This is a nothing story. He's big news right now so it'll be added to the narrative that surrounds him right now but this has nothing to do with his contract. His ability or where he will play next season. It's just copy to sell tabloids.

Could just be rubbish (most likely given the source) but let's hypothesise.

Does he seem a Mourinho type player at all? To me, not so much. He has workrate and has played at wingback sometimes but he's more a danger man in the final third, where they are pretty stocked. He's also very lightweight and I don't think Mourinho would allow both he and Hazard to play in the same team.

Wenger however has rekindled his interest in English players recently - as well as opening the pursetrings - so I wouldn't rule out Arsenal.

size to strength ratio wise he seems very strong to me. Very tough to knock off the ball. Januzaj is weak, Sterlings biggest weakness is his shooting. Could replace Willianat Chelsea i think.

Arsenal seems logical to me, still think they need a world class striker more though.

Sanchez Ozil Walcott

Behind a class striker would be formidable.l

Sterling lightweight?

He's quite strong. Seen him out muscle Fellaini a few times.

There's no obvious position for him in either team at the moment is there? I do think it is possible he will leave for the right price but would he do it to sit on a bench?

wrt his physique he has that low center of gravity with a good burst of pace, so he can glide through on counters etc. Similar to Hazard in that respect, but not really offering anything on set plays - it's not an all-out strength which leaves you a man light at times. With Hazard (and Oscar as well at times) that could be an issue for Chelsea, I don't think you could have both on the pitch at the same time. If they didn't have Hazard for any reason (RM?) then he could slot in there perhaps (definitely a downgrade though).

With Arsenal it would be easiest to displace Walcott from that trio but it would be a large outlay for the player and he wouldn't be guaranteed to start. Better off spending that £40m+ on a striker.

That was quite bizarre, I have to admit

Doesn't strike me as a Chelsea player unless he is played as a 10 behind Diego Costa.

Matic Fabregas
Willian Sterling Hazard
Costa
At Arsenal, he would naturally find his feet and him and Sanchez as a wing pairing would be magnificent.

Would love to see him at United but I think we are going for Bale.

Arsenal had two scouts watching him at the weekend apparently.

At least if he goes Arsenal he can directly join us in a few years, right?

He could just be buying a new house down there for trips home. He is a Londoner after all.

If he goes I doubt they'd let him go to a top premier league club

I thought it was now widely accepted that players decide where they play, within reason. As he has a short contract, he holds a lot of cards.

Liverpool will get top whack for him though.

Arsenal is probably a good move for him, he'll continue to develop at a higher level and if he reaches his potential he can join one of the Manchester clubs.

He'd be scary under the tutelage of Wenger at Arsenal.
Hoping Liverpool can sell him to Madrid or Bayern. :(

Im actually worried about Sterling going to one of Arsenal, Chelsea or City, I rate him that highly and I think he is going to be up there at a similar level to Hazard in the next few years and any rival having him at there disposal is bad news for us.

Hazard and Sterling or Sanchez and Sterling or Aguero/Silva and Sterling are all scary prospects. Its hard to stop teams with that combination of pacey tricky players.

Even if we could only get Sterling and Schneiderlin this summer, that would be a fantastic transfer window.

And why exactly would he go to that shithole? Arsenal makes somewhat sense because they are in CL but moving from one Europa League club to other inferior EL club just doesn't make any sense imo.
I don't understand why Arsenal would buy an attacker inferior to the ones they already have.

I wouldn't mind Arsenal spaffing away their Annual Big Buy money on Sterling.

I think Liverpool need a striker and we will be letting go several. Not unbelievable to think a cash plus striker deal could appeal to them.
We can always lose Fellaini or Mata (Mata for me) to help cover the outlay. Herrera and Adnan can cover the 10 position.

Clutching at straws, but:

Walcott generally sees himself as a striker. Liverpool need a striker. Sterling would most likely prefer to play for Arsenal than Liverpool. Walcott is a Liverpool fan... Could something happen here?

With Memphis on the way this deal looks really unlikely. Personally I would be happy to lose one of Young, Di Maria, Mata or Januzaj (on loan) if it meant getting Sterling in though.

Not too bothered if Arsenal get him, other than losing out on one of the top English prospects.

Rather him than Bale. With the right move he can be world class. His football intelligence is underrated. As in his good enough to play centre midfield.

I'm sorry, but that's absolutely crazy. Robert Durst, Jeffrey Dahmer crazy.

I think he could end up at any of the top 4, but least likely is us.

Think he will go to City or Arse.

Would be a fantastic signing for either.

Hardly surprising. Why would anyone decent want to stay there?
