Yeah it's mad, to be honest I'm only now focusing down more on what I actually want. Before I was just trying to collect everything at once which never ends well!

Yeah, definitely better to be more focused, especially with something like Pokemon cards when there are so many.
If I decide to get any in the future, I think I'll just stick to the one off special edition type things, like the Mario ones.
Yeah I do love those one offs, I'm trying to get all the Pikachu cosplays.
I'm also trying to catch one of the guardian Pokemon in Moon. It has 1HP and is paralysed and I'm 35 ultra balls deep so far. fecking annoying.

Last one I played was White, and I didn't play that much of that. I should play one of the newer games some time. Maybe I'll wait for Stars on the Switch

I'm not actually sure which sets contain which full arts yet, but I've seen a few from each and they're so nice. I'm gonna be buying singles in this set though, the pull rates seem way lower than in evolutions which was just a ridiculous set.

feck the Ninetales isnt full art. Its regular. Just got a secret metagross i.e. the rainbow. Looks amazing.

Those are cool. I remember a really nice trainer from the fates collide set i purchased last year. The arts look amazing.

Got the XY Evo box recently. Holo and reverse holo Charizard (never ever had one of these). Mega Charizard and the full art! Incredible box.
The pulls from the Evo set are epic. I still haven't pulled a Holo Charizard though, pulled 2 reverse holos which in theory are rarer though!
Some of my favourite secret rares in that set too.
I had it sitting in my basket for two weeks before finally buying it. That feeling of nostalgia! Plus, my original Gyarados was washed in my trousers when I was a kid, so finally replaced that.

hmm... I need to wait a few weeks before I splurge more. Spent so much on cards this months. Off the top of my head, I do need the Pidgeots, Dragonite, most of the cards between 100-108 (bar Charizard and Brocks Grit), and a few others.
I'll have a look at what I got when I get home. To be fair I dont mind just sending you some if you need, I fully can't be bothered to ever sell or trade them because I'm so lazy

@Snowjoe trying to get into collecting some cards (nothing crazy or expensive) any advice?
I got back into it last year and once you start, you don't stop. I must have spent at least £400 over the last 12 months on them.
It depends on what you want to get from it to be honest. Of the recent sets Evolutions is the most nostalgic, which is nice if you collected the older cards once upon a time, and its still new enough that you can buy it in shops easily enough. The problem is if you're a completionist who would want to have every card from within a set then now is a very bad time. The new Sun & Moon sets all have 170ish cards in a set with a hideous amount of them being ultra rares and secret rares. Its made it very expensive to complete sets and put me right off to be honest. Especially as the pull rates don't seem to be that great for good cards.
Other than that you can either buy singles of cards you like the look of (which is by far the cheapest way if you want something specific), or buy boosters for the excitement of opening them. Boosters are quite fun but to be honest if your after something specific then its really not the way to go as you'll be there forever, especially in the new massive sets.
Thanks @Di Maria's angel @Snowjoe I'm not looking to finish collections. That will start wayyy later if I ever get into it. Right now it's mostly the fun of openning the packs + I'd like to collect some evolution lines that I like.

I tend to buy from either chaoscards.co.uk or a local games store. Your usual toy stores will be more expensive. Often ebay can be good for singles just have a search to compare prices.
