Wolverhampton Wanderers 2:0 Manchester United

Post-match discussion

Cowards, I despise these players. 48 years I’ve followed United and this bunch are gutless. They play for likes and their brand. I wish we could just show 95% of them the door.

Disgraceful all round. This new system ain’t it. Or the old system. Throw caution to wind and start playing on the front foot. 442 or something. Hoyland (spelt wrong) isn’t the man to lead the line alone. He needs someone else up there.

I’m struggling to remember in the last 40 years watching us when we conceded direct off a corner. Probably a couple I suppose. But twice in a week! feck me sideways.

INEOS have made the club worst at all level.
They are as clueless concerning football, business minded and stingy as the Glazers.

Can't really blame the ref much, we've been shite in previous game and same today with Bruno on the pitch. A second half collapse was coming whatever.

This is still Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw’s Manchester United. We’ve sold or released all of the scapegoats, sacked Solskjaer, sacked Ten Hag, but nothing will change until the players at the forefront, who do not deserve their status at the club, are out of the dressing room. Now you’ll come for Mainoo the same way you came for every other player who couldn’t and should not have been asked to overcome the disfunction and lack of professionalism allowed to fester at this club. It was the same under Solskjaer and Ten Hag, and it will be the same under Amorim if these absolute frauds are still around. How tf can someone with even a poor understanding of team sports still blame the manager and other players?!

Bruno cannot be captain. He has thrown the team under the bus today.

Onana is at fault for that first goal. He has to show more command of his area.

I would honestly give Heaton a go. It is that bad.

The players we have are either nowhere near good enough, or too lazy to utilise their talents. Its been this way for the last few years. No matter what any manager does the team doesn't respond. Genuinely I think there are maybe 3-4 players in our squad who deserve to be at the club.

Very very sad to watch, not just the lack of quality but the lack of fight from this team.

Vast majority of the players are pathetic. They are paid massive amounts of money and they have a responsibility to at the very least work hard.

The travelling fans deserve much better than that. Seeing players strolling around the pitch with very or little purpose is a disgrace.

I hate most of them, i really do

Another frustrating night. First half we were average, most of the possession but not much else. Then 2nd starts in worst possible way with team captain getting his 3rd red card of the season. We actually played decent aftewards given the circumstances but my God that goal. How is it possible to concede goals directly from corner in two of last 3 games? Genuinely how is that possible?

I just hope we don't get into relegation battle as I can see that happening now. It's been so poor since the start of last season that it's getting too difficult to watch the games.

Even with plenty of possession, most of the times we don't look like scoring and always concede (at least) 1-2. I'm scared to watch next few games with Newcastle's current form and Liverpool in first. Sad times.
Dominated by Wolves ffs. We are shite.

It wasn’t ten Hag. It won’t be Amorim. Gaaaah.
I'm as frustrated as much as you but we didn't get dominated by Wolves. They were lucky Bruno was being an idiot and that we conceded another goal directly from a corner. Gifted another team 3 points. United players took the role of Santa this winter it seems.

Going spare with this team. Absolutely shocking result to go along with the collection we are accumulating this season and particularly the Christmas period which does make it feel a little worse. Only listened to the game on the radio, but sounded as if we were 2nd best in the first half but in the game and then threw it away in the 2nd in typical fashion.

There’s a running trend of imploding in the first 15min of the 2nd half. There’s something not right in the players’ heads if they aren’t ready to play. It’s a joke the goals we are conceding from set pieces as well, the goal Onana has conceded is one in 5 years but it’s now 2 in a week which is alarming. What I’m fearing is this is a snow ball effect created by a crisis in confidence, which is compounded every week.

Amorim got the team wrong again for me. Never need to play with 5 defenders unless you are playing to see put a game in the final 5min. He needed to have a more offensive player on the flanks like Antony or Garnacho to give us more of a threat.

Must be a record of some sort. I can't think of a time it happened to any team. Amateur stuff.

It won’t be instant. Let’s see next yesr

We have always had a good amount of talent, it has for me been a matter of attitude and unity that has lacked throughout a lot the padt few years. This has been everpresent in 2024 and I don't see this changing under Amorim until some drastic changing of the squad.

Call it a rubbish post again, but hard to see how this is worse than other times we have been in.

Interesting that you say the scapegoats are gone before going on to scapegoat 4 others

Both teams were bad when it was 11v11. Ref was abit heavy handed early on and seem to card is easy than them.

Players need to learn quickly and understand the situation. The ref wasn’t on our side so no need to rush in rash tackles.

It’s obvious Amad was being marked out and doubled up on but our other players don’t have the ability to carry the attack.

Bad performance from the players, they can’t adapt to it. Some players will be shipped out come summer.

Yes, clown behavior by him.
His body language is depressing to watch. He exudes no confidence and is incapable of instilling any positivity on the squad he's supposed to be inspiring. All I'll ever want to do is give up if I have someone like him to look at for inspiration.

It feels like this is the worst squad we've had for a long long time and the amount of money we've spent on this squad is embarrassing

Honestly best not to get invested in this side any more.

I had a think about it and if you were to ask me for a genuine reason to like this club as it is right now, I couldn't give you one.

The squad is an embarrassment. Paid fifty times as much as they deserve and serve up shite week-in-week-out. The new owner is a horrible, greedy cnut hellbent on punishing everyone but those actually responsible for the shite you see on the pitch. That while he sits on untold millions as well. The stadium is a rat-infested dump, and a good majority of the matches are unwatchable fecking garbage.

We're the biggest laughing stock in world football without a shadow of a doubt. Any time I try to watch us and actually care about it rather than just for a laugh, I just end up annoyed.

I absolutely commend anybody on here who still turns up to the games at this point because I sure as shite know I'd have given up by now.

That this has been allowed to happen at a club that has always had exemplary on-pitch leadership standards for decades is absolutely criminal.

I'd go with the latter.
Nope. Not all opinions have value. Not all opinions should be heard.

When NASA launch a rocket into space, they don't consult my opinion or invite "vox pop" opinions because they're of no value whatsoever. One qualified opinion is worth more than 1,000,000,000 stupid, unqualified opinions.

The idea that all opinions are valid and should be heard equally is one of the biggest blights on modern society

Sorry but that's a load of bollocks
It’s really not. You need Physicality (strength, speed, endurance). Mentality (intelligence, anticipation, resilience). Quality (technique, ball striking, etc.) To be elite you need elite levels of all 3 areas. To be good minimum of 2. Name an 11 of United’s current team who have elite levels in 2 categories.

Because I am a glass half full kind of person, and I’m struggling to name an 11 where they tick even 1 box. This is a poor squad. And to boot some of them want out as well. So whatever they may have had in terms of drive is gone. We’re in trouble.

That's generally what most people want now isn't it? Everyone just seems to ignore people who don't think exactly the same way as them. Nobody actually wants debate anymore
Personally I want free debate. I don’t care how ludicrous I think an opinion might be on here. I can laugh something off and move on.
