@Snowjoe do you know if there is any difference in sun/moon other than the legendary and the 12 hour switch?

Vulpix is a Sun exclusive, also the apes, the psychic ape is Moon the fighting one is Sun, some other small differences, ie form of Lyncaroc.

Anyone know when I'll be able to download the new one on Android (emulator)? Hadn't played it for over a decade but decided to revisit my childhood last year and it was good fun. Fancy giving the new one a try...but not enough to actually want to buy it, of course.

I don't think 3DS emulations effectively out there yet. The most reliable generation you'd get up to is DS with Diamond/Pearl/HeartGold/SoulSilver/Platinum/Black/White, maybe Black and White 2.

The new ones, Sun and Moon, are 3DS along with the Ruby/Sapphire remakes.

EDIT: I may be very wrong on this, in which case I don't know. My go to would be youtube tutorials.

Yeah tried looking for emulators before buying my 3ds for x/y turned out to be an awesome investment tbh, love it.

Pokémon Bank now supports Sun & Moon, along with PokéTransporter supporting the Red, Blue, and Yellow Virtual Console games.

@Snowjoe I also need to trade with you the two UBs that are version exclusives.

Alright cool! I'll try power through a bit more tonight when I transfer my old Pokemon in. I've been slacking recently badly so I'm a bit behind. I'll get back to it and sort you out.

Right, so my favourite Pokemon is either Blastoise or Arcanine.
Now apparently I can get a Growlithe in this new one so thats my aim, but a few questions.

Abilities: I assume they are fixed
Egg moves: Do they start with theses when hatched, or do they randomly get them as they level up. If so I assume you can't determine these in advance
Exp share: Does that give the pokemon in battle 100%. I've read a few people say it does, but I want to confirm

Cheers

EDIT: Maybe it's worth caring about this once the game is completed and you look at EV training?

I wouldn't stress too much in the main game, only really becomes important if you play competitively or something.

Ability is fixed so yeah you can't change that. Egg moves it depends what you're looking for, they can be learned by levelling up or by TM or whatever, can be useful if you're trying to make a Pokemon with moves it doesn't normally learn. Such as making an absol with mean look.

Were there any specific moves you were looking at?

Exp share in the later versions gives the fighting Pokémon 100%.

@Olly finally arrived :drool:

Haven't seen those.

Did the Pikachu/Mario plush come with the cards you got? I think I'd want that more than the cards, TBH.

I want them baaaaad.

Nah the plush doesn't come as part of that set, but now I've seen them
I really want them

Oh those are awesome. Awesomely cute. Are they part of a set or some kind of one off?

Yeah the plushes are great :D

Think it was just one of those one off boxes they do for Pokémon centres. You don't usually get much in the boxes so I don't mind just getting the individual cards.

They did a plush for it too
