Might go to Barcelona next season when their transfer ban expires. Think City is a step down from Juve if I'm being honest.comments in here are hilarious. id bet good money that he's going nowhere.

id bet he's going nowhere for atleast the next 3 years. this is Juve we're talking about, not arsenal. the only star player i remember them selling is zidane(pre scandal) and he was 29 when he went for 75 million euros. Another thing is Beppe is a pretty intelligent man and probably knows this sale wouldnt help the club much.Might go to Barcelona next season when their transfer ban expires. I only want players at the club that really want to play for us like Mata and Herrera for example.

Serie A is recovering and Juve as a team are pretty much back in the elite. The money will start rolling in and they'll keep the players. Look how long people have thaught Vidal is leaving. They are a massive club and dont go around selling their best players, its just smething they dont do.Serie a was the best league back then and Italian clubs were the most attractive destination for any player. Now there is much more money elsewhere.

Didn't disagree with that, i said the league is in recovery. Once juve start having sustained success in europe, their revenue will grow steadily. im not saying he isnt leaving because they can give him a really big contract, im saying he isnt leaving because they wont sell him.Serie A can't compete with the other top leagues money wise. This is a fact that even the chief director at Juventus admitted himself.

'Pogba has not indicated a willingness to leave, though. The problem will come when the player is offered a contract that is two or three times what he already earns. We're talking in the tens of millions per year.'

They arent desperate for cash and hes pretty much happy there. We saw with Modric that a player can be dead set on leaving and go nowhere. He signed a deal until 2019 so they wont be obliged to sell until 2017.If a player is dead set on leaving any club he's as good as gone. I don't see them resisting a big offer either

Where can we find out what the current FFP situation is each club? Id be interested to know how City think they can afford Pogba unless of course they are turfing out half those high earners.
Schneiderlin and Pogba would be the perfect blend.
6: Carrick, Schneiderlin, Blind
8: Herrera, Pogba, Schneiderlin
10: Pogba, Di Maria, Mata, Fellaini
That would be us sorted for the next 5 years. Champions league potential.
Obviously, but they're not separate entities now. If you sign Pogba, you have to deal with the baggage of Rioala. Why do people keep on harping on Pogba being troublesome? His agent is the one causing trouble, not him
No where am I saying Pogba is a bad player. I am just saying for the prices being talked about think we could get a few quality players.
From what i hear Rams, City are gettin another major money boost from Etihad & some other Arabs. Yaya looks to be on his way also - so that's most likely a £30m transfer fee & his wages will go towards his replacement's wages also. Pogba would be their major signing & maybe their only one, bar a couple of £20m's etc.
They dont generate enough honest income to afford spending big, but City has maybe found a way around FFP now. Every man & his dog knows its Sheikh Mansours money thats being spent with their sponsorships etc. All he would have to do, is to secretly invest hundreds of millions in Etihad etc. (which he's most likely done before) & have them sponsor the club with his invested loot.
That being said, FFP look at substantial investments that dont carry commercial sense for the investor. The simple example of which was made by some official in FFP quite some time ago - something along these lines: "A football can be bought for €20, so why would you buy the same football for €200?"
FFP are pretty stringent, which is a great thing, but its surely gonna have problems figuring out money trails from clubs like City & PSG, because both got big time stung last summer.
I just found this link, but i still stand behind my comments above:

Listen I cant see how City can outspend us when it comes to Pogba if we want him. If he is coming to England we can offer him the best deal.
City are going to be throwing big money around this Summer, no question about it. They won't have FFP this year because of dodgy backhand deals and the squad needs a revamp. As much as we won't like it they are going to 'try and make a statement' by signing someone like Pogba or a big name along them lines to replace the aging stars they currently have. For instance they won't let Yaya leave and just replace him with a bog standard name, They don't have to and won't allow that to happen, Even if that means throwing as astronomical wage at someone for that to happen.
Do I think Pogba wants to go to City? Probably not, But if you are being offered around £350k per week you are always going to consider it, and that's what City will do.
They may be doing better with FFP now but I still think we are in a stronger position however. Personally Im not a fan of him coming back but I think if LVG/Woodward want him and if he wants to come to back to england they wont be beat on price. Anyway I think he ends up at Madrid.
30 million for Yaya mate? No chance
Don't get me wrong, I agree with what you are saying in general. Plus most players would rather play for United then City anyways (RVP\Berbatov for example), BUT this Summer City are going to go all out for at least one big name I feel, and as much as LVG would maybe like Pogba I cannot see him/us offering around £350k p/w for him as that could potentially start unrest for the rest of our players knowing he would be making that kind of money. Rooney is our highest earner now for similar type figures but he has been at the club a number of years and had to do a couple of tricks to get these pay rises (many of which have potentially ruined his long term status as a United player\legend).
He didn't get a chance at United, that's probably the biggest factor that makes a player want to be at a club. I doubt very much he'll return to United. He's a marquee signing, which is more a club thing than a van Gaal thing. Both "marquee" signings last summer have fell short of what we hoped for let's be honest about that. We don't need marquee names, we need solid players. There's plenty of midfielder options I'd have which would be cheaper than him. Good? Certainly. Good for United? Highly unlikely.
You really think Pogba would get Messi money?
Normally i'd say definitely not, but City are verging on desperate and like I said will try to put a marker down so it wouldn't surprise me at all if Pogba was the guy they wanted to do that with.
People do realise that he's a fecking 'Marquee signing' because he has a reputation for being very good at football right? It would certainly be a 'Van Gaal thing'. I could understand if we were discussing the possibility of Kim Kardashian joining United, but by and large, big names are big names because they are very good players. Yes, they may not be a success, but are more likely to be a success than footballers who are not good.
Exactly its not like players want to be "marquee signings" Its such a wanky term probably uttered by cnuts who.take ipads to games
True but Chelsea have shown with Matic that's theres merit to swallowing your pride and correcting your errors. Not that I think we'll get him mind..I cant see Pogba in a United shirt again, I think it would take a personal call from SAF (he shouldnt/wouldnt do that imo) to set things right and for him to comeback. I would love to have him here but theres a stinging feeling that we could fork over a crazy sum of money for a guy who used to play for our u21s and we let him go for free.
I don't think he'd be a good fit for Barca. Not consistent enough in his passing and he doesn't really dominate games in the manner of a Rakitic (Sevilla), never mind Xavi.Unfortunately I think he'll end up at one of the big boys in Spain.
Would have thought Real will be strengthening their centre midfield since it took one injury to Modric to result in Ramos playing there. Khedira and Illaramendi probably both out the door as well. Pogba would fit their galactico policy as well since I can't see them signing another high profile attacking player this summer.
Or he might be inclined to stay at Juve for 1 more year before heading to Barcelona. They're midfield may also need an injection with Xavi and Iniesta not getting any younger.
I think we need to let that go, if LVG thinks Pogba would suit what he wants then we should break the bank for him. The last time we performed transfer business with the intention of not looking weak or stupid we ended up handing a guy approaching 30 who hasn't had consistently good form for about 3 years a 5 year £300k a week contract when we could have got £30m-£40m for him. Who cares what the tabloids think? Sometimes looking stupid in the short term is the best thing in the long term.I cant see Pogba in a United shirt again, I think it would take a personal call from SAF (he shouldnt/wouldnt do that imo) to set things right and for him to comeback.
