Yeah he sure is going through difficult times up in that rooftop, asking for a donation an all, but hey, America also going through difficult times."the world is going through difficult times...and america too actually"
I don't have the same issue? I use Chrome on my mobile if that helps.Urgh the auto play of those reddit videos are a pain!
That made me laugh. Jesus!"the world is going through difficult times...and america too actually"
On my mobile it's fine too, it's when I'm on my Desktop it goes all crazy.I don't have the same issue? I use Chrome on my mobile if that helps.

Edit: with a net worth of 75mill dollars, the struggle is real.
Thanks for that, didn't know. Aside from that, yeah the less said about this video the better, I think. To be fair, just to defend him a LITTLE here. The donation was for COVID relief charities. He's raised £403k apparently.
It looks like a Sacha Baron Cohen bit.
It's not the outcome that matters but rather the intention. Fair play for raising half a Mil.To be fair, just to defend him a LITTLE here. The donation was for COVID relief charities. He's raised £403k apparently.
Likely done in good faith but if we see more of this then I think it will slowly dilute the power of this protest.Maybe the most cringeworthy thing I ever seen.

I’m not seeing any scheduled where I’m at, so maybe the smaller cities will calm down. The large cities and hotspots of Minneapolis, Louisville, and Atlanta will probably still see some action.Do people think there will be more demonstrations tonight?
1. When was the last time that happened? With media, its probably been recent but it feels like its been a "while", thankfully.1) Im genuinely surprised that there havent been any mass shootings from this yet. It only takes 1-2 nutcases to instigate something like that.
2) I really wonder if they will try to breach the White House. It would be an incredibly powerful statement.

Something massive has to take part like the protests in the states during Vietnam war your right. When all this initial rage is over there should be friendly protests for weeks or months with mass gatherings.Likely done in good faith but if we see more of this then I think it will slowly dilute the power of this protest.
We had f*cking cos-players appearing yesterday and I'm just thinking this is so not the time for jokes, even little ones. My anger towards those Batman,Joker and Cpt America cos-players strutting around thinking this is all some f*cking ass parade grew after re-watching Killer Mike's powerful and firey heart pounding press conference speech.
Read.The.F*cking.Room. If you're not going to take this seriously get out of the f*ck out of it.
Now,there's a brilliant documentary on Netflix regarding the Vietnam war and I was instantly gripped by the protesting and the sheer wil those people displayed in getting their message across to the GOV. It was raw, long and relentless. Now, do these protesters have the same stamina if they cant get the rightful answers and action they want ? We'll see.
I'm sure as hell hope they do. Its is going to be hard as heck and more help is needed but they ,and everyone who wants, have to make history now!
Rant over.
That would probably do it.1) Im genuinely surprised that there havent been any mass shootings from this yet. It only takes 1-2 nutcases to instigate something like that.

The majority of the police is on their side, why bother ?Anyone else surprised the gun toting Trumpites haven’t got more involved? Could be scary if they do.
Thoughts on protests where there’s no (recent) history of any kind of police brutality?
Dublin city centre is currently thronged with BLM protesters. All very peaceful but obviously not great in the middle of a pandemic. Especially when we know how street parades have been attributed as a big factor in the horrendous second wave of Spanish flu.
I think it’s good to show solidarity but - in a country like Ireland - surely we need to find a way to do that without taking to the streets?
Any chance ye could piss off home, lads?
Those people become figureheads of movements after the fact. You don't wait around for someone to lead, movements are won by movement. Leaders come out of it organically.Trouble is there is no MLK’s about to guide them I really hope someone emerges and leads, but that probably won’t happen..
...and that the third being a negro named John Punch shall serve his said master or his assigns for the time of his natural Life here or elsewhere.
[Black Americans had for more than a century before been regarded as beings of an inferior order, and altogether unfit to associate with the white race, either in social or political relations; and so far inferior, that they had no rights which the white man was bound to respect.
The end of federal interference in southern affairs led to widespread disenfranchisement of blacks voters. From the late 1870s onward, southern legislatures passed a series of laws requiring the separation of whites from “persons of color” on public transportation, in schools, parks, restaurants, theaters and other locations. Known as the “Jim Crow laws” (after a popular minstrel act developed in the antebellum years), these segregationist statutes governed life in the South through the middle of the next century, ending only after the hard-won successes of the civil rights movement in the 1960s
They seem satisfied cheering Trump's law and order bellowing & the police/NG online so far. Unless some things have happened off the radar?Anyone else surprised the gun toting Trumpites haven’t got more involved? Could be scary if they do.

It’s going to be incredibly hard to change a mindset of a country and that’s why I mentioned Obama earlier in the thread they need some kind of voice, leadership, that’s passionate about change. Trouble is there is no MLK’s about to guide them I really hope someone emerges and leads, but that probably won’t happen..
I disagree. The only thing they will achieve from their protests about a hideous crime commited in another continent will be increased death and misery in their cities caused by their recklessness in spreading the virus. There has to be more sensible ways for people not directly affected by the death of George Floyd to show their solidarity. It’s bad timing with the pandemic but otherwise a great move in my opinion. While the centre of all this is the US it’s something that affects the world, plus the world showing solidarity on the state of the police there is a huge point being made.
No, they’ve not been hit. It crossed this guy’s mind though...Hey @Carolina Red do you know if the plantations have been attacked?
I visited the Magnolia one last year, and it is a beautiful place, but also a whitewashing scheme. It's like a Disneyland + slavery history place all in one. Super expensive as well. Every ride or tour is charged separately.
I was kinda Ok with it, until I find out that the owners are the same people who had the slaves. I thought that it was state owned by now, donated or something. But no... the fecker are still profiting on slavery.
When I left I felt like an idiot for paying them like 500 dollars. (Did saw a nice bald eagle, so I guess only for that it was worth it)
I wish people went to burn that shit down instead of small local shops.
People need to drop this. No one goes outside to protest if what happens doesn't resonate. These are civil rights protests. It isn't solely about one person dying in another country.crime commited in another continent
Wow, that's crazy.Hey @Carolina Red do you know if the plantations have been attacked?

I really hope so this is something that shouldn’t just fizzle out after a few weeks when the movement has already begun, it’s now when a leader should emerge. I’d absolutely love it to be Obama because he has global appeal, but I also don’t think he will do it.Those people become figureheads of movements after the fact. You don't wait around for someone to lead, movements are won by movement. Leaders come out of it organically.
He's a significant part of the problem. Ask black americans in flint.I’d absolutely love it to be Obama because he has global appeal
The gun nuts are too busy defending the second amendment to care about protecting the first.1) Im genuinely surprised that there havent been any mass shootings from this yet. It only takes 1-2 nutcases to instigate something like that.

Most of his supporters were wearing riot gear and using mace over the last couple of days.Anyone else surprised the gun toting Trumpites haven’t got more involved? Could be scary if they do.
