Someone in the Pogba's thread seems to recall it but we both may be wrong. Also sorry for editing the post, thought I'd be on time before somebody quotes me;).

Brilliant today. Really stepped up when we needed him and showed that he deserves to stay.

I actually thought he was quite a bit better in the last match against Crystal Palace. Today wasn't as good, but he ultimately still scored the two to get us the win.

The winner today is pretty much something Lukaku of Everton used to do a lot, to try his luck at shots on the edge of the box. He barely did this for us.

Compare his celebrations to last January also when he looked practically depressed.

confidence seems to be flowing into him right now. Can’t afford to drop him right now.

Fantastic performance. Yes, he had at least 4 chances, but even the greatest strikers don't convert 100%. Today, we needed goals as badly as ever and he delivered, both times with sublime finishes from difficult positions - and both times with his weaker foot I would mention. Those chances he missed were easier than those he scored.

Under Mourinho he was the main man but the challenge of Rashford and Martial under Ole looks to have had a galvanizing effect

I love the way he celebrates (first goal).
Awesome !

His overall game is lacking big time. The ball gets taken off him way too easy when he has his back to goal. Happened numerous times today. As I said before, though, he's a goalscorer and he will always score goals.

Thought his goals today, just like the ones against Palace, were fantastic, especially the second. Dont often see him score from outside the box. On his weaker foot too.

Really stepped up when we needed him today just like he has in the last couple of months. Fair play to him.

Surely the most frustrating player in the world of football? Goes about matches looking lost at this level, controls easy passes, fecks up easy passes, loses the ball and stops our attacks.

And on the other hand is capable of scoring world class goals and putting in inch perfect crosses. I give up

Brilliant today and really stepped up at a vital time for us this week with all the injuries. Wonder once Martials back if we'll have all 3 together how theyll do, so much pace and power there.
The problem is what happens to Lingard then. I think he's important to our attack.

We’ve been scoring plenty without him.

His importance isn’t high, but He’s good for the tighter games.

Two very good games in a row where he helped the team greatly. I'm very pleased for him since he seems like a decent guy. To be frank I was starting to lose faith in him, glad he got himself together and this last 2 games will give him confidence he lacked.

I thought he had a very good game. 2 wonderful goals. Would have had at least one more if the keeper hadn't been in the form of his life..

I never understood the hate for this guy. He’s not a world class striker yet but he’s a proven PL scorer who was doing 1 in 2 at a very young age for crap teams. He might never become world class but he’s surely good enough to be a in the squad of a title challenging team.

Lingard isnt going to be an automatic starter everyone but he'll always be in and around there. You need a squad of players. Adding Sancho this summer would give us a very strong set of 5 options between them with Sanchez injured, and then the youth. Look at City's attack. Real Madrid having Bale as a squad player all these years. You need competition for places and we'll have that.

I’ve criticised him a fair bit and I’m happy to hold my hands up to that, he came in clutch when we really needed him to. Very well done, I’m so happy, back to back braces must do wonders for his confidence.

Just seen the goals. Two cracking finishes- peak Rom is what we need in the run in. Delighted for him.

Overall thought he was very good today. Touch was there, linking play, taking people on, good passing and two superb finishes. Best bit might actually have been when Bertrand launched himself at him and Lukaku kept on moving like a fly had just hit him.

Seriously what kind of tackle was that from Bertrand, ridiculous

It's difficult not to feel that way about Lukaku. Rather than attempting to describe him myself, I think it's best left to Rino Gattuso...

He looks back to fitness and much leaner. Long may it continue. These are the games where he was always supposed to be racking up the goals

Playing games will only help him develop his fitness. If he can keep that high press up then he can hit 20-30 goals easily. A lot of stick from fans in the first half but he showed his character. We shouldnt sell him and he showed why. He had a poor first half but he still passed the ball, held the ball up and got into good positions. He made up for it in the second half. A player like Rashford needs him. If we had lost today with Rashford up top providing what he did then he wouldve been under pressure. Theres plenty of games during a season but Lukaku should definitely be our starting striker, providing he keeps fitness up. His fitness effects not only his running but his dribbling and positioning.

I loved it when Bertrand tried to take him out with a flying kick but then just bounced off Lukaku as if he was nothing

His best game for us in some time. Thought he improved in every department. Anyone still want him sold?

Can't knock him, stepped up when we've really needed him with some quality finishes. Well done Rom!

If he plays like that again we have a glimmer of a chance against psg

Fair play to him, was knocking his all round play but his finishing for his last 3 goals have been top class

He's probably played his way in to the starting eleven now. Wonder how our lineup will look with Martial back.
I reckon it'll be Ole's favourite XI but with Lukaku in for Lingard.
