It seems like the kind of thing you'd really enjoy. Its not spartacus but its similarly fun. A great show in general anywayI've never even heard of this show.
I'll add it to the old watchlist. Thanks. It seems like the kind of thing you'd really enjoy. Its not spartacus but its similarly fun. A great show in general anyway
Deadwood, in my opinion, has probably the best written dialogue of any tv show. It's like Shakespeare sprinkled with obscenities. Can never tire of listening to the characters talk.
The show is so dense, it's like a favourite book that reveals more and more every time you read it. It's the pinnacle of tv shows and for me only The Wire surpasses it slightly. Can't recommend it enough.

Dark, dripping in Nietzschean philosophy and bubbling under with the potentially supernatural, this is about as disturbing as TV gets.
The writing, atmosphere, prestige HBO production values and Woody Harrelson in his element all add up to an all-time great miniseries, but McConaughey's career-best turn as Rust Cohle is what propels it to the top for me. Mesmerising from the first scene, he brings the obsessive, nihilistic Cohle to life, and the pay off is a tour de force of a performance.

As far as I'm concerned, it's 3 different shows that happen to have the same title. The 2nd was bang average and I didn't finish the 3rd. I'll be watching the 4th this month (starring Jodie Foster) with tempered expectations.

Before I post the next one, I have a question.
I'm gonna do the music albums version of this next year. What's the best way to do the qualifying rounds?
I was thinking just do it by like decades:
Up to 1969
1970s
1980s
1990s
2000s
2010 - present
Would that be the best way?
I'm not a huge music fan so would like input.
Yeah I did the films one that way and it nearly caused a riotIt’s tough. The only other option is by genre but that’s another can of worms in itself.

The trailer for the 4th looks pretty good. It's the first season with no involvement from creator Nic Pizzolatto.oh, didn‘t know there was a fourth coming up.
That continuous shot where he goes undercover alongside those neonazis hitting a stash house was breathtaking. I also like how it nonchalantly tapped into Lovecraftian cosmic horror within the last ep - although I have to be honest and say that I needed a while till I accepted and embraced that part.
Love this show, the 80’s vibe, the story, and the fact that it’s the first real show I’ve properly watched with my eldest means it holds a very special place for me.No. 16 - Stranger Things

One of the great comedies of its generation(s), now the longest running live-action American sitcom, and a success story from humble beginnings. The Dayman story arc is an early peak. And what other show could have an episode that starts with the premise of a crusade against masturnating bums leading to the acquisition of an old cop car and an immortal gasoline-guzzling cat from a junk yard which leads to a path of corruption and a scheme to get free hot dogs followed by one of the gang trying stop the crooked cops by pretending to be Al Pacino in Serpico? No. 13 - It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
