He also tried to gouge Parker's eye out in the same game, and also committed some sort of red-card offence (I can't remember exactly what) against him in the teams' previous meeting that season. So in fact he should have been banned for more than ten games solely for fouls against Scott Parker. Maybe not the ideal candidate for standing up for Suarez.
