Mockney
Not the only poster to be named Poster of the Year
If we take his intent as a slant on the idiom, then yeah, it's basically a shit backhanded compliment of his own team.
If we take his intent as a slant on the idiom...
Exactly like buses then.
I thought that was a given.
Now that I'm thinking about, RAWK could well be a medical condition. I certainly wouldn't call them healthy bunch. Imagine your doctor telling you you're suffering from a bad case of RAWK. Scary thought.
RAWKBola. A severe brain hemorrhaging disease
Rawkbola is a virus that infects only Dippers and anyone associated with a football club called Liverpool. First cases were reported towards the end of 1990. It is generally not fatal but leads to bizarre delusion and serious hallucinations, such as winning the premier league. Several Rawkbola victims have also been known to suffer from the Next Season Syndrome.
Various scientists have been searching for a cure for over 20 years without any success despite spending over £600m, in fact Rawkbola has mutated into different strains over the years causing victims much heartache and agony. A case study is highlighted below :

However the latest Head Researcher has indicated there is some hope on the way.

The bit that confused me was Shankly being more important than his dad, mam, sisters and brothers. Really?
Been reading some RAWK this afternoon. The general consensus is Johnson is better than Rafael (comfortably), Skrtel and Agger are miles better than Evans, who is very average, Enrique is better than Evra, Reina is better than De Gea, Suarez is better than Rooney and RvP, Gerrard is Gerrard. I imagine they think Carrick is shit as well.
Do they just completely ignore the table? I don't see West Brom fans (who they are 1 point ahead of) make such strange claims.
I think that, if he goes, he can fetch us between 40-50M. He is easily the best player in the League at the moment and Real, Barca and Bayern, and maybe either of Milano teams would all get him in a heartbeat if he were to go for 40M.
Welcome to the RAWK thread. Please, enjoy your stay.

To be fair that's probably the least deluded of all their posts, only Bale or Mata really can claim otherwise. In todays market Suarez would probably fetch between 30 and 40, and Bayern have apparently already declared interest. Both Milans make sense too as he would probably fit in it Italy, not sure if Barca or Real need him but he is hardly beneath them in ability, but its whether or not they want his baggage.
The ones about Glen Johnson, and the rest of their mediocre bunch are miles ahead.

I think Van Persie & Rooney have very valid claims too...
He won't get into the Real team, is he really better than Higuain who struggle to get games? As for Barca he will be another one shoved to the left or right to let Messi score all the goals.
Speculating a bit.
He could easily cost 40m in today's market. No chance about an Italian club signing him though. His wage at Liverpool is 6m a year, and it makes sense that he will have a bigger wage if he goes to another club. Let's say 8m a year, and in a 5 years contract his transfer can cost about 80m. Italians are out, even Juventus cannot afford it, especially considering that all Italian clubs don't like to pay that much.
Let leaves Chelsea, City, PSG, Bayern, United, Barca, Madrid and the Bermuda triangle (Russian clubs). United of course not, for obvious reasons and can't see him going to Russia. While Bayern can easily be his preferred move, I would love if he will go to City or Chelsea. If Madrid signs Aguero this summer, and Chelsea offload Torres, it could be easily that one of them will sign him. And then we will see the biggest meltdown of all time.
By a few miles.

Are you sure about that?
RVP would have had a very valid claim at the mid point of the season but the poster does specify 'currently' the best player. RVP has been off the boil for a few months now when talking about the best player, and Rooney probably has more cause, but still think Bale, Mata and Suarez have been better in the past couple of months.
My point more was that of all the delusion in RAWK that was the least deluded, not that it was 100% accurate.
Are you sure about that?
I didn't know a few months meant a month and a half.
Some people were calling us a one man team still back in January.
Some people are bellends.
Sports Emmy > any trophy.
The then new Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers was shown at his home, as well as displaying his management technique
[...]
In one episode of the six-part series, Rodgers said before a match against West Bromwich Albion: "The thing to remember is that you can only trust yourselves." The side lost 3-0
From start to finish it was an exhilarating experience
Behind-the-scenes documentary shortlisted in editing category
Now that they can't use 18-5, they'll simply change it to 1-5. 1 representing the number of Sport Emmy nominations.
Nice one. Almost another trophy in the cabinet. Can needle Utd with that one. HEY GUYS. HAVE YOUUUUUU GOT AN EMMY?
And not to get pedantic, but Liverpool is not actually nominated nor will it win an emmy. The guys/gals who did the editing are nominated.
I can see it now, the show wins the Emmy but instead of the actual editors going up to collect the award, Rodgers appears on the stage and goes into a ten minute speech about his philosophy before walking off with the Emmy.
If United pumped out some of this fecking bollix, there'd be no shortage of cnuts watching it.
I think the press relationship with Rafa can be split into three chapters.
Chapter One: He arrives at Liverpool from Valencia, who had just won the unfashionable UEFA Cup. Press darling Owen leaves and Benitez brings in Spanish players the press haven't heard of, like Chubby Alonso and Lewis Garcia? Also, he looked a bit like a librarian or an accountant.
At the same time, Jose Mourinho arrived at Chelsea. He won the Champions League, ooooh. He had a pretty face, and he had a scarf and a long coat. And he called himself the Special One.
They chose Mourinho. Rafa had the bare faced cheek to knock their new favourite out of the CL, destroy the dream. Agenda set.
Chapter Two: Liverpool become a threat to Yernited. Their master becomes upset. They become upset. They say he rants. They say he rotates. They say zonal marking doesn't work. They say he should win the league, and he didn't. Liverpool were top of the league, Yernited were getting outrageous decisions and still not closing. Rafa vented the truth. Agenda set.
Chapter Three: Job done. Reputation destroyed. He's sacked at Liverpool. He's sacked at Inter, at a team Mourinho had left completely unstable. He can't get a job, they forget about him. He comes back to Chelsea, they start again. And then after almost a decade of bile and shit and nastiness, they say 'Oh poor Rafa, he's right to criticise these Chelsea fans. We support Rafa' Agenda completed.
