Whenever someone calls something Electric Boogaloo, they're probably referencing It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which was referencing some 80s movie. However, the boogaloo is something else.

No single ordinary person should be condemning these protests. Protests like this don't happen when the system works, it happens when the majority of people within a system have had enough of being ignored and treated like shit. Now is the time for people of all races to realise that they have more in common with each other than they do with the people in power and do what is needed to demand change. I can't think of one moment in history where real change didn't come from mass protest.

The real facade that is bring highlighted here is the idea of 'democracy' when the governing class represent a minority of 'important' people over the majority.

I always thought that "boogaloo" came with "electric" though, I thought it was just "electric boogaloo", I never knew "boogaloo" was used by itself.

How have I said the word "boogaloo" so much in so little time...
 
Anyone else disappointed not to see any petrol bombs thrown, I mean who are these rioters down right amateurs!

I have always assumed it came from Always Sunny but always felt it strange they had such reach. The more you learn...

God no I think I've seen enough of them in my lifetime. It does strangely make me think of how far Ireland has come since the troubles and, even though there are certainly issues still there, how nice it is presently. Vital to remember that this was only possible by both sides sitting down to work out the problems which is what I think these protests are really aimed at doing.
 
It won’t be on the scale of other protests, but when Okies are protesting like this for something in Minnesota the shit has officially hit the fan. These cats started in one of the busiest restaurant/shopping districts, shut down one of the busiest highways, then tried to march on the mayor’s house (...he wasn’t home).

It’s just funny somebody posted a video of the police hitting some guys with batons and I thought it was an average Saturday night in NI..
 
Smartphones and social media in a free country is making this the most significant mass protest in history.
This is nuts. Anyone know how you defuse this situation?

That Angela woman is a Trump supporter who's followers mostly seem to be right-wing white women going on about how it's the left that are the real racists.
 
At somepoint the police who generally care will give up and join the side of the protestors. What’s going to be a left is a minority group of racist bigots.
They talk about a second civil war but what do they think is actually going to happen? The world will stand by and let the US enslave black people again?
