The pro consoles are always fairly niche products anyway so it's not a massive deal. I dont see why anyone would buy one at that price, would need a price drop and some of the hyped next gen games to come out, like Wolverine and Phantom Blade.
Yeah the price is silly. But I’d only consider it in 2- 3 years time when the base console is unable to run GTA 6 for example at 60fps.

I think that's my biggest issue with the PS5 Pro. I bought the PS4 Pro as the PS4 began to struggle with some games. The difference is that it really doesn't feel as though the PS5 has been pushed yet by many games.

I appreciate th=at the PS5 Pro will let you play at 4k @ 60fps – which is cool. But that feels like what the PS5 should have been able to do...and what was almost promised as being what this gen was about.

What a shit generation of gaming. The 2 consoles have been a let down in my opinion and the Switch needs its update asap.

The rise of handheld gaming pc’s (Steam deck etc) is the shining light of the last few years in my opinion.

They marketed 8k and 120fps!

4k @ 60fps? No.

4k @ 20fps? Maybe.

But then, we all know that these machines don't actually get close to those render resolutions. It's all kinds of cool (NERD!) trickery. But even the "pro" is still a glorified gaming laptop and won't match up to current technology. That why they use terms like "advanced" when it comes to basic level Ray Tracing, and throwing in the old AI thing as if that's going to make an actual difference* other than people thinking it's cool because...AI is the most awesomist buzzword around.

*It does make a difference, again in a slightly cool way, but also again is about rendering trickery which allows them to boast "4K!!!! 8K!!!! 10000000k!!!!!!" whilst not even getting close when all is said and done.
