If we'd managed to keep him, this thread would probably now be about the inevitability of him leaving for somewhere like Madrid this summer.
Pretty sure thats an old quote just dug up from the media to take a dig at United. I read that interview before like a year ago.
That story is about a year old. Rehashed crap. The media is getting worse.
Ye i read that quote last year. Are you talking about Buffon's bit here? Because that's not a year old. It was earlier today/last night.
I think City have a good shot at getting him. With Yaya Toure leaving they'll be desperate to land Pogba and will throw a fortune at both Juve and the player.

I stand corrected. It's odd, as F365 had it all over their front page, and a quick Google showed SkySports reporting it earlier today, Yahoo news etc.Its old.
Juve are desperate for him to remain in Turin and team-mate Buffon admits he cannot understand why Pogba was allowed to leave United in the first place.
"Pogba is one of those players who leaves you speechless," Buffon told TV show Tiki Taka.
"When he came we didn't know him but after only three or four training sessions we were impressed by his enormous qualities.
"My team-mates and me looked at each other as to say 'Are they blind in Manchester?' (to let him go away)."
Stemmed from this article at the start of 2014.
A lot of Pogba comments about Man Utd are old rehashed comments.
You seem to be fixating on Mata and Herrera too much here. Fair enough Smalling is another example. There are plenty of players that love United at the club and I don't think Pogba has the same connection. Obvioulsy if Pogba returns, it shows that he likes United but my point is he won't return, showing he doesn't have the same love as other players. It really does! Plenty of our players live the club & want to be there, Smalling opted for Unted over Arsenal whom he's supposed to support. Yet you name the fan boi favourites, as though they're a shining example. Personally I think Mata will be gone in the summer, but that's a whole new topic.
And if Pogba returns it'll be as he wants to play for United, he'd have plenty of other options & the decision will be his. So how exactly would he not want to be at United?

No - it's not just that.
It's been 3 years since he's left. Buffon has just come out with a statement, on the eve of Juve making a CL final for the first time in 12(?) years. Surely, that'd be a better thing for Buffon to harp on about. Pirlo did the same earlier on in the season. The agent did it last year I think. And this isn't including Poggers' own comments.
It's just boring now.

Fixating on players you brought up? simply pointing out the flaw in your logic, I did not bring them into the thread.
Go google some of the comments Pogba has made about United since leaving. Then you'll have a better understanding of how he feels about the club. Not what you think he feels.
I'll start you off....
“I love Man United,” he revealed. “I learned a lot there and they make me improve, and give me something to come here and play for Juventus.
“I thank Man United every day because I learned there, training with big players, which gave me experience to come here and get used to playing alongside big players like [Andrea] Pirlo, Arturo Vidal, [Claudio] Marchisio and [Gianluigi] Buffon.”

October 09 to July 12 so not the required 36 monthsUnder the current rules it just has to be 3 years before his 21st birthday that he is registered with a club in England or Wales, I do not think it has to be THE 3 years before his 21st birthday. It does not even have to be 3 years with the same club, just 3 years in total. So if a player signs for an English club right at the age of 16, stays until after he is 19 say. Then leaves for a club in another country, but comes back at some point, under the current rules he is still a home grown player.
That at least is how I remember it, I know when the rule first came into play there were all sorts of discussions about this. I used to have a link to the rules on the official Premier League website but it does not work anymore. But maybe they changed the rules since they first went into effect and I missed it.
EDIT:
Okay here is one link from last summer.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...home-grown-rules-explaining-epl-player-quotas
It says the player only needs to spend a total of 36 months or 3 entire seasons registered with a club or clubs that belong to the FA or the FA of Wales. Included in this can be the season in which he turns 21.
Would have to look at the actual time Pogba spent with us, as I can't remember it off the top of my head.
What are you on about???? THE PLAYERS AREN'T IMPORTANT!.....I simply mentioned two players who seem to love it at United. Throw Smalling in there, Jones, Shaw...whoever ya want.Fixating on players you brought up? simply pointing out the flaw in your logic, I did not bring them into the thread.

What's he saying?Expect this thread to grow by a good chunk of pages tonight.
Carragher talking sense on the topic on Sky right now.
He was asked in a leading way whether United would regret the way they handled the situation and he basically said it's not that simple, the player was making demands above his station and that you gave to have policies in these situations and giving in can have a knock-on effect on other players etc. What's he saying?
He is in most top matches.Been quiet tonight
Aye, he's not (yet) worth the figures being quoted.
But saying that, he might just pop up with a spectacular.
Yeah, he'd thrive in Yaya's best role IMO - behind the striker. But yeah, he's a tad too inconsistent if you consider they're talking about world record transfer fees (or in that range).Have to agree. He's not really able to get involved.
Have to say he looks to have all the tools but looks a bit hit and miss. I think it would be unwise for a City or similar to blow their budget on him. He'd be under huge pressure to perform.
According to my sources, Pogba will join manutd in the summer. His agent mino raiola was seen having a chat with Woodward a few days ago
It's crazy to draw conclusions from a rusty performance returning from injury against one of the best sides in Europe.
abc?I've watched him a few times abc I've never really seen him do anything in terms of running a game that I'd expect for £60 or £70 million.
That being said, I don't watch Juve or France fanatically so I'm not going to make snap judgments and others rate him highly so fair enough. For that kind of transfer fee though he'll be expected to be the star man most weeks.
thought I was missing some new text speak abbreviation!*And.
The joys of iPhone auto correct.
Pogba is worth 2p. Everytime I see him play I think what's the hype? A hit and miss player - City welcome to him.
