RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2012/2013)

What did Ayre say? All I seen was the statement to say they would wait until tomorrow to comment further which is pretty much fair enough.

I think Ayre thought that the damage limitation he did was enough to absorb the bulk of the punishment and hoped Suarez would have been spared of a lengthy punishment.

Although it didn't seem quiet obvious, there were snippets here and there, when he insisted 'that the important thing was that we acted swiftly'. No you muppet, the important thing was to be sincere in punishing Suarez.

Ian Ayre said:
Both the club and player are shocked and disappointed at the severity of today’s Independent Regulatory Commission decision.

I mean, really? Was he? If Ayre knows anything about the job at all, he would have been expecting something along these lines. And if he was expecting this sort of ban, then why on earth is he claiming to be 'shocked and disappointed'? The club seemed to be sensibly adopting the policy of admitting the fault and gracefully accepting punishment. So much for that.

Sometimes it is mind-boggling that the people behind the scenes at LFC are professionals - leading professionals, no less, given that they are working at one of the highest-profile clubs in the world's most famous league. The level of basic incompetence and the lack of professional detachment is, as I say, mind-boggling.
To be a bit serious for a moment, I think that's one of the reasons they're where they are right now.

Anyway, back to RAWK's idiocy --

I think any United fan (not including the morons at RedCafe, who are just "haters of any club that isn't Man United") would be aghast at this. They resolutely supported Evra, and if Suarez did racially abuse him, he gets worse for what amounts to a soft kiss with teeth?
Yes, because absolutely no Caftard said the ban was over the top, or devalued the racism ban? Good to know. Either read our threads or do shut up!

Why did the club release a statement saying that they would remain silent until tomorrow only for that sleachy fecker to come out and speak anyway? They really don't know how to control themselves, so how do they expect to control their players?

In the Chelsea game alone, Suarez bit a player and intentionally handled the ball, Carragher had completely lost the plot and looked likely to kill someone, Sturridge should have been sent off and Shelvey got booked about 3 mins after coming on.

There's no discipline there and that's why they are the club constantly in trouble at the moment.

They also seem to be ignoring the fact that after the Suarez/Evra incident the UEFA guidance is a 10 match ban, so any ban of equal or lower length isn't diminishing racism, it merely highlights that the 8 matches he got was lenient.

More rawk insight...

Ayre would say that, protect his sell on value.

The ban wont count abroad.

Realistically I can see him at Chelsea, Arsenal maybe. Or else Napoli, Bayern Barca Madrid, PSG. Plenty will be in for him.

He just bit one of their players FFS - do you really think they will be in a rush to try and sign him??

Bring back the T-shirts, please.

It has made international news too

What an embarrassment for the Fenway Group

he deserves to be punished for the crime(if thats what it should be called)he committed which in the FAs own words is violent conduct then that should be a 3 game ban, shouldnt matter that it is Luis Suarez or the fact that he is an (alleged) bad boy,its a 3 game ban for violent conduct in all football(as far as im aware)

The fact that he had already been banned for 7 games for biting is something that is clearly lost on this one...

the delusion all over facebook is incredible.

trying to bring in Keane, defoe, Cantona etc as some kind of defence

Look at what Defoe actually did in 06, and compare that to Suarez.

Look at Suarez's back catalouge.
The man is thebiggest scumback we've had here in 20years.

They just fecking hate us and the player that much, and without a shadow of a doubt, Dementio had a say in this.

Without a shadow of a doubt.

Their mods do their best to hide it. Imagine what that place would be like without them.

they actually act like he's some innocent chap who keeps getting caught up in stuff.

Rather than realising he's the luckiest player in the history of english footy never to be sent off here!

For those who say Suarez has no-one to blame only himself I would say, with respect, that that is the sort of simplistic attitude that allows the FA to do what they like.

Was wondering who I should blame in all this.

This made me chuckle:

Sometimes following this team is really depressing.

Yes a ten game ban was pretty harsh on Suarez compared to other offences.

But Suarez should not have bitten anyone or for that matter talked back to Evra (Evra is a git but that is exactly what he wanted)

But even with Suarez firing on all cylinders the team has only managed an upper-mid table finish of 7th this season

Disregarding the fact that his racist insults to Evra have been downgraded to "talking back to someone who wanted to be racially abused"...I particularly love the realisation that even with him having his best ever season, they still only managed 7th!

Maybe PSG. Or whichever Russian club likes to splash cash around.

But remember, all these clubs already had a chance to sign Suarez and he went to a seventh place club in England. Because he had already done things like biting another player on the pitch.

A lot of the bigger clubs would have been in for him when he was at Ajax, if he hadn't already displayed lunatic tendencies.

Oh God, it's Return of the Scribe:

Christ. On the back of a minotaur riding a bike. Into the sunset over Anfield. If there's one person I detest more than Luis Suarez it's this pompous, infuriating piece of shit. I'm not a violent man - but if I ever came face to face with this horrible wanker I'd do a Cantona style kick on his inflated arse. Euuurrgh!

He deserves censure and disapproval, not castration and deportation. Children do not bite other children because of Suarez but because they are naughty children. The fabric of society will not unravel by the act of one footballer, nor did it with the indiscretions of Eric Cantona, Ryan Giggs and John Terry.

I feel like a seahorse in the night after reading that. :D

just had an argument with a Liverpool fan at work and he came out with the classic RAWK , the FA have it in for Liverpool, he was trying to argue that he has been punished twice for the first bite and Evra and the 10 match ban was just wrong.
He tried to argue that laws of the land don't count when you playing football.

If you bite someone in the street you can expect an ABH charge. Its dirty and it's nasty.

I wonder why he felt the need to point out that the guy was black, surely anyone can have an opinion on racism regardless of ethnicity?

Its written in such a way that makes me think it was fabricated. When you;re looking for reassurance, especially regarding racism issues its such a common thing to do the 'I have a black friend' or ' my black mate thinks this'. Im sure his 'black mate' if he exists is not actually upset biting someone is seen as worse then a racial slur.

That was one of my arguments with him , he was not having any off it, all he could say was you could brake a leg and only get a 3 match ban.

PauldySon! The man of the hour

Anyway, if you break someone's leg theres at least a fair chance you were attempting to play the ball.

That was one of my arguments with him , he was not having any off it, all he could say was you could brake a leg and only get a 3 match ban.

The thing is is that with the majority of the 'leg breaking tackles' the player genuinely has not gone in with the intention to break someones leg, whereas there's no way you can accidentally bite someone.

I really wish Gerrard would call the c*nts up on this. He is their captain. In fact, I would feck the national team off if I was him.

Can some fans make a "feck The corrupt FA (and Gordon Taylor)" banner?
I am inches away from going on a GTA style rampage.
Sad thing is, any player now will be on pins when they go on the pitch thinking any shitty little thing they get away with might be picked up on a replay and dealt with after the game.
The FA: Tough on Luis Suarez; Tough on the cause of Luis Suarez.
Said it after the evra thing, we should ban the lot and just do interviews with LFC TV

The chairman of the Liverpool Supporters Club (Richard Pedder) wades in with "I don't think it's a shock, I think he deserves everything he gets.

"It's down to the club to tell him 'this is your last chance'. He won't leave the club [this summer]. They shouldn't have said anything and just accepted the ban.

"With them releasing a statement, it's going to go on and on again and we want it closed. We haven't had enough but we're concerned. Nobody is bigger than the club."

This is met with

He wants fecking off for a start, What a fecking idiot!!
That Supporters Club chairman is fecking brilliant isn't he?!
And just to save people fifteen seconds of their lives....

No, Richard Pedder isn't on twitter.
Have you opened up a Pedder file on him?

There's just too much to quote right now. It would take infinite monkeys with infinite typewriters.

The guy has just come back for round 2, saying about Eric and it was no different and how he did not get a 10 match ban, the muppet had forgot United banned him and then the FA extended it.
When I said no it was because he was banned, he did not utter another word after that and just left.:lol:

FFS getting them all tonight, just another one who said he got the 10 match ban because, SAF wants RVP to win the golden boot, I kid you not and he was deadly serious.:lol:

So what ban would he think was appropriate?

If it was 3-4 games then it wouldn't really make any difference.

Jesus these people are fecking stupid.

:lol: tell him about Suarez Everton's goal that was wrongly offside. It will drive him over the edge.

This ban will seriously damage Liverpool's quest for...um...a Grand National place.

Did not want to talk about how long the ban should be , just that it was all SAF's fault.

sadly he has gone now, but will get him next time

honestly couldn't give a shite about Saturdays game..or the rest of the season....and wish that the summer break would last for about 18 months.....sick of the entire fecked Skysports soap opera that the game's become
Fergie and his chums/scum media machine, The FA and the rest of the xenophobic English media have played a blinder in all fairness, he's been character assassinated way before this incident, they knew he was a Cantona-esque type player amazing talent capable of the odd rash moment because he plays on the edge.

The minute he stepped off the plane in this country its been nothing but bad press and ANYTHING he has done on the pitch has been highlighted times x20, whether it was a bad tackle, gesture, dive etc the way its been highlighted every week hasn't been anything like any other player I can remember. Anybody with any common sense knows the Evra incident was a farce and was another excuse for Ferguson/FA to do there dirty work plus the Ferguson V Kenny thing was also a big factor in that situation.

So now that he's actually done something properly wrong for the first time in a Liverpool shirt...BOOOM... all the shit storm they've created before, he's already been done... Ferguson's quote after Evra non handshake "Liverpool should sell Suarez" thats been there agenda, they've almost completed it.
does anyone know if there's a petition out there for the FA to actually create a more stringent set of guidelines so everyone knows where they stand. 10 matches for a bite, 4 for racism, etc etc or whatever they sit fit? (serious question)
This is what I put on my Facebook page
Quote
I am not condoning what Luis Suarez did - it was wrong and stupid - but let's have a bit of clarity here though eh? He gnawed on Ivanovic's arm - he didn't bite down and he didn't break the skin or leave massive teeth marks. Yes, that is still wrong but put that into perspective - he didn't seriously injure Ivanovic with a reckless two-footed or high tackle; he didn't elbow him in the face; he didn't grab his junk and squeeze and twist it; he didn't put his hands around his throat and strangle him; he didn't kick him from behind; he didn't beat anyone up or karate kick someone in the crowd; he didn't sleep with all his teammates' wives; he didn't have an affair with his brother's wife; he didn't miss a drugs test to go shopping; he didn't steal anything; he didn't rape or spitroast anyone and he certainly wasn't done for drink driving.....I could go on but those are just some things that pro footballers have done and there was never the fuss made about those incidents because none of them involved Luis Suarez. Most teams would take him in a heartbeat but he is ours, he will stay at Liverpool FC and he will Never Walk Alone...
