A. City are shit at negotiating.
B. I think he will be a good signing for them. Should link up very well with Aguero.
C. I know Liverpool are getting a lot of money, but to lose a talented kid like Sterling so early on his career does not reflect well on where they are as a club.

Fair fecks to Liverpool, they always get top notch for their players. Luckily for us, they then go and spend it on shite.

There is not much they can do. He has two years left on his current contract and already wants to leave. They have got around £130m for two players these past two summers. Their financials are looking good.

Liverpool can blow 45m on Fabien Delph now and then tell everyone it's fine because they're still 4m up...

Fair play to City's negotiator for getting one million discount on Sterling. He could've got this deal one or two month ago, but he stuck to his guns and got the discount. Great negotiation.

49 million.. City got robbed . I would say Liverpool got the better deal, but since they will spend it on average/overrated English dross, they didnt.

For £49m plus add-ons you should really be getting world class talent.. not a kid with potential but a "unprofessional" side to him away from the pitch.

Wow, didn't expect city to meet the 50million asking price.. Thought @Dumbstar was in a dreamland expecting that price to be paid..

Fair fecks to pool on this one.. Have no idea how City think paying 50million and 200k pw to sterling is a risk worth taking..

Great signing for City. Slightly annoying that Liverpool have managed to squeeze the full asking price although I suppose it's only about 35m after the QPR cut so it's not actually that much.

Wasn't rocket science. English quota, Arabs plaything, I'm sure I mentioned it often enough.

I think it's a good signing for City. They need english players and he has the potential to become a world class player imo.

Well yeah. But that's my point. They are losing a very good young player who despite his attitude is still one of their best players. My point is that the fact that they aren't even an attractive proposition to someone as young as Sterling reflects badly on where they are as a club right now.

Sterling is quite underrated in here I think. Not sure if it's because he is/was a Liverpool player of if it's because he's English.

That'll soon change when he starts performing well at City, which he will.

City determined not to pay £50m. We'll negotiated.
Fecking hell, I laughingly told a Liverpool fan the other day that City would probably pay 49 million just to satisfy their claim that 50m was too much.
What a joke they are.

at the end of the 2013/14 season they looked an unstoppable fury of momentum with the triple S front three.

Now look at them! Complete rethink needed.

Huge fee, but pretty much exactly what City needed to add to their attacking players. A lot of pace and quality to help out some older players who wont be running around quite as much

He'll be amazing for them. Last sesaon was not his true level.

They already spent 29 million on Firmino. I'd assume they spent that knowing that Sterling would leave.

Not necessarily, only Clyne and Gomez of the other signings at present required a fee, Ings tribunal aside. And with heavy earners like Gerrard and Johnson gone, I don't see the Firmino deal being directly connected.
It's more likely the Sterling money will be used to buy a striker.
