what we are doing. It's going to take time because we clearly have a lot of players that just aren't going to cut it.

Dalot on the left hand side is not the answer. He needs to see this quickly, and find some solution.

We lost because Onana is awful and Bruno can’t keep hold of the ball.

He is doing the same shit like those before him and he will end up just like them (if he doesnt break the cycle), not feeling sorry for him one bit, same shit different package.

He’s making positive changes but has a crap team. The next couple of transfer windows will be huge for United, I don’t think any single player is too good to go.

I do feel sorry for him - imagine looking at your bench for inspiration when 3-1 down and all you can find is fecking Rashford.

Genuinely think he set us up quite well but you can’t account for the ridiculous goals we conceded. Comical stuff.

I think United made a mistake going for Amorim. Not because he is a bad manager, but his 343 is too far from what we have in the squad of players to fill the roles.

They should have got a standard 4231 manager. The players would have slotted in. We could improve the team in January and Summer and kept some sort of continuity of philosphy and tactics.

As of now, we need to solve wing backs, striker, CB and attacking mid. If we had stuck with 4231 wed only need wingers and striker.

If Amorim gets sacked, wed have probably sold aload of wingers and brought specialist wing backs, only to be left with a new manager that wants wingers and full backs again.

Seems daft to me to bring in such a big change of tactics right now when we rebuilding.

I don't think he has a clue what he has got himself into.

The tactics aren't working either. Far too slow in the buildup. In danger of giving away the ball and letting teams onto our goal far too easily.

The man will age 10 years in the next 1 year.

What, like the moral winners? Maybe we should start keeping an alternative league table RAWK style.

Big job on his hands, feel sorry for him to be honest.
Yep. Can only hope for him that he manages to pull a few wins out the bag here and there to keep us from the bottom five thus keeping him in the job. But yeah can’t help but thinking he should have stayed in Lisbon and waited out the season. There’ll be better jobs available in the summer in this league I reckon.

We are lucky we are a giant of the game, if ordinary clubs were this crap they wouldn’t get someone like Amorim. We need to have faith in him now, he’s as good as it gets. SJR has said on UWS (I think) that we are paying the price for a decade of bad transfer decisions, some of them we are still paying for, it’s going to take a while to fix. I am struggling to support some of the players we have but will give the manager time, he didn’t break my club, the fecking Glazers did!

A weak back line had us done again.
Backline is the our strongest area "on paper".

It doesn't look positive at the moment. There is some change in the way we play but so far it's just sterile possession against teams that know how to defend (and they don't even need to be very good at it). I still worry how this system works without a natural ball carrier in the back 3. Neither of Martinez/De Ligt also look comforteable there.

Fear for him already. He needs time but if performances start tanking and we drop further down the table it could get ugly.

First half was good. How is he supposed to compensate for our keeper diving out of the way of a shot and then two players just watching a ball bounce in?

They’re clearly mentally fragile when shit like that happens and some of the players are just incredibly dumb. He can’t fix that in a month.
