Renato Sanches | Loaned to Swansea

Im out of touch on this one. Do they want rid of him or do they want to loan him out? Also does he want to leave or does he want a loan for more game time?

Im not really a fan of his but mostly find the claims some are making about his ability to be a bit daft.
However players develop at different rates and because of different factors. He might have had a tough time in Germany because he struggled settling in another culture, he may have missed family and friends, struggled with the language etc. He may have been slow in getting used to new training systems methods and ideas, he is after still only 19. So he may want to leave because he is struggling with those sorts of things or he may be frustrated at the lack of game time.
Dont worry I m a little out of touch with this one too. The statements made by Rummenigge, Ancelotti & Co. have been contradictory and spongy.

Its safe to say that Sanches is def struggling to integrate..be it the German culture, weather and his not existing language skills and some other factors combined with his young age and most importantly his big struggle ON the field. The description headless chicken describes it perfectly. You could see flashes of his talent, but this was overshadowed by countless of misplaced passes and immature play style.

Rummenigge has always left a door open in his comments about selling or loaning, so I guess it depends on the money offered. For me it looks they wanna appear strong in public, but less behind the curtain about their intentions to keep him.

Bayerns latest comments suggest they only want to loan with no option to buy.

They still rate the player.
Let's be honest, who's going to take a punt on a £43m gamble like that. Bayern are known to always try to save face in transfer windows. The same guys said that they got €20m or something ridiculous for Schweinstiger. The Sanches deal was a flop but they are hardly going to admit. They could just easily loan him out like they do with most players if they are really interested in keeping him

This. Seems quite obvious that they have had a look at him and want rid, get rid of him now and they can still get a high fee (in theory) due to people thinking 'he's 19, he didn't settle in Germany' etc. Another season of him flopping and his value declines massively.

There certainly isnt much of a point.

Big clubs have been interested in non great players before. We signed Bebe ffs. Chelsea signed Pato.

Your generalisation just shows there isnt much of a point.
Sure. Bebe was chased by other big clubs other than United and signed by others after he left us.:lol::lol::lol:

I suggest you don't conflate your own laughable generalisations for my arguments. For you are just confusing yourself

if you don't ask you don't get......maybe they did it in hope rather than expectation

Everton just had 45 million turned down for Gylfi Sigurdsson so it is that kind of window

Renato Sanches reminds me very much of a young Anderson when he first joined United. Unfortunately, he never fulfilled his massive promise due to fitness and injury issues.

I see what you mean in terms of the barrolling runs they both make/made but that's about where the comparison ends I'm afraid. Bayern seem to have put a stop to his agressive runs with the ball.

Those runs are what impressed most at the Euro's.

Conveniently ignoring the Pato example of which you were one of the lead for those who wanted him at United?

It's not really that hard to understand. Big clubs at times are interested in not so great players for whatever reasons. Such interest doesn't mean the player is a great one. That's where the Bebe example fit in. It doesn't take that much brain power to understand.

I'm ignoring the Pato example because its the worst of the garbage generalizations you came up with. I can't be held responsible for you failing to get why you are so offside. And since you are eager to site brain power I suggest using the little you have to figure it out.

Quite a few reports saying that he'll be signing for Chelsea on loan. Would make sense considering how small our squad is and we are about to sell Matic to you guys

If true, Kante, Bakayoko, Fabregas and Sanches would be great midfield options

Surely if he goes on loan it should be to a team where he'll definitely get 40 starts, not one where he'll be 4th choice for 2 spots?

I only watched him a couple of times. He looked about as good as Joey Barton. He is really young tho so he can still improve massively.

I've just watched this guy play against Liverpool and I must say it's very easy to see why he struggled for gametime last season. He is a box to box midfielder with good physical qualities and strong in the one on one battles but cannot pick a pass to save his life. His distribution is awful for someone who has probably the most touches of the ball and the whole freedom of the midfield. Bayern face a lot of parked buses and you need someone comfortable with the ball and has good passing range like Alonso has been doing for the past couple of years. Sanches seems lost with the ball at his feet and doesn't really know what he's supposed to be doing hence all the sideways, backward passing. I'm not basing this on just one pre season game but it confirms what I've seen from him so far. Maybe he would thrive in a different set up somewhere else and right now I can't see him getting consistent gametime at Bayern.

He needs to go to a club where he'll get game time and develop his game further. From what I've seen he's not good enough for top club right now.

As many Clubs currently have a system of loaning players out for a couple of years with options to buy, I'd think that would be a good way to go. If it doesn't work out, he goes back. Massive potential physically just seems to make the wrong decisions when has time on the ball. Hasn't seemed to get a run of games (although that's mainly as he hasn't performed) but sometimes that's a confidence issue as young players short of games try to do more than necessary to impress in limited game-time.

He was piss poor. Gave a lot of balls which led to counter attacks.

You could also hear the anxiety in the crowd whenever he had the ball. I rather give Perriera a chance than sign him. I don't think we need another physical midfielder. The next midfielder we should sign is a direct replacement for Carrick and that's somebody whose biggest asset is their passing.

Never watched him at Benfica but every time I see him under Bayern Munich or Portugal, his football intelligence is on pair with Phil John.

Loaning to lesser club is the only option. No top club would want to take the gamble.

He really needs to move either on loan or permanently.

Sickening. Reminds of all the e-cowards here who used to line up at having a go at Bebe a few years back.

Ultimately Sanches is just a 19 year old kid trying to make his way in football. He will be a great player where ever he goes next.

:nono::nono::nono:
He would be a "good" player for a team like Porto, Lyon, Benfica and Co. He is not world class and although he is a great athlete, he is not a great footballer.

It will really damage his confidence. He really needs to move to a club where a manager will give him back his confidence. This is really why young footballers should not have social media, just way too many idiots on there.

A precocious talent hurled into the lion's den far too early. He should have stayed at Benfica for another 2 seasons at least, keep developing his game and become more mature on and off the field. His first team career is startlingly brief at this stage. He's a young lad who has perhaps been subverted by powerful forces within the game (Jorge Mendes) for a quick profit, without any real consideration of what might be best for his footballing career. He simply was not ready to move to Germany, a country with a completely alien language and culture, to compete with world-class players in an environment where you have to be on top of your game, every time and all of the time.

He has the time to get his career back on track and hopefully he has the right people around him to facilitate this. I hope that Bayern do not hold on to him just for the purposes of stockpiling. A 19 year old with his ability needs more than 9 starts in an entire season.

So it looks like he's going to either Liverpool or Monaco on loan, I'd like to see him in the league but I have a feeling Klopp would get him back to his Benfica form.
