Sterling / Depay / Di Maria and possible Bale
Would there be a pacier and better ball carrying side in Europe than the team we could put out?

No way Liverpool sell to us. I repeat, not since 1938 have they sold us a player. Losing Sterling will be a massive kick in the balls for them, their fans will be outraged -- if he gets sold to us they might start a fecking civil war.

Sterling would be daft to join us.

Liverpool fans sent death threats to Gerrard's family to get him to change his mind over a move to Chelsea.

Raheem would have a scouse fatwa on his head if he joined us.

The story is blatantly briefed by Liverpool, trying to soften the blow for the fans for when he eventually joins Man City, which won't seem too bad in comparison.

Wouldn't want him for that price tbh. He's overrated. A good dribbler with high potential but lacks any sort of end product to be priced anywhere near as high as he is. I still reckon Janujaz will end up at least as good as him when they reach their peaks. Also seems to be a bit of a bitch.

Should make an insulting bid £15m or £20m plus Evans.
Get our business done early and then make embarrassing bids for the rest of the summer to entertain ourselves.

Basically what we did when Moyes was in charge.

Yeah, we should bid 15 m and then every time they refuse raise the bid by 1 pound. :D

Why do Bale and Sterling have to allegedly become available at a time when we're well stocked in wingers? :(

ADM, Young, Januzaj, Mata, Nani and now Depay. There's no way we could keep everyone happy.

Not that it's super relevant to this thread, as we're not signing Sterling, but Van Gaal's blue-print for the team is by all accounts a fluid front three who can inter-change and fill eachother's positions.

Players like Bale and Sterling can do this.

There will effectively be three positions for those players to fight for (as well as Rooney and whichever forwards remain), not two.

If it's a choice between Bale and Sterling, it's no contest really. Bale is far better.

He would need balls of steel to push for a move to us.

I just hope we don't waste too much time chasing it though, better players for more important positions need signing.

It's not going to happen guys. Don't waste all that nervous tension over this one... There'll be another Muppet Saga for us to enjoy soon enough ;)

What you're doing there? See it.

UNCONVINCING.

Not a WUM. He's a goner. Won't sell to Utd we all know that. But we could certainly do with a leg up from a rich club like yourselves to push his price right up.

RAWK

'Christ. Look at those smuggy, greedy, beady little eyes.

And the way he's holding the trophy that just screams "£100k a week? feck off, I want £300k".

Chilling, portrait of an evil man.'

I rarely lol at text on a screen, but that was impressive!:lol::lol:

Looks like someone has briefed all the papers that we want him.

Hope it was woody :drool::lol:
