PL Gameweek 1 | 16/08/24 - 19/08/24

We beat Swansea 4-1 away in our first PL match under Moyes, Swansea were ten times better than this terrible Ipswich team.
Lets not get giddy over Liverpool just yet, eh?

The one difference which is very apparent between us and rest of the 'top 5' PL teams is the ability to pass in the final third and keep opp pinned in. Utd just can't apply this level.of pressure and are way too open for encounters.

I must admit that liverpool is playing decent - having said that.. hope Ipswich will bang in 3 goals still :lol:

Ipswich is going to struggle like hell to score, they haven't looked remotely close. Their attack looks toothless and seems to lack quality. I think they're domed to go down to the championship.

It's one Facebook, X etc, starts with "no Liverpool manager this century", if you search those words you should find it. Not saying it's 100% true.
It's true. Benitez drew away at Spurs, Hodgson drew at home to Arsenal, Dalglish in his second stint lost away at Blackpool, Rodgers lost away at West Brom, and Klopp drew away at Spurs.
Found it by a simple check of the wikipedia pages for the seasons they hired each of those managers.

Which is why £20m for Delap is terrible, much better off finding a real attacking prospect and hope that even if they go down, they can groom him to go back up. Signing a 1 in 5 Championship striker ain’t it.

Finally books a Liverpool player when it doesn’t matter anymore.
Bias is clear to see

It's early days but Liverpool look excellent, albeit not quite as shot happy as they were under Klopp. Slot could end up being a good appointment.
The first positive thing I've seen you post and it's about Liverpool. Wonderful.

It's taken Slot x weeks to get Liverpool playing good football but Hag can't get United playing after x years.

Feel free to copy and paste that with the right numbers

He's just an assister now. Going down the Sanchez route.

Just?

18 PL goals last season.
19 PL season before that.
22 before that.
23, 22, 19, 32 before that.

His goal return last season was just a few short of his average return in absolute peak PL years.

When did he become just an assister?

Right after I posted that obviously... I mean, Alexis also had his best scoring season just before his last one, where he looked burnt. I think Salah could go a similar route, and won't be as prolific this year.

Slot letting the players go over to the away fans, and walking off like job done.. the fist pumps can wait, man gotta earn them stripes!
