He had first bad match this season. There are not many keepers who play entire season perfectly, especially in a team that sits at the bottom half of a league. De Gea certainly was not one of those perfect keepers, he would have 2-3 horrible games even in seasons he was player of the season. At this point I don't care. Onana cannot be trusted and in that position, you need someone you can trust.
For the 2nd game running Rashford and Zirkzee totally disinterested.Perhaps the most disappointing thing is we didn't even look like scoring an equaliser in the last half hour.
The Keeper is supposed to be in charge there. He calls for it or yells for it to be awayThat third goal. Yikes. How did Onana, De Ligt and Martinez contrive to not clear that off the line.
Not a Forest player in sight. Someone, please, for the love of God, take responsibility and clear it!
Half of this squad needs to be sold and it is the truth. Antony, Casemiro, Eriksen, Lindeloft, Rashford, Dalot, Shaw, Malacia, Sancho, Bruno, Onana, Mount ( I don't know what does he bring) Hoijund and Garnacho are not starting XI material. Ineos and Amorim has a huge job to move these players out where 50% was bought by ETH.
True, but I’d have been happy for any of the three to take charge. Maybe the slow motion replay is deceiving, just looks like either one of them could have kept it out.The Keeper is supposed to be in charge there. He calls for it or yells for it to be away
Is Garnacho an idiot? He's just got into the changing room!
True true. We are just so fragile when things aren’t going our way.True, but I’d have been happy for any of the three to take charge. Maybe the slow motion replay is deceiving, just looks like either one of them could have kept it out.
I did too. Very disappointing.
Proves how pointless stats are reallyBasic 2nd half stats
Goals - United 1 Forest 2
Shots on goal - United 10 Forest 5
Shots on target - United 3 Forest 2
Passes - United 298 Forest 127
Yeah, maybe Ugarte I was being harsh on, the rest however...Mostly agree.
We're broke, largely thanks to Ten Hag, so he can't really complain about us not going into the marketYes. I hate to admit this. Ten Haag was a terrible fit for the Premier League, but the issues he had with some players were legitimate, Garnacho being one of them. The problem for United, is that as a club, we hide behind our youth culture to protect rubbish. The last few years should have taught us one valuable lesson which Fergie made quite clear, as a youngster you have to be good enough. The same Fergie who brought through Giggs, Scholes, Nev, Becks and Butt, also sold Greening and Savage. The same manager sold Bellion and didn't really develop in youngsters from within the club's academy after Darren Fletcher. A developing youngster should never be an excuse not to go into the market.
You are truly unserious. Was the manager in charge of the cheque book or the Glazers with their idiot negotiators? We're broke, largely thanks to Ten Hag, so he can't really complain about us not going into the market
All at sea first 20 minutes of second half most of the back 5. Yoro and Martinez consistently got the distances wrong whilst Dalot was defending the wing like a wingback in a 4. Rather than pouncing in and directly harassing anyone attempting to cross. To top it all this was the day Onana finally had a bad day at the office. That third goal. Yikes. How did Onana, De Ligt and Martinez contrive to not clear that off the line.
Not a Forest player in sight. Someone, please, for the love of God, take responsibility and clear it!
You're right, he had zero knowledge of how much his targets would cost and he couldn't have predicted how they'd perform at United because he'd never worked with any of them before. Completely absolved of blame. You are truly unserious. Was the manager in charge of the cheque book or the Glazers with their idiot negotiators?
I repeat. Is it he who negotiated 80m for antony. 60m for Mount. Or the Glazers and their negotiators? You're right, he had zero knowledge of how much his targets would cost and he couldn't have predicted how they'd perform at United because he'd never worked with any of them before. Completely absolved of blame.
He continued to push for them knowing we would pay that price.I repeat. Is it he who negotiated 80m for antony. 60m for Mount. Or the Glazers and their negotiators?
Chris Wood did nothing for Forest really except score. Same as Rasmus. He was not as effective as you think. De Ligt and Maguire bullied him aerially. We are far too pedestrian in the build up. Infuriating to watch.
Watching De Ligt with the ball at his feet is like watching grass grow.
Onana is completely useless. Makes far more howlers than decent saves.
Dalot is impotent in attack and has no redeeming qualities.
Mainoo has gone into his shell this season.
Hojlund is not good enough to lead the line. Even Chris Wood looked better than him today.
What is the point of Mount? He has brought nothing to the team.
Rashy made 0 impact and the sooner we get his wages off the accounts the better.
Nottingham were just here to waste time today after getting their quick fire goal. They didn’t test the keeper at all apart from their weak attempts at goal which we should’ve kept out.
Amorim really needs to give the squad both barrels. Simply not good enough.
Bullshit. There is literally no serious controller of purse strings who pays 80m for Antony and 60m for a year left Mount. 70m for an 11 games Hoijlund. To try to pretend that level of incompetence was down to "manegerial pressure" is criminal. He continued to push for them knowing we would pay that price.
Can't have your cake and eat it.
Managers don't set transfer fees or how much money any player should get in weekly wages. You are truly unserious. Was the manager in charge of the cheque book or the Glazers with their idiot negotiators?
Mainoo Rasmus Yoro Amad Maz. We have some good players. Martinez and Dalot have been absolute garbage this season, Bruno was poor again. Amorim needs to fraud check the squad and add some fecking balls to these eunuchs.
He wasn't bad but he wasn't good either. Had some good moments and some bad moments. So he was average.Thought Rashford was decent so that's a positive I suppose. Bruno sub was odd, did Ruben say anything about it?
I think the point is that the structure in place was (hopefully not now) awful. ETH would have identified those players but the club should have said no as soon as those prices were quoted. You're right, he had zero knowledge of how much his targets would cost and he couldn't have predicted how they'd perform at United because he'd never worked with any of them before. Completely absolved of blame.
No. 80% of these players are his signings or academy promotions. There are only 7 players who don't fit that description being Maguire, Amad, Rashford, Shaw, Dalot, Lindelof and Bruno.Maybe I was too harsh on Ten Hag?
What are you talking about? Hojlund had only 2 shots this game and scored from one of them. I do think that he could have done better with making different runs than he did but he didn't waste chances. The result doesnt tell the story of the game, we looked better than we did against Arsenal but the attack was clueless at times and the Forest goals all came from poor defensive errors.
With the chances we created we should have had 4 or 5 goals and a decent striker would have had a hattrick at least from the chances we made for Hojlund in this match.
It shows how far we have fallen when we were the home team and Morgan Gibbs-White is on the tv saying Forest are disappointed to have conceeded 2 goals.
Just letting him start the season was enough to signal to everyone that the season doesn't really matter. So it's no surprise morale is at rock bottom.
