Probably because they've turned their attention to a certain other player who might suddenly be available.
Miki mostly played on the the right with a freedom to roam around. He did play a few games as 10 and a few games on the left. 4-2-3-1 with Kagawa or Miki as 10, a lot of 4-1-4-1. He did click with Auba very well last season. Both of them were responsible for half of Dortmund's goals and assists.?? How many bvb games did you watch? Bvb played 4-1-do-whatever-you-want last season
He never actually played on the right. Him, Reus and Auba had free roles(Kagawa as well when he played). I watched every single Dortmund game. When Reus was healthy, they would swap places during the game, but Miki started on the right. He had a good support from Ginter and LP on the right and decent support from Schmelzer on the left.He never actually played on the right. Started from the right =/= played on the right. Their system was built on fluid movement, the 3(4) forwards were trusted to pick their own spots on the pitch. The whole idea was to never give a point of reference to the defence, attack from different anglesI watched every single Dortmund game. And Auba was always CF.
That's what I said in my post.I think it was somewhere inbetween. Mkhitaryan was positioned on the right during build-up but had a license to roam freely. So he'd cover mostly the right 3/4s of the pitch. Not sure what this has to do with Aubameyang, who also roams towards the right flank on occasion btw.
Plays at Dortmund, dreams of Real, moves to Pool? Would be funny.Apparently "Le Parisien" is reporting that he's high up Liverpool's list now.
Salah, Mane, Auba looks like a pretty pacey attack and a wasted season every time AFCON happens
Don't think that will happen. Don't think he will fancy move to another club who don't have title hopes . PSG, Barca, Real, United and Chelsea or even city ...Plays at Dortmund, dreams of Real, moves to Pool? Would be funny.
Weird that United has title hopes in your opinion whilst Liverpool doesn't, although we finished the season two places higher with 7 points more than you...Don't think that will happen. I am not thrashing you or your team but simple fact is that you can't win the league until you have solid 2 or 3 match winners. At the moment I only see one. United are in the process of getting some very important players. Although I still think we are way off and city probably are in the best position but our chances are much more than yoursWeird that United has title hopes in your opinion whilst Liverpool doesn't, although we finished the season two places higher with 7 points more than you...
This is a nothing rumour, basically speculating because PSG doesn't want him anymore and Klopp is at Liverpool. He'll never join us.
I'm sorry, do you really not see the fallacy in your argument? It doesn't like it. I think his options are fairly limited actually.Exactly. I don't think he'll come, though, as most teams in the world will want to sign him. Our only hope would be, that his relationship to Klopp is very strong and that he could see the charm in coming to Liverpool and be a part of bringing Liverpool back to the absolute top. I very much doubt it..

PSG were reported to be close to signing him, but for some reason they backed out. Maybe because they want to see what happens with Ronaldo? At one stage this lad was the hottest striker in Europe. How comes no big teams are linked with him?
Emery wants a more traditional striker.PSG were reported to be close to signing him, but for some reason they backed out. Maybe because they want to see what happens with Ronaldo?
Real/Barca/Bayern/Juve/City are pretty well set with strikers, Chelsea are probably focused on Lukaku. That really only leaves us in terms of the big boys, and for some reason we don't seem to have any interest. Pool might be the only team left with the money to sign him.
They wont sign Ronaldo even if he leaves.PSG were reported to be close to signing him, but for some reason they backed out. Maybe because they want to see what happens with Ronaldo?
.
It is a bit weird. If I had to guess, his style of play must be a bit of a worry for the bigger teams; he isn't really a typical traditional number 9 that a top side tends to have. Also as Giorno alludes to, he seems to be after a very large wage packet. At one stage this lad was the hottest striker in Europe. How comes no big teams are linked with him?
Cause none of the "big" teams need a striker bar us?At one stage this lad was the hottest striker in Europe. How comes no big teams are linked with him?
Well that too, probably. Still, there's a few: PSG, Manchester United, most likely Chelsea, and probably Arsenal. Then there's Milan and Liverpool who are at least 'big' in name.Cause none of the "big" teams need a striker bar us?
Maybe someone forgot to tell them. They wont sign Ronaldo even if he leaves.
One can only assume it's his age .. just turned 28. Though in today's market €70m for one of the hottest, and fastest, strikers on the planet seems a reasonable price for 2-3 years in his prime and maybe another 2 in decline. At one stage this lad was the hottest striker in Europe. I've seen some comments on his off the field lifestyle as another potential concern. Apparently he's prone to the odd late night (and jetting to Italy for a party a couple of days before a CL game). One can only assume it's his age .. just turned 28.
