RAWK Goes Into Meltdown 2015-16 Edition

Milner runs a lot. Playing Milner afforded the likes of Nasri, Silva, Navas, etc. the freedom to forget their defensive duties and stay forward. He also afforded whichever fullback was behind him the license to bomb forward. Zabaleta was a far bigger attacking threat than Milner. He offered a fair amount to City because he complimented the talents around him with his work rate. At Liverpool he won't have that luxury and if they're expecting him to boss a midfield or pop up with 10-15 goals/assists a season they're going to be very disappointed.

So I shouldn't have him my FF squad? Thought he looked like a cheap option in midfield with decent productivity.

I wouldn't, but then again again I went from 1st in my league to 6th after March last season so what do I know.

Seriously? Ok fine be on the fence about his utd tenure but the fact that he is a good coach is beyond reproach.
:lol:Shitcoat and Voyeur is so childish, but the former in particular made me chuckle. Such a naff, inoffensive insult.

Brendan's latest business venture not going down at all well on RAWK, and no bloody wonder:

'Rodgers has gained a reputation in buy to let circles as being an astute, calculated businessman, who snaps up homes at the bottom of the property ladder, in low income areas where residents are unable to afford a higher standard of home.

Judge Roberts, who presided on Monday's case, criticised the 'appalling standard' some of the homes were in, chiding that 'having a monopoly on low income properties doesn't mean that you can take advantage of people, and rent them in disarray'. He also criticised the amount of attempted evictions, saying 'looking through the papers, I note that you have consistently attempted to put people out of their homes at the first sign of financial trouble, instead of working with them to find a solution. You put them into further financial difficulty by lumbering them with court costs as well as arrears.'

One property - a two bedroom terrace in Accrington - was subjected to an enforcement notice by the local council in March of this year. The property was described as a 'rotting slum'. In documents defending the enforcement, Mr Rodgers said 'this is low income housing, for low income people'.

The enforcement was upheld, with Rodgers being convicted and made to pay costs of £400.'

Bit odd he isn't even doing that more subtly under a company name or hidden behind trusts or something.

If it looks like a cnut, sounds like a cnut, and rents slums to empoverished familys who he treats like shit, like a cnut.

Chances are it's Brendan Rodgers.

Wasn't there a story going round a few years ago of Liverpool buying various properties around Anfield and letting them rot so property prices around them plummet, making it easier for them to buy the land around them?

Rodgers suits them just fine, judging from this.

Can't see that being true, it could take a number of years for properties to get into a state of disrepair, to affect prices of land around the area. Also, wouldn't it be a form of monopolising the market of the area around Anfield?

Not visited in a few years but the last time I was in the area it was pretty grim so wouldn't surprise me.

Welcome to the best club in the world Christian. Give your all and we are all right behind you. Show us commitment and effort and in return we will afford you patience. Take a look around, a deep breath, compose yourself and fight like feck out on the pitch. Make a name for yourself, a true romance lies in wait for you just have to scratch beneath the surface and its there, burning like fire waiting to engulf you with its flames. Our bird is like no other.

I hope Luke Shaw isn't reading this

Very believable. Property developers do it all the time. It's called land banking. It's done for the long game not for the next couple of years, they buy it up to allow the surrounding areas to diminish over time, then buy it at lower prices, demolish it and rebuild.

Son allegedly photographed himself while shagging a teenaged girl and father makes money by renting out derelict property. What a family.

Judge: is there anything you would like to say, Mr Rogers?

Brenton: yes, m'lord, I put my tenants names into envelopes, I told them to make sure they weren't in the envelopes at the end of their tenancy, you see, I don't evict tenants, I educate them.

The fans carry the weight of the chains of failure, chains that bind us and our dreams. And we carry the spades that can bury the hopes and dreams of the Manager of Liverpool Football Club, and the staff of Liverpool Football Club, and the players of Liverpool Football Club. I think we all need to put our spades down and help Brendan carry the chains this season.

any quotes on this landlord saga?

They seem to be divided on the issue. Two main camps, those who are plain outraged and those (mod types) who question the legitimacy of certain claims/quotes.

On the one hand Rodgers was, clearly, found guilty of having one of his properties fall into a derelict state - but this property wasn't occupied. So, that one's a business scheme type of thing - and not slumlord shenanigans.

Then again, he also seems to have been involved in pure slumlordery (kicking out people who couldn't pay the rent without giving them a proper chance to work something out, etc.). It's the latter part the mods seem reluctant to accept, demanding actual proof, etc.

I actually hope he isn't that much of a cnut

Agreed.

But if it should turn out that he IS, then I actually think RAWK will turn on him. They do have certain principles over there, and the whole "glorious history/British footballing institution/spirit of Shanks" story is very important to them. Fergie's socialist background was among the few things they respected about him (even though he obviously sold out, betrayed said roots, etc.).

Having a slumlord as their manager will be unacceptable to many, including some of their North Korea style mods.

Rodgers is obviously not that clever, must be taking investment advice from Robbie Fowler another well known Liverpool 'slum lord'.

The Sterling loss won't be an issue, considering Firmino will prove to be more productive than him. He'll produce better numbers in goals and assists than what Sterling brought forward last season. So that's not a concern - replacing Sterling.

FACHT

This defense by RAWK mod before locking that Brendan property thread is funny:

This is the property now:

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.7...4!1sIVhacgeDsp8qLUTIC1NOaQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

Looks in decent condition and is apparently occupied.

This Echo story's months old. The original case (a £400 fine for feck's sake) was overturned a year ago. The house is a little terraced house in Accrington that seems to be in good order now and appears to be occupied. Why is it being dragged up now?

The irony of this is that the reason he's probably decided to invest in property is because he has one of the least secure jobs there is. Fail to live up to the most exacting standards and a load of bellends on the internet will be calling for you to be out on your ear.

What a pile of shite.

Locked.

This thread hasn't had many bumps off late.. Have the crazies crawled back into the woodwork?

I love how there is no irony at all in that post, they genuinely believe everything they say to be the definitive truth.

This newbie has 5 posts limit in the mains per day and one of his/her posts are in the RAWK meltdown thread.

I like this poster, promote them already :D

you could say sterling was even holding them back, dodged a bullet there. bloody hell 3 months ago Bayern were going to build a team around him
