A bigger concern for me is how good our competitors managers are. I'm still on the fence about Van Gaal, but Shitcoat and the Voyeur are clearly very good coaches. Brendan still looks a bit junior, in their company.

Seriously? Ok fine be on the fence about his utd tenure but the fact that he is a good coach is beyond reproach.

The craziness of the situation is that to scousers the only offset against Transfer spend is player sales, if you had an insanely successful team that won £100 m per year in prize money etc that wouldn't have an impact on player spend....

I've never understood the point of net spend argument, clubs spent and receive money every year, whether you spend it on the players, training ground, stadium etc what does it matter. Maybe I could understand clubs spending into debt or owners stripping money out of clubs being an issue but that's life really...

One one level it does make sense - if you sell a £20m player, then replace them with a different £20m player then arguably you've filled in that squad position with someone of equal quality. If you replace them with a £30m player, you'd hope that the overall quality of the squad has increased, if you replace them with a £10m player then you'd expect it to go down.

However, it assumes some impossible things: all players being valued perfectly, people never over/underpaying for anyone, replacing one expensive player with a ton of mediocre ones who compensate perfectly for the loss (Suarez), etc. In the real world it just doesn't work.

It's jabba the hut in the middle that cracks me up
The young David Mellor at the front who realises what's going on 10 seconds after everyone else, he's my favourite character.

If I sell my house for £xyz thousand and spend it all on crack, I can't turn around and say I've got zero net spend so not a problem

 Absolutely brilliant

The dude over 'i dont believe it' guys left shoulder literally has no reaction. His face doesnt change at all. And the red head in the bottom left manages only a yawn lol. They are 2 news ones i have noticed. Still nothing beats fortnight in the glasses.

RAWK not taking very kindly to Mourinho after his comments about their prophet's wife :

Some Rawk Nutter said:
Mourinho is such a fecking dickhead. I hope he slips and lands knob first into Diego Costa's barbed wire like beard
Some Rawk Nutter said:
massive classless c*nt, what else is new
Some Rawk Nutter said:
He's just a massive attention whore, the Kim Kardashian of managers
Some Rawk Nutter said:
I hope he meets Real in the Champions League and gets crushed.
Some Rawk Nutter said:
Rafa has the richer team for once, lets see how the c*nt likes that.
Some Rawk Nutter said:
Mourinho's claim that Benitez ruined Inter, is absolute bullshit and everyone knows that. No use talking about it. Oh. And Mourinho is an emery paper buttswipe.
Some Rawk Nutter said:
He's a classless human being and never ever believe anything that comes out of his mouth. Wish him every ill. c*nt.
Some Rawk Nutter said:
Mourinho always goes too far and ends up looking like the bigger twat. You can tell those 2 CL semi final defeats haunt his dreams at night.
Some Rawk Nutter said:
Mourinho reminds me of that one kid on the block who always picks up the ball and starts walking home as soon as he loses a game.
Some Rawk Nutter said:
Mourinho is just a troll. He trolls everyone he can. If he didn't have a public position where he can mouth off at will to the media, he'd be trolling bereavement pages on Facebook and Twitter
Some Rawk Nutter said:
I would never want Mourinho as our manager
Some Rawk Nutter said:
To be fair he owned rafa there. Always does.

:)

:lol::lol::lol:
This is not far from the truth. If he didnt make it in management he would be most likely an online troll.

I like that one about 2 CL semis haunt him at night. I think he sleeps better though since he destroyed Liverpool title dreams 2 seasons ago.

Can't dispute that, but the juries out on whether Kane can replicate last seasons form, this year. Personally, I don't think he will, but that's largely down to defences/teams paying more attention to him. I still think he will do very well, just not a 30+ goal scorer like last season.

That might play into Spurs' hands. Him becoming a focal point will give more room to other players. But you can bet if he manages to repeat the form this year he will be hot property next summer.

Fecking hell, how many posts has this guy got. Has he not slept for a decade?

I like how he has admitted doninance. Not sure Ive seen that from a scouser before. He must be drunk.

And we won the league by a country mile and then finished 7th the following year so anything is possible on Chelseas front.

Milner was great in squad rotation at shiteh. Not sure he has what it takes to do it week in week out.

He was mostly playing week in week out last season. Most of their regular first teamers were either injured or not on form

And he will suit Liverpool. Hard worker with a little productivity. He is Gerrard without the goal scoring

Edit- Gerrard post 2010 that is.

If Rafa chose to engage then there’s no way Mourinho would win a war of words with him, absolutely none whatsoever. Those who idolise him within the English media would claim the opposite, of course, but that’s par for the course with them (see the case of Benítez vs. Ferguson, 2009). Me, I’d fancy Rafa to make absolute shit of Mourinho in any contest based on wit, intelligence and humour, but I doubt he’ll take the bait. Real Madrid had a manager not too long ago who talked a lot - about other managers, clubs, about referees and conspiracies - and it didn’t work out too well. They’ve got class in the dugout now that speaks for itself, far away from England and the poison of its media
don't know where to start with this one

The guy with 500k post is being created by the mods there i think, never noticed him before, with 500k he should be all over the park

They create imaginary die harder kopites to assert their propaganda?

Yea and look at the season they had. Shite by the standard of the previous season.

don't know where to start with this one

Probably with the suggestion that Rafa won the mind games against SAF in 2009, but the biased English media twisted it. Liverpool bottling it and SAF winning the league is irrelevant

I see they have started using 'par' everywhere. Brentan making sure he leaves lasting impact on scouse psyche even if he ends up as fired in near future.

Milner runs a lot. Playing Milner afforded the likes of Nasri, Silva, Navas, etc. the freedom to forget their defensive duties and stay forward. He also afforded whichever fullback was behind him the license to bomb forward. Zabaleta was a far bigger attacking threat than Milner. He offered a fair amount to City because he complimented the talents around him with his work rate. At Liverpool he won't have that luxury and if they're expecting him to boss a midfield or pop up with 10-15 goals/assists a season they're going to be very disappointed.
