Renato Sanches | Loaned to Swansea

So it looks like he's going to either Liverpool or Monaco on loan, I'd like to see him in the league but I have a feeling Klopp would get him back to his Benfica form.

Do we want to see that? I know I don't.

Could be a good move for him. Get some game-time at a small club before making the step up in a couple of years.

He's exactly like Henderson, Can and Wijnaldum.

Another good option for their midfield. Good engine, likes to press and runs forward with the ball.

I still don't think Bayern signing him is a mistake. He just needs a consistent run of games to develop, and if he does Bayern will have a better player returning.

Paul Clement has pulled in a favour from Bayern there!

Fair play, looking forward to seeing what he can do!

From the little I've seen of them so far, Swansea are a poor side, so it's hard to know how he'll develop there. But you'd imagine he'll play plenty of games, so that's probably the reason he'll go there.

Sanches at Swansea, Krychowiak at West Brom. It isn't going to be easy playing the midtable teams this year

Sanche sneeds playing time above anything else. Presumably he´ll get that at Swansea. He goes to Liverpool, Monaco or Inter, it´s just a new bench to warm.

i imagine as the poster above mentioned, its paul clements relationship with ancelotti that would seal this.

Couldn't they have loaned him to a Bundesliga club instead of sending him all the way to England? Unless he speaks passable English, the league and country would be a double culture shock for him to adjust to even before thinking of his development in football.

That's what I was thinking. We'll probably see Marchisio at Southampton next.

Of course, yeah, that's obviously how it got done. I'm just speculating that, from the player's perspective, it's a loan that has some potential to fall flat.

Doesn't every loan? If he went to a big club he might not have played. Atleast at Swansea he will start.

Would be a very good signing for them. Could do well in a physical, faster league

Good for him. He has everything to be a starter everyweek and prove himself in one of the top leagues. Now it's time to show if he's got what it takes or not

Two of the best midfielders at the Euros, who subsequently signed for major European clubs, now ply their trade at Swansea and West Brom.

The clearest indication yet that the Premier League is a behemoth on the cusp of dwarfing the other leagues. PSG, Bayern, Barcelona and Real aside, there's nothing much in terms of appeal to tier 1 and 2 players in other leagues now. The Premier League is where they all want to play (£).

Strange move, surely he could have gone to one of the top teams in other league ?

Excellent signing for Swansea. Should make them a bit tougher. Glad we've got our visit to Wales out of the way already.

Very average player, looked great at youth level as he was physically bigger and stronger and quicker than the rest of his age group. One of the best players I've seen from u15s to u18s.

Honestly no, he isn't good enough at the moment. He needs a full season of football as a first choice player, none of the top 7 clubs could guarantee him that.

Not good enough to play at a top team in Italy like, say, Milan or Inter ?

Fair point. Not every loan brings with it the potential that, even if you do play most weeks, you might not train on over the course of your time there, though. I think Clement has an awful lot to prove as a manager and Swansea look likely to struggle, from what I've seen.

Interesting to see him in the league but I honestly think he's average and the hype will fade.

Living in Swansea will put him off ever moving to the Prem permanently, smart move by Bayern.

I don't know how good their midfielders are TBH, he could probably play plenty for them also, but England will be a good fit for his style. He will improve massively here, and also get paid good money.

Bayern just want him gone.
