Ohhh that set is so nice, I've managed to steer clear of the old stuff so far but all the neo stuff is so nice. I feel you on the binder too, I'm maxed out at the moment with about another half binders worth of EX cards to stick in.

Wish I'd never got back into this :lol:

Neos are also superb, I'd recommend collecting them in Japanese as they're relatively cheap, especially Neo 1 and 2 booster packs even which are guaranteed holo's in. Or you can pick up partial/complete sets on ebay for pretty cheap too.

Oh, lovely stuff. I'll have to check it out at some point because currently all I own for 3DS is X and Sun and there are games I don't want to drop money on without trying first.
 
Shining legends releases today. Throwback to Neo Destiny and the shining cards. Set looks super cool.

Nah if it was the American version with 2 more packs and a playmat I would but I’m just gonna buy the promos separately I think. I’ve opened a couple of pin packs and a few ETB’s though...

The second Mewtwo is awesome. The rainbow Ho-Oh looks really good, too.

Yeah it’s sick and I’m pretty happy because the centering and quality of it compared to lots of others I’ve pulled is really good. Some of those GX cards are so off center is silly. The Ho-Oh come in the elite trainer box as a promo, but the Rayquaza are my favourite.

And Guardians Rising triple packs were cheap in Tesco for a while and I got some mad luck from them, 6 Secret Rares and some of those GX cards are doubled up

Yeah 100% real, they’ve just had centering issues recently, it’s been a problem with lots of the GX cards since Sun & Moon series cards tbh!

I have got some Japanese full art pikachu promos and some 1st Edition fossil cards teed up to get graded though.

I recently purchased the entire gym challenge set. Amazing but expensive. Old cards are quite simply the best.

I bought some Korean cards too; super cheap, same art work, but poor card quality.
 
Just got into bed and haven't played Pokemon Go much lately but there's a Charizard raid around the corner ending in 20mins. What do I do? Will I easily be able to get one?

Charizard will need more than just you. Probably at least another 2 players of a decent level.

If you're planning on doing raids, try to find a local Pokemon Go group on your social media of choice. I use a facebook group. They will typically arrange meetups at specific times to take the raids. Mostly the groups are interested in level 4 (such as Tyranitar and Alakazam) and level 5 (legendaries), but once you meet a couple of people they'll probably help you out on the lower level if you don't have those pokemon.

Level 1 and 2 raids (if you're above level 25 or so) are doable solo. I've seen a level 40 player take down a Vaporeon solo, but there's no way I would be able to, and I'm level 31.
 
Raids are a bit unbalanced at the moment if you don't know other people who play. I personally find that that the different between Rank 2 and Rank 3 is quite crazy, to the point where I could smash any Rank 2 incredibly easily, but at the moment (even being Lv.33 with quite a lot of good stuff) I'd have no chance at any Rank 3 Raid solo. I've even teamed up with a friend to try things like Vaporeon but couldn't defeat it when he's past Lv.26 as well - you really need good counters to the Pokémon as well as more than one person.

Apparently once you're Lv.38+ with a strong team, any Rank 3 is possible solo except Flareon. I'm not sure how credible this claim is any more as it was a couple of months ago when I read that, and it's a little surprising considering how many strong Water/Ground/Rock Pokémon there are. Perhaps it's mostly down to Tyranitar not having a quick Rock move.

In other news, is anyone looking forward to Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon?

When they were first announced, I was just like "oh..." as I didn't really enjoy Sun & Moon that much. However, as time as gone on and more information has come out, I'm getting very interested. It looks like they've added so much more content. Hopefully it isn't as hard to go back to 3DS from Switch as I expect it to be.
 
I wasn’t hyped for the Ultra games but I’m absolutely going to get it anyway because I’m a fiend.

I said I wasn’t gonna but I ended up getting Ultra Sun. Gonna get stuck into it tonight.

I’m looking forward to planning a fresh new team like I always do and inevitably falling back on my old faithfuls instead :lol:
 
They need to bring out a Pokemon Rainbow, on 3DS. Re-re-remastered combo game with Kanto, Johto & Hoenn. Play through all three regions with full story in each including Pokemon League. God I would buy the shit out of that game.

Forgot how slow to get going this gen was.

Especially now, there seems to be soooooo many pokemon to catch right off the bat. You could have a full team from the patch of grass next to your house alone.

It’d be so good. Hopefully the Switch version is like a super version, super remastered all regions it’d be ace.

That's the one, I was going to say Wii U but it didn't seem right. The sad thing about it, if it happens is that it'll most definitely include all the shite after Hoenn. Bad times.

I dunno I’ve liked some of the later worlds. Unova was awesome and felt massive. Kalos is cool too. I know you like your Pokémon vintage though...
 
I'm playing SoulSilver at the moment. Just saw a Raikou and caught Red Gyarados. :drool:
 
Soul Silver is the one. I’m about 6 gyms into Heart Gold currently but just put it on hold.

Also on a YouTube nostalgia trip.
 
Setup the original gold rom on my r4i card for the other half. Never played them before, and she goes and encounters a shiny rattata straight after the first gym. Lucky bugger.
 
As someone more nostalgic for gen 2 than gen 1 I really wish they'd do a game starting in Kanto and then going into (a slightly expanded) Johto. Basically just a reversed HG/SS, those games were close to perfect.
 
So Tesco have all blister packs etc half price. I decided to go for the Mimikyu Pin box with 3 Boosters in for £8.

I got these out of the packs, not a bad pull rate!

You gotta buy them online now really, then you can get them about £2.20 a pack.
