He may not be interested in joining us, or moving to England, or Jose may not want him.
But the fans do! That's all that matters.

There will be incessant whining when we sign Morata for twice as much as this lad

Some say that he is going to Paris for €70M.

Probably the best no.9 and finisher available on the market. Considering we missed so many chances and lacked goals, absolutely shocking we arent in for him if he is available. Maybe not a typical Mourinho player?

Feck me if PSG get him 70m and we are paying over 70 for some of the others that have been mentioned.

Him and team mate Dembele would be well worth the effort going after..
Looks pretty good in the air too. If we got Perisic aswell we'd have a formidable front line.. Goals galore!

Definitely bull-shit. A manager can't talk to the player directly unless a bid has been accepted and the selling club has given permission to discuss personal terms with the player. This is the kind of thing that gets you transfer bans.

Our name will be thrown into any possible transfer of a player. Most supported club and most active fanbase on social media = most RT's. That story is total bullshit.

True. But we should be making offers for him.

A bid doesn't have to be accepted.

If he was signing for PSG wouldn't this have been locked up by now? I'd rather have Aubameyang than Morata...especially if Real Madrid make Morata too expensive.

Word on the street is that Jose doesn't fancy him as a player. Probably bullshite but doesn't appear to be our target.

What makes him the best no.9?
I'd go out on a limb here and say his attacking game? Not that I agree with him, but he has a point, and he's definitely the most consistently prolific striker on the market.

Would love to see him and Morata together to be honest

I think Aubameyang is good a getting on the end of changes and putting them away (scores a lot of tap ins), he's probably great for a high pressing team that hit on the break.

On the other hand I think Morata is more capable outside of the box, can hold up the ball and make a goal from nothing. For this reason I think he's the better player for us.

What? It doesn't make sense at all (and it's not true)

Until the existing agreement or any renewal of it has terminated: (A) a Player may not enter into any agreement with any other Club in membership with The Association, or an Affi liated Association, or of any other national football association; and (B) the Player may not be approached by any other Club, or Club Offi cial of any other Club, or any person with a view to inducing the Player to leave the Club for which the Player is registered, except with the written permission of that Club

Not among big teams it does not. Going to FIFA fot that is the kind of thing that will blacklist a big club from doing business with other big clubs. They solve those things among themselves

So where does it state that a bid has to be accepted?

All it takes for a club to be allowed to contact a player is the permission from the the player's club in written form. If you think about it for a second it wouldn't make much sense to first accept an offer as long as it's unclear if the player wants to move at all. Interested clubs would be haggling prices for weeks and months only to then get rejected by players.

The thing is, no one cares about this. I can hardly remember any fuss about this rule - Ashley Cole's transfer, van Dijk this summer...
But if all you need is a bid, the clubs would send a Wenger-esque 1 pound bid for every player and then discuss personal terms with the ones they are interested in.

Well, it's true. You only need a formal permission from the player's club. You don't need to put a bid or agree to one.

PSG allegedly have informed him that they are no longer interested. Didn´t know clubs were allowed to do that in times of billion dollar bidding wars. :p

I think he might end up staying. That Dortmund team is getting kinda crowded.

-------- Weidenfeller --------
Durm - Ginter - Toprak - Schmelzer
----Castro ----Bender -------
Schuerrle Goetze Philipp
--------Reus ---------

That´s their bench at the moment. Five World Cup winners.

According to Bild, PSG has ended Aubameyand's chase. Emery has told Auba that they need a classic striker.

We should put in a bid and use him as leverage for negotiations with Morata. Leak the story and try to drive the price down.

I like him but doubt Mou would actually go for him, seems like all these Dortmund players do best on the break running into space and we hardly ever play like that, usually we come up against stubborn defences which we need to break down. Explains why Mou wants Morata so much over other strikers

They have Cavani for that role or will Emery play with 2 strikers up front? I think the new sporting director just doesnt like him and he has more say then the manager

That's true but he'd be ideal vs the top clubs - there's probably 6-7 teams that won't 'shut up shop' those will be the matches where the title is won and lost.

It seems like Emery never really wanted him and he was a Kluivert target who now left the club.

PEA is still linked with China. I could see Milan bringing him if they have cash left.

Had look and this guy bagged 40 in 46 this season and 39 in 49 last season. I get he's not super young, but I'd have thought as it appears he wants to leave there would be a stack of clubs in for him.

Chinese don´t want him either. Think they can get Modeste for half the price. I wonder if Dortmund went in for Toprak, Dahoud and Philipp thinking Aubameyang will pay for it, now they can´t give him away.

so, what's the scoup here lads.. Is he really in the market for a move?
And if so, can anyone explain why we are not persuing this goal scoring demon????
cheers!

Why aren't we in on this guy?

Why do we have to pigeon hole ourselves into one style? All this guy does is score - straight up, into spaces, on counters. That aside, banking on only one striker, an expensive and unproven mind you, is not the best plan to go into a long CL-including season.

Grab PEA and give Madrid what you've offered - or let them go feck themselves.

If Borussia Dortmund would be run by idiots who spend money from an unfinished deal, maybe. Given the history and track record of our officials and especially the fact that we can pretty easily afford the 45 million Euro we spend on these three players (Dahoud and Toprak a significant portion under their market value), it is rather unlikely.

Him and Mikhi used to link up lovely at Dortmund and would quite frankly be a priority if I won a manager for the day competition.

This is a strange one, he's been one of the best strikers in Europe over the last few years and Dortmund don't appear to be pricing him as high as Belotti, Lukaku and Morata, yet no one is biting.

Who say that? The standart figure that gets thrown around by the press is 70 Mil. €, but all media outlets near the club evaluate that figure as "a good deal lower than what the Dortmund officials want". A more realistic number would be 80 mil. €. Add to that the pretty pricey wage wishes of Aubameyang and you got one hell of an expensive package. The number of club who could afford that a pretty limited and amongst these clubs Paris was the only one who appeared to be ready to pay that much.
