Renato Sanches | Loaned to Swansea

I'd rather play Pereira. He's super motivated and can make our play faster. Get a DMC instead.

You could always put Herrera at DM if you really felt Sanches was a special talent. You get the feeling we're not after him though, and him coming in would block Pereira's gametime completely.
And Bayern seem to want more money than what they paid for him last summer, despite basically admitting he's surplus to requirements.

Can't imagine Pereira would suddenly get no game time if we got Sanches, I also don't think Pereira is a special talent, but should be a decent squad player hopefully. Our proper midfield options are pretty limited after Pogba & Herrera, so having a Renato Sanches around could be handy.

Among all dmc players linked with us, renato is the only one that i want. We need player who will be 12th man. Player who will accept bench if we go 4231 and olayer who can play holding midfielder. Also he is very young, dinamic, and cheaper than other targets.
Oh, just sign him ffs.

He will give us the energy Fellaini doesn't.. Shame he's also a headless chicken..

I can't believe this is even a debate, he would certainly add to the squad, especially in an area where we are weak and vulnerable to over working certain players.

Seems an easy one to get over the line, surprised we aren't heavily linked.

Sanches and Matic would strengthen our options and depth in midfield.

Memphis & Renato two young players of the tournaments in the last world cup and Euros both getting off loaded by the top clubs that signed them.

Not quite following how he wouldn't limit Pereira's gametime.

Even if we brought him in we'd need another CDM to replace Carrick. As he really isn't a tactical holding player, at all.
So we'd have:

Pogba
Herrera
Sanches
Fellaini
Carrick
Matic
Pereira

for 3 spots with Pereria 7th in the established pecking, and potentially only 2 spaces in midfield if we end up playing variants of 4231.

talk of a loan deal sounds interesting. see if he can hack it in the PL

And there's the problem with sites like that. Look at his position stats. 8 in CM, 2 DM, 18 subs. They don't break-down the 18 sub apps. He's not a defensive midfielder, he doesn't play like one, he doesn't have the attributes for one, he rarely has played there.

If you check Transfermarkt they'll show completely different positional numbers where he doesn't have a single performance in defensive midfield.

Concerning that Bayern are so willing to part ways with him. 19 years old, only second season at the club after changing leagues and yet they want to offload. United should probably stay away from this one.

I didn't actually think he was a DM. I just seem some posts in here which were comparing him to Matic.
I actually googled it when you replied.

Yeah I just went on a mini rant about who scored lol. Comparing him to Matic is weird, he's much more of a box to box player

Bayern have a monopoly on that league and if he cannot do it with Bayern, I don't think he will do it with us, in a much more competitive league.

If he didn't develop in dressing room that boasts the best set of midfielders in the world in Vidal, Thiago, Alonso, Lahm, Alaba, Martinez then I don't see how he is going to learn from the likes of Fellaini and in a club that is under more pressure to perform.

Probably the most underwhelming highlights I've seen lol

I would say what he is is really undertimed yet. He certainly has attributes that he could be a very good DM. He's strong, physical, fast so on but is pretty good at reading what is happening and being disciplined.

On the other side of that he could go forward create, score goals or he could play more like a Kante just destroying things. He can really be whatever he wants. I think what we'll see is him become more like Vidal I would think. Hate making player comparisons but I think that is sort of the way he would head if he kept developing at the rest wand ability he showed at Benfica.

This is the vid I posted about earlier in this thread....seriously nothing special....another Anderson. That's not to say he won't come good...if they want to offer him a loan...nothing to lose on our part.....but should be an option to buy.

"United might come in for him"

"We want rid urgently, and United are one of the biggest cash cows out there, and whether it's actually them, or the teams that target players just because United are interested, we want him out for big money"

 that's a woeful highlights at one point in his highlights it's someone getting to a header before him! has to be a piss take, makes perisic look like Messi.

I think they have been burnt but are trying to hide it and get as much money back as they can.

If you sign world class potential you give it time. You don't contemplate selling it a season after signing and you definitely don't loan to a team like Milan or United where playing time is limited.

If they rated him they'd have sent him to hoffenheim or similar at the start of the window.

Did you read what he ACTUALLY said and not just get mislead by the headline?

“At this time, he’s training with us. We have to make a decision. A move could be a possibility but there is also a chance he could stay with us for the season.

A bit wishy-washy of a comment to think there is much behind it.

Notice how much more direct he was in the Vidal comments.

We shouldnt be developing other clubs players for them, especially if its to our own players detriment.

AC Milan was interested in getting him on a 2 year loan at 7m euros per year and with a minimum fee clause of around 45m
That's a bad deal if Milan were to take it. Infact if Bayern got their way with that deal, they'd more than likely make a profit on him for those figures.
