He could score 1000 for Inter this season, and it still doesn't mean it wasn't the right thing for us to do to ship him.
He scored 27 goals in his first season. Only Ibra with 28 has scored more in a season for us since Fergie. Not saying his overall play was amazing but that's a decent return, especially during a time when we were playing some of our worst football ever.
Strange how he had no problem scoring against us against the likes of Rio and Vidic etc Guess we were just not a big team

He’s a class act off the pitch and always has been. I don’t rate him very highly but it’s working well for him with Conte so fair play to him. Was a good move for all parties.
He scored a hat trick in Ferguson last game at the club, it was basically exhibition match and Uniteds back 4 that day was Valencia, Jones, Evans, Buttner and Lindegaard was in goal. Rio came off the bench due to a injury Evans and Vidic, Evra was unused subs.
Since that game he played against United 8 times for West Brom and Everton scoring zero goals.
No guarantee of that. He had his own bad days when it came to finishing. He scored in five different games against City ,four games against liverpool .
Every striker will find it harder to score against the better teams because chances will be harder and they wont get as many opportunities, Ruud got the same stuff said sbout him too when he played for us
Lukaku can clearly score given the right opportunity and had he been on the end of the chances we created against Sevilla he would have taken enough to get us into the final

Don't think we'd finish third with him in this team.
Class act when he was posting up speed stats. Unprofessional on and off the pitch.
It is a move that’s worked for everyone.
That has to be the most non-issue thing in the history of football controversies. A test that didn't mean anything, revealing nothing that everyone in the world didn't know already.
Your right that it meant nothing, apart from the fact he ended up throwing his teammates under the bus to try and prove a point. A point he tried to prove, because he can’t take any criticism.
Such a selfish, self absorbed player. Has an attitude you wouldn’t even take from a top player, and he can’t even back it up.
Lukaku scores the 4th and 5th goal in a rout. That’s him down to a tee. That’s exactly the type of player he is.
Can’t be trusted to score important goals.
Can’t be trusted to stay fit and not get fat.
Will throw a tantrum the minute things don’t go his way.
Very poor mentality.
Shaw, for one. Tried to make out hes unfit and slow whilst he himself is some fit guy.Who did he throw under the bus?
Wasn’t it shaw, by highlighting how slow he was in a particular metric, which as an aside made him look good.
He didn’t share any of the metrics that showed how heavy and unfit he was.
To claim that he’s a total professional is absurd. Other players have done it obviously, and it’s not unusual, it it’s not what you should expect from a decent player, and I suppose that’s one of the reasons he’s not.

I'm not even going to bother researching what you think he scored elsewhere after claiming he had no problem scoring against United against the likes of Rio and Vidic. He scored in five different games against City ,four games against liverpool .

You mean like he did 2 years ago? And then came out in the interview that some players didn't show up when he was wasting all those chances? He scored in five different games against City ,four games against liverpool .

That 17 year old still scored more goals this season than Lukaku managed for United in 45 appearances last season. The problem wasn't Lukaku leaving, the problem was that we didn't replace him in the Summer. We went into the season with a 17 year old as our 3rd choice striker ffs.

Biggest problem in 1st half of the season was Lingard, Pereira starting plenty of games and creating next to nothing. There were plenty of games in the 1st half of the season where we clearly lacked another goal threat when Martial/Rashford were injured. We needed another striker in the Summer. I remember we were linked to Ben Yedder for a few weeks, that was a missed opportunity. He'd have been an excellent stop gap imo.
I dunno, even if he had only scored 500 goals for us this season we could have done with that.He could score 1000 for Inter this season, and it still doesn't mean it wasn't the right thing for us to do to ship him.
34. Equals Ronaldo for most goals in debut season for Inter32 goals this season and counting ...

It's good to see he's not as bitter as the majority of posters in this thread.
Also worth pointing out that the comments were made immediately after Inter had made the final. It's easy to be magnanimous in victory. Can't imagine the same comments had he knew we were meeting in the final. This is literally the first time he's said anything like this. He's been talking shit since before he left.
Good to see he seems to have buried the hatchet.
What a finishHis First touch... Again
