Protests following the killing of George Floyd

Its a shit situation all round. But if protestors are blocking the car and preventing the driver from going anywhere, what exactly is their recourse here? It seemed like the driver revved aggressively to get the protesters to move out of the way - which worked - so took the opportunity to get the feck out of there.

The cops should have prevented the initial situation, but they arent wrong for then preventing the protesters from enacting mob justice either. The videos dont go on long enough to see if the cops then actually arrest/warn the driver, so it is unclear.

Maybe not to run them over?

it's bewildering how libs can share an MLK quote then parrot the obvious 80% lie from the police 5 minutes later, there are protests and riots across the country ffs

The most dangerous man in America strikes once again.

Roid rage cnuts.
You might be onto something , it's normally the beefed up bone heads being the most violent. If a few of them were more braver they could rush the pigs.

Poor chaps from Fox News not feeling the love from BLM protestors. Reporter is so panicked, he dogwhistles 'Muslim Brotherhood' for blame and reference (@ 1min 01sec).

By the time Trump & Barr are finished, George Floyd will have been a white pastor shot by MLK.

So just wait in the car whilst being surrounded and seemingly shouted out by protesters indefinitely? I can understand the driver thinking about self preservation. As I said, they revved the engine initially, which it is reasonable to think was to disperse some of the protesters to so that he/she could drive away safely.

This is incredibly stupid and those who attended are simple minded arseholes.
I wouldn’t say they’re arseholes, it does seem a bit odd but they’re only showing their support for racism. Which is fine with me.

Their act will have no effect on the situation in America. The only thing they will achieve is spread COVID in London with their wrecklessness.

They do seem to be very close together, but a sure these recent events run deep within the black community and they need some kind of way to vent..

They can vent whilst not endangering the lives of others who are unfortunate enough to live with or have to interact with them. They're arseholes.

I can feel the empathy from here..

I hate Fox as anyone, but I don't think this is a proper behavior. Not cause I care that much for Fox (they deserve whatever they get), but this legitimizes this type of behaviour, and essentially makes possible to treat media like dirt from whoever has the force. I've seen journos from CNN and other media being offended and verbally abused in Trump meetings from MAGA crowd, but not this type of behavior of physically attacking journos.

I've been pretty consistent in my views towards those who actively choose to spread the virus. Cheltenham, Bournemouth beach, this protest - all arseholes.

Anyone listening to Trump at the SpaceX thingy?

Started well, before going on blaming ANTIFA for everything and saying that riots are a disgrace for George's memory.

"'Space: the final countdown'. There's a lotta space in space. Not many people know that. Even I don't know that, and nobody knows more about ignorance than me. Anyways, space - in China."

You don't remember the Montana congressman bodyslamming a reporter and Fox having a chuckle about it? Trump and the GOP have spread the message that reporters are the enemy and these actions will just become more and more normalised.

I met Leonard Nimoy once. Great guy. Noboday likes Star Trek as much as me. May the force be with you

"And I think back to the moon landing and I feel close to it You know, when I visited the black neighbourhoods in new York to check on my fathers substandard housing, that was my own personal moon landing.

Trump said:
“The memory of George Floyd is being dishonored by rioters, looters and anarchists. The violence and vandalism is being led by Antifa and other radical left-wing groups who are terrorizing the innocent, destroying jobs, hurting businesses and burning down victims."

F*ck off.

Wow, been watching the protests across the US on CNN. America's going to hell.
