Was going to buy one of the old ones on my 3DS, is yellow much of an improvement on Blue/Red?
Up and downs, graphically a touch better, the three starters all available, some of the spawn points are a bit better. Was going to buy one of the old ones on my 3DS, is yellow much of an improvement on Blue/Red?
Yessir. It'd be improved. Then it wouldn't be Pikachu anymore
You monster.Yessir. It'd be improved.
I'm very practical when it comes to team building, sometimes terribly so.
I love yellow, my favorite pokemon game actually.
It really is brilliant to be fair.I love yellow, my favorite pokemon game actually.
Yessir.You monster.
Well yeah, it's a gameboy game, ffs.It downloaded in like a second.
Gonna download yellow, never played it!
One bit of advice, that patch of grass on route 22 west of Viridian City has Mankeys(and both Nidorans rather than just one type), really damn helpful at that stage of the game, especially if you pick Charmander.Gonna download yellow, never played it!

That's right. The Pokemon expert is slipping.Oooh good to know. I'll keep an eye on that. You don't pick charmander in yellow though right?
Ahhhh, shit, right, Pikachu. Which actually makes it even more important, as even Charmander can damage rocks with his ember because of their shite special stat, Pikachu's attacks won't even land.Oooh good to know. I'll keep an eye on that. You don't pick charmander in yellow though right?
Also Mew being distributed at GAME next month, that's a big one.
Idiocy brought on by lack of sleep. That's right. The Pokemon expert is slipping.

I did once beat Brock with nothing but a Pidgy and a Butterfree. Literally destroying his pokemons accuracy with Sand Attack then pecking them off 1hp at a time with tackles.

Yeah I played Red and Blue many times, I got Red when it came out.
I had no idea about types then and had picked Bulbasaur so smashed the first two gyms. The amount of times I've tried taking Butterfree into that gym and it just gets flattened
Mew's already at GAME. I got one last week. Level 100. Only knows Pound.
Feck, I remember having this massive official Nintendo guide back then, and it was full of really bad info.
Big one was to take ghosts against Sabrina's psychic pokemon, which makes sense, until you remember that there are no usable ghost attacks, and they're all part poison and get instantly murdered by her. That and Raticates with Dig, only ever using health damaging attacks, using ground Pokemon against Articuno, use Articuno against Blaine. Crazy, crazy shite.
That's so great
It's still one of my favourite, sadly that special split was harsh on it, and now it's stats are kind of meh(also because of power creep, of course).Articuno was my favourite Pokemon for a while. I insisted on fighting everything with it regardless of type.
Can't pick Charmander you get Pikachu at the beginning but you do get given all 3 started Pokemon later on in the game, does make the game hard at the startOne bit of advice, that patch of grass on route 22 west of Viridian City has Mankeys(and both Nidorans rather than just one type), really damn helpful at that stage of the game, especially if you pick Charmander.
Yes, we've dealt with that now. Can't pick Charmander you get Pikachu at the beginning but you do get given all 3 started Pokemon later on in the game, does make the game hard at the start
