I would leave if I was told Milner and Ings were being bought this summer.

To be fair to Liverpool they haven't really done much wrong in this saga, Sterling has behaved in a despicable manner starting from the BBC interview to this leak today

I agree with him TBH. I think they hung him out to dry TBF

I do as well. I said at the time, I think that he just wanted to focus on football and genuinely wasn't interested in contract talks until the season was over. Liverpool then leaked it to the press and dragged his name through the dirt saying he is rejecting massive contracts. Not signing a contract you are offered because you don't want to negotiate midseason is very different to rejecting a massive contract because you want more.

Tell you what though, it will provide a second chance for Brendan to spend big money on sorting his team out... Here's hoping to a repeat of last summer :)

He's been poor for the last few months, probably because he knew he was leaving, but he's still been one of their best players this season and it'd be a damaging blow if he left.

I think this is the worst Liverpool squad I can ever remember, they've normally always had at least 1 or 2 top class players. I think Coutinho is good but it's slim pickings after that...

Even if by some ridiculous turn of events he wanted to come here, it just will not happen. They will never sell to Utd.

Nah you're all wrong. Expect some balaclava-clad fine young chaps to turn up to Raheem's abode and politely request him to stay over a cup of tea. He'll make a u-turn and become a club legend.

Yeah, totally agree. It's all Liverpool's doing this, Sterling TBF to him has done the right thing here IMO.

He's got star potential. Liverpool may not like it, but at this stage in his career he needs to be playing in the Champions League. He cant be trying to drag his team mates over the finish line every week.

in 24 Months they have went from being so close to Winning there first title in 25 years and playing some of the best football in the league with Players like Suarez,Sterling and Sturridge to potentially Finishing 7th, already losing there main player, about to loose another and then theres Sturridge who's been on Holiday in America for most of the year and to top it all of, there holy saviour Slippy G leaving them too.

Football normality has returned.

Not sure I will ever seen a transfer between the clubs in my lifetime.

Serves you right Brendan, you middle-management tosser.

Its just hideous viewing. If someone said to me I want you to act like the biggest clichéd prick possible, I'd still fall short of this.

Form hasn't been great over the past few months but it's still going to be a brutal blow if/when he's sold. Should really be the future of the club (alongside Coutinho).

This thread looks good alongside the Memphis Medical Completed thread.

As long as you get really top money, and spend it well, then could reduce the blow.

City will be all over him. Whether we get him is a different matter. Reports today they want Jovetic, could help sweeten the deal.

I'm not so sure. He's a great player with immense potential but you should get a big fee for him. Your transfer records has been so poor recently you're due a good window. You could reinvest the money and actually emerge a better side in my opinion.

It's sweet if you think they haven't already been talking to him.

From being so close to being champions, to slippy G slipping, Crystanbul, losing Suarez, Gerrard, CL football and Sterling within 12 months.

Even I couldn't have dreamt it any better tbh.

I think it explains the BBC interview a bit. He's obviously unhappy Liverpool have put out the stories about the money being offered, trying to paint him as a money-grabber in the hope of getting him to sign the contract for less. So he, perhaps misguided by his agent/PR team, tries to clear his name by giving an interview to the BBC and show that he isn't just after the money.

We'll spend it on absolute shite, we always do. Then every Liverpool fan will convince themselves that Danny Ings is ready to help us challenge for top 4.

Cue RAWK labeling him a money grabber even though he'll probably end up on less money than Liverpool are offering.

If he leaves and the replacements are of the likes of Ings, Rodriguez etc then it's very hard to see Coutinho and Sturridge not following in the next year. A proper statement of intent will be required this summer or Liverpool could be massively set back.
