I saw plenty of conspiracy theories about what happened/didnt happen at the White House last night. Will be interesting to get to the bottom of it.
Yep, quite difference response from those who are just innocently walking along and the cops throw them to the grown.
However, it was nice to see in a video that people handed him over to the cops, even though they gave him a bit of a hiding first.
Although, from that short vid, looked like those cops were told to just hold the line and not do anything proactively for a change. (not saying that is the case though, just speculating)
I just wanted to see if there was a sentence that can’t somehow be contrived to paint me as ignorant towards systemic racism.
It's around 9.45am in DC right now and the ground does look like there was action the night before. It's most likely true and the scene will start filling up again before midday.

And I absolutely do. Of course it does.I also believe that two wrongs won’t change a white. it needs to be sustained, targeted education that last months and years not days and weeks. I’m fed up of sharing a post and asking others to do the same as being seen as making a difference. Systemic change needs to be drummed into people every day until it changes. any reaction to the riots right now will be done to limit the effect of the riots, not to actually change the system. these people will need to be on the streets protesting months from now having done so every single day, if they wish to see positive change. We are a humanity of short term fixes, who’ll happily wear a wristband saying make poverty history then swap it for a watch made by people stuck in poverty.
i have no issue with it at all, I just want it to actually change this time.

I wasn’t mocking. I do believe that some of the calling out is over the top, and again, education is required so that you can turn someone who says “all lives matter” into someone who understands “all lives should matter but the evidence suggests they don’t, what can I do to help” instead of calling them a silent racist.
Seen videos of Jon ‘bones’ Jones taking spray cans of protestors, could you imagine if you didn’t know who he was an said “ go feck yourself”....

Apples and oranges. The person in your example went to prison and therefore received some form of sanction for their actions. When called out about his disgusting penchant for wearing blackface on the campaign trail in 2019, Justin Trudeau pivoted to black rifles and we never spoke about blackface again.
