I assume your laughing because you don’t know what the phrase flat track bully means. Google it.

No, I don't think you can love a 75m pound player and say that he's not good enough to play better against top sides. He should be playing better regardless of the opposition.

Also, I've never seen the phrase being used as a compliment. Google it

He looked shagged out after just coming on. No place in that dynamic hybrid front 3 at the moment.

It is a massive worry.
You have Rashford and Lingard running themselves to oblivion all game, and this guy comes on and can't do it for 10mins.

I'd love to know what the top centre backs have to say about playing against the big name strikers. I can't believe they find him that hard to play against.

To apply some balance though, it was a tough gig for a striker to come into. Very much on the back foot against a rising Tottenham momentum.
However, in that context, very little was expected outside of working hard.

It’s not a compliment, I misunderstood your post.

I think he’s terrible.

I'm a big fan but based on the first half performance, he can't play in that system. I'll won't judge him second half cause was completely isolated as previously under Jose....

At what point do we admit we've got a real problem on our hands? As soon as he comes on our attacking outlet pretty much ceases, today we just got pushed further and further into our own half. Unless he's in acres of space there is almost never a second ball coming from him.

That sub appearance really exposed him at the top level.

Not a big problem as I think Everton will be willing to throw 50m at him if we offered him to then. We should get rid in summer as can't see him agreeing on this sub role for long.

He is really, really bad it turns out. I don't know what it is that makes it so but my god. His only strength seems to be with ball already in his feet from the right side. Really confused by him. I've never rated him and still hoped he would turn and yet...

I think some of it is mental, I can't imagine he is happy playing second fiddle to Rashford and the realisation that he needs to improve at this level would have hit him.

When he came on for me running the channels etc is the minimum I expected to see from him, and it wasn't there. I don't know if thats because he wasn't up for it or because he not used to it, but to me I don't think it can be hard for him to learn. He needs to move and make runs off the ball and give us outlets when we win the ball back otherwise we need to sell him in the summer.

Maybe Ole can get him working on it, but who knows if he wants to learn and adjust his game

Running the channels when Young and Shaw were booting aimless clearances should have been the bare fecking minimum he done but he couldn't even be arsed to do that.

And don't tell me that wasn't an instruction. Every fecking team needs an outball in those scenarios and balls down the channel are the go-to option for them.

No surprises. We're in an era where even goalkeepers and defenders are judged on their ball playing ability. An attacker with poor ball playing ability is not ideal, double when he's a central striker

No coincidence that the attack is giving the league fits once Lukaku, Mata and Fellaini are out of the team. There's really no place for any of them in a quick attacking outfit.

He played like his heart isn’t here anymore.

Got onto the pitch at 70m, team busting their guts out, strolled around and nonchalant with his touches, just flicked the ball immediately into Spurs player.
He may end up leaving in the summer, especially if Solskjaer remains as our manager. Rashford's now establishing himself as first choice, I'd say it's indisputable at this point. I can't see any of our management staff wanting anything to impede Rashford's development, especially in the kind of form he's in. I think we'll cut our losses. I still think he's a good player, we're just not a good match, when we want to play this attractive football we rely on a dynamic front three and he sadly just doesn't offer the same dynamism that Rashford does.

Keep him as a sub, he’s a good option. If he doesn’t want to be a sub he can leave. For me, we have to make Rashford the main man and trust in him.

Was yelling at my television watching him casually jog in in his 20 minute cameo appearance.

He's been terrible coming on as a sub as well though. Ok he got a goal the previous game but couldn't have done less work with the ball for it.

Seeing Rashford legging it back when the ball was lost (by Lukaku), then seeing Lukaku slowly jog pissed me off. He might be thinking that's where a striker needs to stay around, but we desperately needed people to block channels.

Did not do a lot today. Tough game to come onto, but seemed to be very static again.

Not a performance to get back in the starting lineup

A centre back's dream, he's just pure shite and a fraud like his best buddy Mourinho.

A striker like Tevez, Suarez or Costa at 26 would run around like a Terrier, getting into the defenders faces, engage in a bit of shithousery to break Spurs’s rhythm. For all of Lukaku’s talk about effort and character, I’ve never seen him express that sort of hustle when we are under the cosh.

Some made the comparison to Chicharito, saying he’s the better version, but the Chicharito that played for us under SAF would run all day, even if he is offside 9/10 of the time.

Not the best game to come into. By the time he was on our forwards were mostly isolated and we had gone into full self-preservation mode. That said he offered nothing, dont see him taking the striker position back any time soon.

This is the only role for Sanchez in the team at the moment. Come on in second half, hold up the ball and run into the channels.

Even Fellani would be a better option than Lukuka . I'm serious.

Thought when he eventually did get into the game he held it up well and found his team mates.

Dont think he was as bad as being made out but he didnt do much either.
Thought it was a pretty decent performance.

Lukaku's pressing is absolutely horrible, him and Martial do not fit what we are trying to do under Ole. Not enough attacking movement or defensive covering from those two.

If he wants to amble around like that then he needs to be scoring in most games which he obviously doesnt.

Martial has seen less static of late. Not that it would be hard to improve on this. But would not dropp him for any of our other players on the left.

Lukaku would fit well into the football Burnley are playing..

Considering his record in the PL/top flight football, we could get a very decent fee for him and he's probably one of the highest paid players in the team, just eating up wages keeping him on the bench.

£200k per week.
Sanchez is on £350k per week. So Lukaku is not the worst as he has some resale value.

Indeed, if we moved Lukaku on we could probably get a reasonably decent replacement for 1/4 of his wage packet. We probably won't have many suitors for Sanchez although I've not totally given up on him yet.

Nobody was expecting him to come on and score or create chances or anything like that because by the time he came on we were parking the bus.

The issue is how fecking lazy he was. Press, run into the channels, fight to hold up the ball. The bare minimum.

He was useless.

I would sell him. No question about it. Would sell for as little as £40m.

Yeah he was the reason why United dropped of in the second half

No one is saying that, but when you get on the pitch with 20 mins left and all your teammates have been working their socks off...and then stroll around and not even bother to press a little bit. Being poor is one thing, but being poor AND fecking lazy is unacceptable in a match like this

bad sub today. but we won. hopefully ole realises that and im sure he will. all part of the learning process
