I honestly don't think he's that good tbh. I wouldn't want us to spunk 30 plus million on him.

City will be all over him. Whether we get him is a different matter. Reports today they want Jovetic, could help sweeten the deal.

I read that and felt amazed that a club with Sturridge as their main man would even touch Jovetic

To be fair to Liverpool they haven't really done much wrong in this saga, Sterling has behaved in a despicable manner starting from the BBC interview to this leak today
It was Rogers who made it public by coming out saying they'd offered him a lot of money and making out like Sterling was after more when in actual fact money doesn't seem to be the issue.

Clearly been tapped up, and is making his intentions public to ensure he isn't guilt-tripped/tricked/forced into staying.
Can't blame him.

Sorry to spoil the party lads but I think Liverpool could do OK out of Sterling going to be honest. £40m and Ibe is a ready made replacement who looks like he could turn out the better player.

Would be brilliant if we brought him to United, was a United fan as a kid apparently so I'm sure we could look past him playing for Liverpool. Liverpool wouldn't sell to us but hell, bid 50m or so and they might consider it. Not like we're low on money. Would rather him then Bale (who would cost twice the amount). He's wasteful, but he sure as hell has the potential to be world class. Would piss them off more then anything too.

Jovetic, Liverpool buying another injury prone striker, exactly what they need  That'd be great for you lot though.

Liverpool Summer Plans:

Sturridge
Depay Coutinho Sterling

1 down with Depay, let's take the rest.

Anyone else not fussed about him coming here?

The deluded Liverpool commentator has spoken

@JimmyLiddell: It's mind games mate, all part of Brendan's tactics, make them think we're weak next season, but it's our feckin year

:lol::lol::lol:

I thought he wanted to be back in London so surely he won't go to City, so it would have to arsenal for me as I can't see Chelsea wanting him, but Arsenal have arguably better wingers already so would they blow a fortune on him? Is he even worth £40 million + and £150 k ish a week on what he's done, I just can t see it.

Maybe he'll go abroad would suit Liverpool much more.

If he leaves and the replacements are of the likes of Ings, Rodriguez etc then it's very hard to see Coutinho and Sturridge not following in the next year. A proper statement of intent will be required this summer or Liverpool could be massively set back.
Can you realistically see anyone in the rung above the likes of Ings and Rodriguez going to Liverpool this summer? They couldn't get Sanchez after their best season in a decade. Furthermore they lost out to a team known for finishing fourth.

They're on track for a long run of finishing outside the top 4 and there's no obvious way they can change that.

That doesn't make much sense tbf. If Ibe really is as good or better (which is a very big if) then Liverpool would be far better off if both of them stayed put. Not as though either of them can only play one position.

he's so overrated its untrue, he has pace to burn and he's a decent dribbler but he has absolutely no end product. His shooting and crossing is abysmal.

He will stay in England and probably end up at City or arsenal tbh I won't be too fussed either.he isn't a game changing player.

I'd Sell him, sick of this nonsense. Ever since he went gobbing off to the BBC last time on the back of the United horror show, right before another important game at Arsenal this saga massively affected our focus for the run in and he's partly responsible for it. Bad timing, bad advice and his attitude has showed in his recent performances. He's done nothing, just been plodding along. If Arsenal are interested, then I'd take money + Walcott if offered. If City want him they can pay big bucks and put him in their rotting pecking order of English wasters like they did with Rodwell, Johnson, Sinclair.

Think he would be a good buy for Arsenal and Sterling may just prefer them over City as they seem to be on the up and have a strong squad capable of challenging for the title.

City on the other hand need major surgery, everyone bar Hart,Aguero and Silva are either getting old or of questionable quality.

Of course money talks so he could well end up there.I wouldn't be paying more than £30M for him either.

He's going to be brilliant for whoever he joins, in my opinion. Arsenal would be a great fit for him.

I think he is a good player but 40-50 million for him would be madness IMO, only City because of their desperation for English players would stump up that much money

I just can't see why, they'll make you pay a ridiculous amount for him if you do get him, then you'll have to pay him stupid wages to get him to come to there.

Yes he's looked good at times but he's miles off been a top class player imo.

Think of all the injury prone strikers they could sign with £40m.
