Anyone else worried about Lucas? Woefully off the pace today. When does match fitness stops being the excuse?

This is the RAWK equivalent to posting porn all over redcafe.

Apparently, that 24 points behind quality mark was by Rodgers, Jesus.

Philosopher wannabe.Instead of preparing his team for the season, he was too busy looking for the bloody cam and Liverpool cringe worthy reality TV show

If you ignore the first half performance and forget their 2 goals, we were arguably the better side.
......

Just wow....

You talk about their experience and quality but go and look at the 2 line-up's and tell me there's that much difference, if any.

Seriously?

Yeah, fecking seriously.

Reina - De Gea

Johnson - Evra
Skrtel - Ferdinand
Agger - Vidic
Wisdom - Rafael

Gerrard - Carrick
Allen - Cleverley
Lucas - Kagawa
Downing - Young

Suarez - Van Persie
Sterling - Wellbeck

Looking at those match up's there aren't many of theirs I'd take over ours. Pretty even imo. Difference today was we went into our shell as we always do at OT and came away with our usual 0 points.

Someone's comparing players again.

Edit: Damn you Phurry.

I honestly wouldn't take any of their team, not even Nutmeg Boy.

This is the problem with us squandering chance after chance at OT against Liverpool. They fluke a goal back and 'lose valiantly' due to a dodgy ref/bad luck/poor pitch and then delude themselves into thinking the two squads are similar in quality. They're miles apart.

I love stuff like that

"If you ignore the 70 minutes they completely dominated us and the five goals it could've gone either way really"

Wouldn't have been different if we'd won 5-0. They'd still bring up the exact same stuff.

Tbf, the second half was close and our substitutions were very defensive to close the game out.

So you're agreeing with him, yes? We bossed the first half completely, the second half was theirs but only just, and only really because we did a Fergie and just did enough to see it out (defensive tactics, leg-saving substitutions, energy-saving style of play).

So Rodgers is having a laugh. If this had been the last game of the season for us and there was nothing to lose, we would have gone out for the second half the same way we went out for the first and won 4-0.

To be fair, they got the defeat they deserved. One fecking shot on target in 94 minutes versus all the chances and shots on goal we had means the win was the least we deserved.

24 points between the two teams and their first 11 is better, even Einstein couldn't come up with an explanation

Mate they get excited by a bit of game raising which naturally follows getting a goal back and think it means they were the better side.

It was a largely comfortable win except for the Sturridge chance which he hilariously messed up because is isn't a truly top class player.

Sturridge did have a chance at the end when all that pinball was occuring in the box. That was close.

Yeah but compare that to us first half

Welbeck messing up two good chances, RVP with the first time finish attempt that went over, Cleverley's excellent left peg volley, RVP flick off the line, the penalty we should have had for the push. Second half Kagawa forcing the save from Reina, versus one chance for Sturridge and a couple of swipes into the side netting that De Gea had well covered.

I'm not agreeing with him, just saying they improved when they brought Sturridge on and shaded the second half. Yep it could have been out of sight in the first , particularly if Welbeck was remotely clinical, but I'm sure most fans were happy to hear the final whistle.
