RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2011/2012)

You think?

Over the years I have seen many posters claim some of the following equally ridiculous statements

Foster > Reina
Anderson > Gerrard
Anderson > Lucas (perhaps not so far fetched but still not even a race)

While I am not for one minute agreeing with any muppet who has said Spearing is better than Wilshere, I think you'll find that every team has their goggles on at some stage.

Bollocks, I've never read that Foster > Reina or Anderson > Gerrard.

Now play fairly Plan M.

I don't know how to link back to previous threads but doing a very quick search I can see Cantona07 referring to Reina as a poor man's Ben Foster.

And try and remember the one good game Anderson has had ;) and do a search for the match thread. You guys beat us, Gerrard had an off day and that was it. If that doesn't work, look for "Anderson had Gerrard in his pocket" and the thread will be full of Anderson > Gerrard eejits.

Actually, reading the Anderson Vs Lucas thread of a few years ago is very interesting when you see how both have developed in that time.

Then Cantona07 must have been drunk. As for the Anderson > Gerrard idiots, they need their heads testing too.

Lucas is still very overrated by you lot though in my honest opinion. He's had some great matches against United in recent years but seems to go missing in other games I've watched. I'm not saying he's a bad player because I think he's important to you lot - I just think he's massively overrated at RAWK.

We were all over them. They scored twice in quick succession. We were all over them again. What the feck was that "person" watching?

Apparantly we're "obsessed with Liverpool" because we've got this thread which is for laughing at the ridiculous bitterness over at RAWK yet they have a 20+ page matchday thread every time United play!

Their CS thread is 30 pages. Our match day thread is 35 odd pages.

And they say we're obsessed. :wenger:

my favourite for the 1st manager to be chopped this season - mancini

i just hope rafa doesnt get the job cos they would be unstoppable with all their cash and all his skill

Post on RedCafe:

"Is it inconceivable that Rio and Vida had poor positioning purposefully so as to see how De Gea would react?"

Are they mental??
They think they know everything about football on that forum, but in reality there is very little knowledge on there whatsoever. I bet most of them have never played the game.
Anyone want to tell them where that quote originally came from?

Suarez and co are going to tear United a new one apparantly

IT'S ON!

They go on about "beating United every season" but completely forgot (or choose to forget) that we do them at our place more often than not.

They have short memories too - it wasn't that long ago Anfield was like our 2nd home.

I LOVE the blind optimism they have going into this season yet again.

IT'S ON!

And that's precisely why, they haven't won the league in 20 years.

They're busy trying to tear us a new one, they did that last season too at anfield did they not?

What happened at the end of the season, United CHAMPIONS, AGAIN.

this was not from RAWK but from a Liverpool fan, but it is worthy of RAWK

Talking about conspiracy theories over 9/11 and other such shite on FB. I've just gone back with a classic, related to today's game, which has probably gone over the poster's head. I posted "And so was Man Utd winning the Community Shield today. It was pre-arranged before the start. City were always going to be leading 2-0 at half time, then in the 2nd half, United were going to equalise. Then, depending on how the game went, the number of minutes stoppage time was going to be dependent on how long it took United to get the winner, if the scores were still level. I mean, how much proof do you want? The 4th official said 4 minutes stoppage time, yet the commentator said that there was no way it should have been that long - 2 minutes at most. Yet United scored just after the 2 minutes was up - 93 minutes and 7 seconds. Inside job? You bet."

that cant be genuine

right?

Balotelli subbed off for Barry in the 59th minute.
Milner off for Johnson in the 67th.
Evra for Rafael in the 71st.
Kolarov for Clichy in the 73rd, (checked on DVR, this didn't happen at the same time as the Evra substitution)
Welbeck for Berbatov in the 89th.

That's 2:30 of stoppage time right there, not counting anything like goal celebrations or injuries.

It was 2-2 in stoppage time and didn't Dzeko have a chance?

United had the balls to win it though

This "Fergie Time" thing is one of the most embarassing media inventions of the last few years

I agree, it stems from that Owen winner against City at OT a few seasons ago, it's gotten really tiresome. There was 4 minutes added on which is quite normal. Dzeko had a chance, we cleared and Nani broke free to score. This happened within the 4 minutes stoppage time. Once play started again, the ref played on for another minute in which City could have scored, but they failed to do so.

I rarely post in this thread because I think it's a bit silly, but having given in to late night boredom and had a look over there....and..well..

J-Mc
I'm sorry mate but before half time, City dominated it.

Chakan
United dominated the 2nd half sure as shit didn't dominate the first.

I mean, we clearly dominated the first half in every degree, possession, attempts, chance creation etc, aside from an 8 minute spell at the end, but I suppose if you were completely blinded by your hatred of us you could just about not see it....But then, along comes this

Andy@Allerton
Manchester United did not dominate the match. They had more possesion in the first half, but did very little with that possession. Manchester City scored two goals - one from awful goalkeeping and poor defending and one from awful goalkeeping.

Second half you obviously changed it around and Mancini reacted like a dazed whale after one too many pints of penguin broth. Bringing Barry on was the correct idea - but far, far too late.

Your first was a well worked goal. The Nani goal was taken well but was piss poor defending and the third again was piss poor defending.

The defending on show from both sides was pretty woeful for large chunks of time. Not sure what's wrong with Ferdinand - but he looked off the pace and Vidic looked a stranger - I'm guessing from their body langauge they don't trust your new keeper at all.

The biggest and strangest decision from Manchester City and Mancini was after establishing that the new Manchester United keeper was unlikely to ever save a long range shot - they stopped their long range shooting.

Was a game of poor tactical ambition from both managers - but Manchester United used the benefit of several key decisions (The main one being Evra remaining on the pitch after cynically fouling as last man back).

First half was abysmal from both sides - not a good game to watch by any stretch of the imagination. Second half was a game littered with mistakes and poor tackles and terrible officiating.

Not one to write home about despite the scoreline.

I mean, what do they think when they see all the press, other fans and even the vast majority of the City boards saying we dominated the whole game and it was an entertaining match...Do they just believe they're the only bastions of light in an otherwise dark and deluded world?...Surely, surely they must have a semblance of perspective and awareness about them?

To be honest what do you expect from a man who uses bat shit as shaving foam?

A man so dense he appears on the perodical table as Iridium.

A man so eloquent in his speaking that he makes the gibberish frontier hobo from Blazing Saddles sound like Obama.

A man that has so much intuitiveness about football that his turds look and smell like Johan Cruyff.

Stand up and applaud Andy@Allerton who truly is the foremost internet football forum bellend of his generation, god bless you Andy and all the future car thieves in your wrinkly ball bag!!

Tbf Andy is a massive wum who gets a kick everytime he is quoted on the caf. I find him funny and sad in equal measure.
