Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang | Orny says deal to Arsenal dependent on Dortmund getting replacement

Is this how he earned his title as genius? Just buy all the attacking players with his unlimited budget.

He had world class bayern and barca teams, only having a good City side seemed to deeply upset him.

Anyways, this isnt a name that gets my muppet juices flowing. I could be wrong, he might end up being great at City but right now im not fussed that we are not interested

* Has a problem with his defense while his attack was doing fine.
* goes on and sign every attacking player possible in the market, ignoring his defense completely.

Thing is, if he's playing Aubamayeng it probably means Aguero and/or Jesus is on the bench. I know you need depth but that's ridiculous.

Pep is gong for broke. If he fails next year he'll walk or be sacked.

I fail to see the point of buying so many attacking players. Inevitably some will get fed up of not playing.

Sky said the same 12 months ago

City will not be signing him

I'd say people here are the ones getting nervous (as we should frankly speaking).

Well for myself I'm not. We have the exact same kind of rumors each summer it doesn't mean we signed all of these linked players, same to them. They're getting linked to almost any player now so either they don't have any plan for the summer and trying their luck or these links are BS, both aren't a thing to worry about.

People overhyped their market since B. Silva signing but after it they went quiet as the other teams, except for the rumors everywhere.

Makes zero sense for City to be in for him. He can only play CF so Aguero would be off, given we've already got fair cover in all attacking areas. At least the Sanchez links were for somebody who can play any of the attacking roles relatively successfully.

Regardless if the rumor being true or not (it's more likely than Ronaldo coming back IMO) the fact that one of our rivals who already score a lot are linked to a world class striker is worrying. If it isn't worrying for our fans then why the hell would Pep be fecking worried!

I would be very jealous.

They are already scoring without him, I can't think of any addition he's going to make to their current attack more than what they do now. I'll only worry when an opponent resolve a problem they have, not adding more players to a part of the field they don't want any additions in it.

Getting him certainly doesn't harm them in any way I think and if Aguero for example suffers serious injuries or has a dip in form Auba would cover for him nicely.

Aguero will be on the bench next season whatever they get Auba or not. I believe Pep was going to depend on Jesus. If they bring Auba, Aguero will either become 3rd choice or feck off, with Auba the main striker and Jesus his sub.

I'll tell you what, people seem to doubt it, but if Liverpool or City sign this lad we'll wish they hadn't.

Then that's a great lineup the would have!

I am nervous but only because I want to sign him, couldn't care less who city sign but once he's off the market he's off. Was equally as nervous with the PSG claims.

Is it not strange no one seems to want him? PSG lost interest - all the money in Italy and no bids forthcoming, now only Scouse and city linked

I really dont get this argument. Players have to be linked to every top team every summer for them to be considered good?

Not at all. Just interesting to me. For a player that's evidently available, and Dortmund notorious recently for not holding on to players who want out, that a lot have cooled their interest. I'm hardly calling him shite ffs.

Eh, we have not actively sold a key player with more than a year left on contract for nearly a decade. Aubameyang would break the trend which means we are looking for major money for him. I said it before but coupled with Aubameyang´s salary demands that package becomes so expensive that it only makes sense if a club is looking to install him as undisputed starting striker and can actually afford him. Right now, I don´t see a single club (if United signs Morata) that fits this criteria.

Evidently my head and truth are very much divided

Not fussed really. If it pushes the likes of Jesus and Aguero down the list then I hardly see that as a net positive move. Aguero in top form is better than this guy.

I'm pretty sure Madrid aren't going to deal us Morata.

With Morata out of the way...Aubameyang should be who United brings in. He's fricken GOOD and he's AVAILABLE. He's got at least 3 good years left in him.

Who better to mentor Rashford than Aubameyang?

Yeah I would forget doing business this summer with the circus from Madrid and get deals done with the best available players.
This guy wants to move, is one of the best strikers around and has a good understanding with Mkhi.
Dortmund do not necessarily need to sell but they are run with a good sense for business so an offer around 70 Mio EUR might do it.

The same goes for Mahrez.

Those 2 players would improve our attack immensely.

Only issue is AFCON then. We are trying to go for depth and then will potentially lose our best striker?

Honestly not too sure how often Gabon gets into the bigger stages of the comp though, so my argument might be moot.

So Dortmund have stated they're asking price of around £63m.....why is Woody not calling them right now?!?!?

Why isn't Aubameyang more in demand? Seems no one wants him.

He's just not all that good. He'd make a difference to us and arsenal, but that's about it I reckon.. Good player, but the same age, twice the price and half the quality of RvP.

Would he not be better suited to our game than Moratta? Not seen him recently so based on pervious years.

Not really, he doesn't really hold up the ball etc

Auba scored last season 31 goals in 32 games. RVP scored at his best season 30 goals in 38 games. RVP was brilliant but i think you underrate Aubameyang.
