That first goal was genuinely world class. Such a ridiculous touch and finish. There is clearly talent there and he has great physical attributes. Coached properly he could be a really good player.
Looked great today. Looked really involved in the game and I felt that this was his best game in terms of his presence with being a striker at the top end of the pitch. Impressive.

Not much more you can expect from a striker. Scoring goals, and a warrior for the full 90+ minutes.

When every left winger and fullback you have is generally poor creatively the striker won’t get many chances.
Still a few dodgy touches. But the two goals were well taken, the touch and finish for the first was just top class.

I'm glad he showed what can happen when a formation actually tries to utilize the striker. The first goal was a true striker's finish. He'll still have games where he is outmuscled because his first touch isn't outstanding, but tonight he did very well to relieve us from pressure when he needed him too. He is a much better option than Rashford at 9, but we all knew that already.
He's gonna be inconsistent like this for a bit still, but with a bit of time. Like you say he clearly has the touch in him, that first goal proved that

Very good finisher, get him the ball to feet in the box and let him face the goal when running and he's ace, not so much backing into defenders and needing to turn and shoot. Totally wasted as a battering ram.

Much better today, not just with the goals but with his holdup play back to goal.
We didn’t even create that much for him today to be honest. Just the third goal which was great play and exactly what Amorim will be looking for in attack.
The first goal he made all on his own for Garnacho and the second goal was barely a half chance, albeit well created by Mazraoui.

Clearly very talented, but raw and playing in a dysfunctional team. Put him in that Sporting team and he will score at least as much as Gyokeres.
I don’t think we have had a striker with his ability to finish since RvP.

From my scientific experiment of counting Mississippi's, it was less than a second from the moment he took his first touch to when the shot left his foot. All in an incredibly tight space.

His finishing has never been a problem ..we have seen that apart from headers as there are no good crossers around… he can finish in very different situations …he knows how to finish..unlike Zirkzee …however Zirkzee has qualities that none of our forwards have but seems cumbersome for whatever reasons, maybe new club, Dutch manager got sacked etc..

Sort of sums up his time with us. I get that he’s very raw and flawed right now, but my goodness I don’t think we’ve had a single game where he’s missed constant great chances. Majority of his good games and goals come from top tier finishes and half chances it feels like.
