I think it is too early for a Switch announcement.
I feel likewise given the "2018 or later" timeframe being put on the game but at the same time currently (as we have yet to have a Nintendo Direct in 2018) I feel that Nintendo are missing a blockbuster release in the vein of BoTW/SMO for Christmas 2018. Of games we know are coming Bayo 3/Metroid 4 wouldn't have the mass appeal of a Mario/Zelda, a Smash 4 port probably would not sell great either (and there's no indication Smash 5 is in development) and while popular I don't think Fire Emblem could carry the holiday solo either.I think it is too early for a Switch announcement.
I actually read a rumour today that there might be a completely new Super Smash Bros. in development. Release this year.(and there's no indication Smash 5 is in development)
Well, anyone who doesn't care for either of them. Pikachu might have better exclusives too.If it turns out to be true anyone who buys pikachu over eevee is an idiot.

It's said to be a remake of Kanto, maybe just revisiting the region on a new story with more pokemon. What could we expect from those then? Something comparable to the main series from the handheld consoles?
I would love an HD version of Kanto, imagine flying around on a Chrizard or a Pidgeot.Maybe not a straight remake and more of a sequel like Black & White 2 and Ultra.
Eevee has a really weird creepy autistic following, I have noticed, all things relative.
When was the last main Kanto game, was it 2004? (I know they released the Johto remakes in the 2010s)It's said to be a remake of Kanto, maybe just revisiting the region on a new story with more pokemon.
Yes, Firered, not sure if they released any after, I also read somewhere this will have a touch of Pokemon go in it, hopefully that's false. When was the last main Kanto game, was it 2004? (I know they released the Johto remakes in the 2010s)

They released the originals on the virtual console for the 3DS last year i think.Yes, Firered, not sure if they released any after, I also read somewhere this will have a touch of Pokemon go in it, hopefully that's false.
Nope, I think I remember hearing it mentioned briefly a couple of years ago though!Interesting! Did you ever play that fan game Pokémon Generations? I'd love a proper game of that one day.
A bit random but I was listening/watching this today:
& then all this comes out. I can't help but think I'm partly responsible for it all. It's not that farfetch'd (I made a Poképun), is it?
I may be wrong but I think they've gone back to working on the game. If you're a Pokémon fan I'd definitely recommend checking it out.Nope, I think I remember hearing it mentioned briefly a couple of years ago though!
Haha yes you might be right, you should listen to covers of video game related music more often
I completely misread that. I read it as a pokémon game coming out in a gaming genre they haven't done before, not an individual Pokémon! I guess that's the cue for me to get some sleep.I'm pretty sure the new Pokemon will be a Normal type Eeveelution. Either that or they bring in Gorochu.
I wouldn't be surprised if Donkey Kong makes an appearance at E3!I may be wrong but I think they've gone back to working on the game. If you're a Pokémon fan I'd definitely recommend checking it out.
As for video game music, I listen to that so much already! If only these powers worked for Donkey Kong
As someone who prefers the more traditional experience and competitive side of the games, I'm still really excited for this. The only gripe I have thus far is that apparently there are no wild battles, you just run into the Pokémon you can see on the overworld and go straight to the capture screen. I'm hopeful that this isn't true, as leveling up will be more difficult unless you can either: Re-battle every in-game trainer as often as you like, or, use Stardust/Candy like in GO to raise CP. Although, I think (hope) that the fact you can see CP on the Switch games is just an indicator of the CP it will have on GO if you decided to send it there.
Also hoping there is a patch early next year that allows you to send everything from 3DS games.
Not too sure what to make of it. Lack of wild battles and strong Go influence are concerning, but the game as a whole looks great.
