I can see the logic of the substitution, but Lukaku is terrible at the things that he was asked to come on to do today.
I thought the same, quite infuriating to see him walk about as if he’d put a 90min shift in when all he had to do was sprint around and close people down for ten mins.
Held the ball up once or twice and made a few passes so still an improvement I guess.

Sorry but no, seems you cant play football with him, what was that when he got on the pitch i dont know. Ball bounces of him or he does something totally random with his first touch and then he start waving with his arms like he meant to do that and there was idea behind it just others didnt follow it. Rashford did little through the middle in the second half as well. Both got overrun.
Their midfield ran past ours and isolated the striker. I can see why Ole brought him on because he's our best chance at holding up the play and allowing the midfield to come forward but that doesn't say much with the players we have.

I'm sorry, but I really can't stand him. In injury time, when a counter broke down, Rashford was busting a gut to close down and make it difficult for Spurs to mount another attack. Lukaku did nothing. He's just so lazy.

Not going to slag him off too hard as he does technique, but he seriously needs to cut down mass over the summer and focus on cardio. He was barely running in the time he came on, which is unacceptable. Didn't particularly help that every ball bounced off him either.

When Sanchez is back I wonder if he'll even do that. If we want to send a big lump on to head the ball down I'd rather it was Fellaini.

Yes was poor. Not what we needed when under pressure. Fellaini would have been a far better option. Lukuku doesn’t even bother to press or make space, which is unforgivable when we are under pressure.
