"White Privilege does not mean your life is not hard. It means the colour of your skin is not something making it harder" basically implying what @Thats'sHernandez has said.

This was quote was written on a poster stuck by someone today on property we are renovating.

It does get mentioned a lot, yes. Not necessarily by police officers themselves but often in this type of discussion when allies of policing are trying to justify why an officer went too far.

yea sadly some do. It is and can be dangerous, but I remind people that the majority of on-the-job injuries and deaths are from traffic collisions, not from being killed by suspects.
 
It may not be the most dangerous but the stress levels are through the roof, psychological problems, substance abuse, domestic abuse amongst other things.

I wouldn't do it and I do admire those who do it well.

I find it really weird that these "patriotic" people love the confederate flag which literally represents an enemy of the state. I don't know whether they are just proud of their racist heritage or just dumb fecks who have no clue of their own country's history.

My point is pretty simple. Anyone can post a load of twitter articles without any real insight or bothering to look into them. When I asked him to share his views he went off on a childish rant which confirmed my suspicion that he knew feck all.

I suppose he’s working hard to try to appease the cops, and others that wouldn’t like de-funding, so it looks like he’s proposing to give more money to said cops.

There is no appeasing them. Well, the money will help, but they’ll come for more once that $300m is spent.

Willy was not a likeable person beyond bringing light to racism in motorsport (when you watch the doco you can see why he rubbed people the wrong way), but bloody hell he had some balls doing what he did at that time.
