I liked Tsushima, but it wasn't up there with the best OWG's. Too much of the usual fetch crap and annoying side quests and collectibles, but there was the basis of a great game. There will no doubt be a sequel and it has the potential to be amazing. Also what they did with fast travel was incredible.
I admitted defeat to the system and owned the bias. Its you behind the curve mate. Its cooler to be self aware now didn't you know. You're only kidding yourself if you want to pretend you're the most impartial person in this thread (or impartial at all, to be honest).

You'll get there bro.

As for the comments about weirdness and comparing to Apple fanboys. We're all spending our free time on a football forum, so we're all a little sad (and to be really reductive, that's also a billion dollar company paying millions to players who (generally) aren't local and don't represent the every man, with us having no material impact on their success).

Anybody who thinks this is more than just people wasting time when they have feck all better to do is suggesting more about the importance they put on this debate than it says about anybody else.

Everybody likes to shit on Xbox, play devil's advocate, snowballs into long term back and forth. Years later when the Mrs is watching shit TV you can talk bollocks about games. Simple as that really.
I'm obviously not impartial, I have a PS5 and not a Series X (though I'll probably get one at some point because some of the games that will be releasing on gamepass are just easier to play lying on a couch) so clearly I'm more invested in one over the other, but I've given plenty of praise to the Series X and especially Gamepass as it's great for me as a PC gamer, is all. I mostly just post about the actual games I play though and usually posts about the two consoles are in spirit of the piss taking that we all do on here.

Also, big feck you in the face, it's better to waste time on a footie forum than on shite social media sites! Embrace it. Plus like 90% of my posts are during work hours or matches so I'll use that as comfort for my sins. Does it make me feel happy? No. Do I rub vaseline on myself at night and cry myself to sleep whilst rolling around on an inflatable bed cause I like the feel of it? Maybe.

You admitted the Xbox had no exclusives and PS was far far better. Nothing has changed in those 3 years.
Xbox didn’t excite me then, correct. But it’s far far more exciting now. Correct. You’re just proving I’m not insane like you Sony fellas.

I've no idea what y'all are talking about but if it had just released on gamepass you and @Alock1 especially would be claiming it's equal to (or better than) Returnal and Rachet no doubt...

It's all starting to make sense now, the money issue. A lot of complaints about paying for things on PS versus not paying for anything on XBox. I get it, I really do. You get quality exclusives on PS, and innovative features and peripherals but if that's not worth it to you then fair enough.

Arrogant Sony hasn't learned since Ken Kutaragi tried to get us to take on an extra job to pay for that PS3 it seems. Luckily, I can deal with it...

It would probably longer if it was on Xbox.

That would be just like MS to go against the developers wishes of "making a rich game world that can be completed in a weekend". They would probably have insisted on some unneeded multiplayer and micro transactions to appeal to the kids.

 this is embarrassing now

Q1 2022, I wouldn’t expect it to be delayed any further. I’ve no doubt that will be a GOTY contender.

I know it's been delayed. It will be a GOTY contender (loved the 1st one). This is why Ragnorak will slip into 2023. Sony will want both games to win a Keighley in each year.

Wait a second...Starfield (EXCLUSIVE - GAME PASS DAY AND DATE) will win next years. ;)

Who gets excited for COD and Halo anymore?

Neither franchise has put out anything decent for about a decade.

This thread is daft anyway. PS5 will always outsell the Xbox. MS need to be more concerned about the Steam Deck seeing as that will allow Gamepass, as well as being a PC so can do all the other stuff too.

It will but that's because the template is the gaming equivalent of Oscar Bait.
  • Strong character who don't need nobody else to save the world
  • Set in an open world
  • Third-person
  • Heavily story-driven
  • Set in a sci-fi or fantasy setting
Look at the past winners, the gaming press eat it up - ://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Game_Award_for_Game_of_the_Year

Not saying it won't be a good game, mind ;)

Hmmm :thinkingsmiley: how much are they?

There's a few of us around...

That's actually a fair point...

I think Microsoft will be more than happy with that...

This is the PS5 vs Xbox thread though, not the MS vs Sony.

MS business model will mean they shift less units as they want Gamepass on phones ffs.

We'll all play Starfield, and all 5 people on here with Xboxes can play it there while the rest of us play it on PC, or Samsung Smart Fridges.

Nah, they'd just give the studio the money and time to make the game they wanted.

Pricey still, any specs equivalent to current XBox and at what price?

What you playing at the moment?

Spec wise the Xbox blows it out of the water. But it's aimed more at portable gaming with the option of docking it for other purposes. The Deck will probably play Starfield on medium settings but due the size of the screen you'll hardly notice a difference.

I probably would have grabbed an Xbox eventually but already having a PC and eventually a Steam Deck the reasons for getting an Xbox are getting fewer and fewer.

I think I'll end up going the xCloud route and just use it like Netflix, Amazon Prime etc... Sign up when it has things I like, ignore it when it hasn't, like now for example. Will be another sub to keep track of but this is life nowadays...

Xbox is the gaming arm of Microsoft. When I load up the app on my pc to play gamepass games the logo says Xbox. The same will be true for tablets, smart phones and the steam deck if it runs there. My monthly subscription goes to Xbox.
